The Speculoos Craze

super yummy ang ovomaltine.  I bought fluff yesterday at sm ang mura 249 yata yung pinakamalaking container na.  I dunno what to do with it pero masarap talaga siya eh.

Just last weekend, I bought the Nestle Temptations Flavors of the World Dutch Speculoos Flavored Ice Cream. Didn't like it very much.

Binigyan ako ng malaking container ng Speculoos at pinapak ko sa isang upuan hanggang maubos. Hindi na naulit.

dati ang trader joe's speculoos cookie butter tig 500 sa mga pa-pre order, ngayon 200 nalang... nawala na ata yung hype ng peanut butter na ito...
pero masarap parin... hehe

I remember when people were going crazy over this, tipong friends would hoard this during trips abroad and haul it all back to Manila, or ask other friends or relatives to buy for them.  Haven't tried it myself since di ako ganun kahilig sa spreads, but ang dami nga nagsasabi na masarap siya, so maybe now is a good time to try it out.

tapos na ang hype, shelves are fully stocked now.  during the peak,  at trader joe's,  they didn't stock them on the shelves,  you had to go to customer service to purchase it, 1 jar a customer.


pinapapak ko lang siya with a spoon,  i like the crunchy variant.


another fave is their potato and lentil snack called Crunchy Curls, healthier than regular chips pero addicting.

kasi si TJ sobrang dinamihan yung stocks e nilalangaw na tuloy ang speculoos ngayon.

i think the new craze is Speculoos Ice Cream.  haven't tried it yet but saw it on my news feed posted by my niece in chicago.  maybe i'll get some this weekend.

hindi na aabot yang ice cream here sa pinas. What we have here is the speculoos gelato from Bono.
