Sis madami nagsasabi na iwas daw sa chungking. May nabasa pa ako sa PEX na may na rape daw na tourist.
Yep, read about this too. Here's a news item about it. Kawawa naman yung Chinese student.  :'( Actually, even the guys outside Chungking look sketchy. If staying at guesthouses, best to go with the recommended ones such as Golden Crown.

But even if we do not travel, once a year nagpapa vaccine talaga kami.

Arrived home from HK last night. Below is a summary of our trip. True, the sales this year didn't seem that good - though it didn't stop my sister and I from filling up our luggage!

Jul 4
-Depart from Manila on Cebu Pac - no delay. Arrived in HK on time
-Took the A11 bus to our apartment in Causeway Bay, we arrived around 9:30AM and was able to check into our room early. In fairness, our studio room was small but very functional and located very close to exit C of the MTR.
-Ate at Butao Ramen - we got the Red King and the Green King - OMG! The ramens are to die for! No other ramen has ever come close!
-Shopped for water, fruits, chips, etc at Welcome. Driscoll strawberries were super cheap at less than HK$20 for the big pack
-Returned to our apartment and rested
-5PM took the subway to Mongkok - shopped at the fashion lane, and also visited the H&M at Langham place. Nearby to Langham were Cotton On and GAP.
-Ate at Orchard Garden cafe

Jul 5
-Ate breakfast at Ocean Empire Food Shop - congee, raddish cake w/ XO sauce, beef rice roll, twisted dough (bicho-bicho) rice roll. There is a peanut and bbq sauce you can mix to dip the twisted dough rice roll - soooo yummy!!!
-Shopped at Forever 21
-Bought our DL tickets at Times Square - there is a promo for a free box speaker for 2 adult tickets (credit card only). There was also a Monsters University Exhibit at Times Square
-Arrived at DL around 2:30 PM - the lines weren't too bad, but it was very VERY HOT!!! Also, a half day was not enough time - we were only able to catch the Lion King show (4PM) - missed both parades (1 and 4PM) and the Golden Mickey show (I got the time mixed up). Overall, we did have fun but wish we had more time. For those going anytime soon, please don't forget to drink water frequently, the sun was still brutally hot at 5PM. We stayed to watch the fireworks at 9PM but left before the very end so we wouldn't get stuck with the crowd.
-Had dinner at Tsui Wah Causeway Bay - fishball/fish cake soup, satay beef udon, condensed milk buns and milk tea.

Jul 6
-Breakfast at Tim Ho Wan Hong Kong Station - there was a line but the wait wasn't too bad, about 10-15 minutes. The baked pork bbq buns and glutinous rice dumplings were delicious! But I found the siomai, hakaw and rice rolls ordinary lang. The best hakaw I had was at Canton Star
-Shopped at Central - Longchamp, H&M, Cotton On
-Travelled to TST - shopped at Bossini outlet, Cotton On and Trendyland (Disney items)
-Had dinner at Macau restaurant Causeway Bay
-Shopped at Island Beverly and Sasa
-Dessert at Crumbs
-Midnight snack - cheese sausage, curry fishball and pan fried dumplings from the stalls across from Crumbs.

Jul 7
-Shopped at Welcome, Lane Crawford, Jusco Living Plaza and Jardine's bazaar
-Lunch at Butao Ramen
-Left apartment at 2:30PM and took a taxi to Hong Kong Station - Airport Express
-Arrived at airport at 3:30PM
-Shopped and ate at the airport
-On time departure via Cebu Pacific
