Back home from hk-macau trip, we stayed at hello inn guesthouse 6f mirador mansion, it's no.1 in tripadvisor, and it deserves to be, it's 320hkd/night, we could have saved more sa cosmic but I read from one review na may bed bugs so no. I love the guesthouse though I hate the lifts sa mirador mansion. Masikip and slow. Madami pa din na miss kahit 6 days, kaya dapat you should really be with someone whose a travel enthusiast as well. Panget kasi pag nagkakatamaran dahil pagod, mainit etc, sayang.
Super dense city pala ang hk, it's like a big shopping district, overpopulated din I think. Nawala kami ng maraming beses but that's part of it. Very modern subway. Sana ganto din satin. No guards sa mga malls as opposed dito sa pinas na kahit saan ka tumingin may guard on duty. We spent 200hkd on our octopus cards for 6 days stay. Super mainit din. And I find the people unhygienic, most of them even ladies have body odor.
Super sarap yung baked pork buns sa Tim ho wan, we also tried tsiu wah once, tossed noodles with prawns etc. big prawns talaga. Suki kami sa cafe de coral, may mararating na 20-25hkd mo dito, we grabbed our late dinner/snacks from nearby 711. We also bought bonaqua water here. I love their melon ice bar. 12 hkd lang. Would you all believe napagkasya namin 1400hkd food budget for the two of us? May 1 box pa ng egg tarts for 48hkd as pasalubong.
Takot ako sa heights so ninerbyos talaga ako sa ngong ping and ocean park cable car. I got our ngong ping one way standard ticket from Holiday world tours but there was a mistake, the lady encoded tung Chung to cable car route but we wanted the other way around. So I thought void na yung ticket but the desk lady officer (ruby Wong) helped us big time. She even called our travel agent to fix it. We had refreshments from Honeymoon dessert, which I think is overpriced. I had glutinous rice in coconut juice. Lasang our very own Bilo Bilo na malamig.
The peak was just so-so for me. It gets really high. May konting view of the city but the rail itself is situated sa gitna ng mga puno so yun ang nakita ko. Ang haba din ng pila, not organized. Fail din ang pagpunta namin dito, we were trying to catch the bus going to the lower peak tram terminus but it turned out that we walked all the way from subway to reach the area. Ok lang din ang Madame Tussaud's. Imo, if its your first, go na but if you've been to other tussauds, you can probably skip it. Fail kasi wala sil Jolie, Pitt, Lady G*g*. Sky terrace, crowded, we didn't stay any longer. Star ferry back home, akala ko long ride, parang isang tumbling lang pala.
Ocean park. We had 6 rides: hair raiser, arctic blast, rapids, raging river, ocean park tower, ferris wheel. We watched the show at ocean theatre, rode ocean express (be sure to look on top view) ; cable car back to waterfront. We missed the panda but we were able to see arctic fox. We had snacks at clowne corner: foot long bun 48hkd. We had snacks, grilled squid (sarap) and snow cone. Snow cone was refreshing but overpriced. Symbio was also nice. Amazing yung fire effects. The area got really warm nung nagkaroon ng fire.
Disneyland. Naabutan lang namin buntot ng parade. Sila woody na lang. Ok lang, you'll get wet. We watched mickeys philharmagic (super ganda), festival of lion king, missed out golden mickeys. We tried parachute drop, slinky dog spin, mystic manor (ganda din), grizzly mine cars (ganda din), its a small world (boring but towards the last trail, you'd hear the dolls singing Filipino to the tune of its a small world, interesting!), space mountain (ganda, twice kami sumakay dito, suggestion: get a fast pass), autopia. Ganda din ng fireworks but crowded. We had foot long buns from Flying saucer. Pansin ko lang their hotdogs are not delish as ours. It's bland. Kid friendly ang disneyland, kasi yung mga thrill rides nila like space mountain nakaset sa kiddo space thingy, unlike yung sa ocean park, open area talaga.
Macau. We felt na sayang yung round trip ferry ticket namin dito. We only got to see Venetian hotel, ganda din, amazing skies and gondola canal thing. We grabbed grilled chicken burger from Fast burger sa market st (di masarap) but I was able to take home pastelaria koi kei egg tarts (sarap, the crust itself is like the one found on croissants bread).
We got our tickets from holiday world tours, room 1021, 10f, peninsula centre, 67 mody road, Tst east, Kowloon hk. Disneyland 390hkd, op 235hkd, np360 one way 83hkd.
And from golden crown, we got our cotai rt ferry tickets 270hkd, peak+Tussaud's+sky 200hkd (but cts price is 1hkd cheaper).
