i agree.. naaawa talaga ko kay dennis.. i know he's a good father..he tried everything to support his family kaya nga lang iba talaga ang mga baretto..

I think the real reason behind the petition to change surname is financial. So dennis wont have a claim to julia's income.

Syempre, the barrettos are expecting that julia will make it big and therefore will be earning millions. So isip siguro nila, baka dennis might want a portion of that money. And to prevent that from happening in the future, ngayon palang they want changes to be made.

Plus, since dennis is now "poor" eh useless na sya to marj.

Im basing my thoughts on what we all read about the barrettos. They are very financially motivated.


Eta: And also, so dennis wont have a say on his daughter's career.

I hope that the adults surrounding julia dont poison her mind. Kawawa naman yung bata lalo na if walang valid reason to sever ties with his father.

Agree.  Kaya ko din natanong kung si Julia lang ba ang papapalitan kasi kung lahat nung 3 anak ang magiging legally Barretto eh baka nga it has something to do with how Dennis is/was as a father.  Pero kung yung anak lang na malaki ang income sa ngayon ang papapalitan, sounds fishy to me.  Napanood ko din yung interview ni Dennis sa Startalk nung Saturday.  In fairness, it wasn't OA as I was expecting it to be.  Akala ko kasi magda-drama drama si Dennis.  Buti na lang sinagot nya ng direcho and maayos yung mga tanong without being dramatic.

May lumabas ng artik sa ABS website on why she eants to drop Dennis' surname. So they still insist na yun di pagkalegal nun ni-legitimate sya ang dahilan.

Julia was born daw before her parents allegedly got married in 1997. Nun time na yun di pa pala totally annuled si Dennis sa una nyang asawa. Sa birth cert Barreto talaga ang surname nya. But after the marriage, legally ginawa na syang legitimate and was given the surname Baldivia under the premise that her parents' wedding was valid. Pero di pa nga pala annuled si Dennis.

Si Julia lang ata ang nagdadrop ng surname since sya lang ata ang pinanganak nun time na di pa valid kasal ng parents nya. Financial support was not an issue raw. May nabanggit pa na it could create confusion if icontinue nya ang paggamit sa Baldivia. I can't post the link here, mobile eh.

I think there's no question naman sa legality ng pagpapalit. She could do it anytime. Kaya siguro nasabi rin ni Dennis na parang wag naman sana. I think he knows na it could be done. So, sissies possible palang magamit ang surname ng father, though kasal pa sa iba, basta i-acknowledge lang? Kahit na kasal sa iba ang tatay?

yes sis.. i have this cousin na her mom was nabuntis lang ng tito ko and my tito is married kasi sa ibang girl but he acknowledge my cousin kaya my cousin is using my tito's last name. pwede yun basta i-acknowledge ng father yung baby.

if ever mag-palit ng last name si julia i think amg-ccreate ng negative impression to sa mga tao.

Ang nega talaga ng batang ito, kahit ang ganda niya di ko makuhang magustuhan. Dami kasi issues ng pamilya nila eh pati siya tuloy damay. Itong nanay kasi niya eh mukhang pera.

based on the explanation of julia's camp:

1. kung gusto LANG ni julia ayusin ang legal na status ng parents niya then dominique cojuangco should also do the same kasi illegitimate din siya.
2. marjorie did not know dennis was married before her? huh? everybody knew he had a family hindi lang wife pati kids.
3. bakit ang anak ang kailangan umayos sa legal status ng parents niya? nobody is questioning who her parents are. dapat si marjorie magayos ng mga documents niya na me baldivia pa not the kids.

bad move on marjorie's part. nakasilip tuloy mga tao sa mga motibo ni marjorie. tsk, tsk, tsk...
