I kinda find Julia plain Jane at the end of the day.

I find her pretty pero nakakasawa ang beauty niya  kaso ang nega niya pati buong angkan nila. Idol ko si Claudine dati pero ayoko na rin sa kanya.

Ang layo ng beauty ni Clau kay Julia..I think mas napansin lang si Clau noon kasi kay Gretchen..For me, Julia is still prettier...mas kahawig niya si Gretchen..Si Claudine ang taas ng nguso when she started sa showbiz.

I agree that Julia is much prettier than her Tita Claudine. BUT, ang layo naman by kilometers ang galing ng pag-arte ni Claudine kesa sa kanya. Julia is just another pretty face like her Tita Gretchen. Sa Barretto clan naman, it's only Claudine who lasted long in showbiz because of her acting skills (don't talk about greta dahil if she didn't stop due to Toni, she also wouldn't have lasted long din dahil wa talga sa acting dept.). I'd rather have an actress who's not that pretty but can act really well (like how Bea A started out, too) than someone with a pretty face pero pinagsisiksikan sarili sa showbiz kahit nakaka-cringe makita ang acting sa TV. Inis na inis na nga ako sa dami nila na artista ngayon na walang talent at yung iba kumakanta pa kahit ang sakit sa tenga ng mga boses!

Agree..pero aanhin naman ang talent kung may issue naman sa ugali..Saan na ba c Claudine ngayon? Mas mag lalast talaga ang artista kung maganda ang mukha plus maganda ang ugali.Sad to say parang wala sa Barreto talaga ang ganito.hehe

Anyway, walang mangyayari sa career ni Julia B if panay ang away ng mga matatanda sa family nya. Even her debut, no matter how posh/classy it is, will be puno ng ka-negahan pag wala ang tatay nya. In fairness, si Cinco ang may gawa ng 3 gowns nya.

Kanya-kayang preference naman yan. To even count that as a validation of someone's beauty, for me, is only for fantards.


Maganda si Julia, next to Greta, sya ang pinakamaganda sa Barretto (I'm still waiting for Claudia to bloom) for me. But I hope matapos na ang issues na ang mga matatanda lang gumagawa sa family nila. They're not setting a good example to the younger gen.

she will always be nega hanggat kinakalaban nya ang tatay nya. ang mali kasi kay julia imbes na hindi na sya magcomment eh nagcocomment pa sya ng masama sa tatay nya. kahit may mali man si dennis sa kanya or sa family nya wag na lang sana sya mag-comment, knowing showbiz, yung maliit na bagay lumalaki,.

what do you expect of her? She's a Barretto. Like her mom and her aunts, mga patulera sa mga issues, comment dito comment dyan. retaliate dito, retaliate dyan. mukhang likas na sa pamilya nila ang ganito. kaya their issues hindi natatapos and them lumalaki pa.

She has a pretty face. Nothing else. Walang appeal for me. Iba dating ni Clau.

Clau is entirely in a different level. Bata pa lang nakitaan mo na talaga. We didn't know how she was behind the camera. We just reveled in her blockbuster hits. Yun pala, madaming tinatago.

Julia, she's pretty. Great on print ads, commercials ganyan. PERO acting-wise? Hmmmm...long way to go pa. It doesn't seem to come naturally to her, when she acts kitang-kita mo na everything's rehearsed, read off a script. Definitely incomparable to Clau in terms of talent - AngTV days pa lang, Claudine was already really good. And ewan ko ba, Julia doesn't seem to have that 'it' factor. Walang 'pull', lacks genuine charm. Compared to Julia, Janella Salvador, though not exactly a better actress, has more charisma.

BUT I just hope these Barrettos get their act together. Tatanda na immature pa.

Yeah, but as a viewer, I care more on how they act -- what quality they give to me for the money I'm paying to watch their movies or the subscription to watch their shows in TFC. Kay Julia, waley. Si Claudine, although I was never of fan of her kasi nga ang dami kong naririnig noon na gulo nya (from Mark Anthony to Rico Yan), but she has made my watching her movies super worth it. Ang galing nya lang umarte. Parang super fave ko rin na artista noon si Maricel kasi napakagaling nya mapa-comedy or drama. But then, we know Maria is not kind to ppl off-cam.  But fave ko pa rin sya kasi fave ko movies nya talaga nung bata ako.

Kay Julia, ayoko nang further laitin pa acting nya, I think it speaks for itself.

^ I understand where you're coming from, sis. Waley naman talaga lahat ng shows nya. I mean, it didn't make a mark. She was launched first but sya ang naging waley. Siguro naawa lang ako since super nega na lahat ng posts here kaya somehow I felt it's unfair na ikumpara sya sa tita nya.

Re Clau, she was brilliant then. She was blessed with the right projects (though I'd prefer Juday pa rin).

I honestly don't find her pretty. ang layo ng ganda ni liza soberano and even janella salvador sa kanya. mas may talent pa yung dalawa compared to her (liza-acting, janella-singing).
