Unsalted butter is always best kasi you can control the amount of salt. But the salt content of the butter does not have anything to do with how moist and chewy baked goods are. So I would say, check the technique in incorporating the butter and the state (kung softened or meted) of the butter sa recipe instructions.

ah ok.. sis first time ko gumawa ng crinkles.. nung ni-roll ko yun dough sa confectioner sugar ang bilis matunaw ng sugar. bakit ganun? overnight ko nilagay sa ref yun dough.

I haven't tried crinkles eh pero try rolling it on the sugar on room temperature. Baka kasi nagkakaron ng condensation so may excess moisture. I am just a beginner like you. I hope other sisters, will comment as well.

^so happy to find this thread..sinimulan ko talaga from pg 1 [textspeak!] part 3 :)

Pareho tayo, sis. 3x na yata ko nagtry sa crinkles and laging fail because of that though I followed naman the instructions to the letter.

Here's what I do. Yung dough ko bago ko iref is dinidivide ko into 3 or 4 parts then cling wrap then REFRIGERATE lang. Hindi sa freezer. Then one by one ko siyang niroroll sa kamay ko and put generous amount of powdered sugar. Maliit lang oven ko kaya i bake it in 3-4 batches. Like you said natutunaw yung sugar. So ganun na ang gawa ko hehe hope it helps sa mga baker jan. Try lang ng try. 😊

Crinkles I use Dari Creme Classic.  ref muna yung crinkles dough mixture before baking.  kapag bake mo kagad, tendency kasi masyadong flat yung kalalabasan ng cookie.  gusto ko medyo maumbok kasi yung cookie.
