i miss baking. it's been two weeks. these past three days i've been holed up and stressed by work. ngayon ang motivation ko....kailangan matapos ko na 'to...para makasama ko na ang anak ko, para makapagjuice na ako, para makapagluto na ako, para makapagbake na ako.

so many things to do after the things to do are done.

Care to share your tried and tested sugar cookie recipe? Yun pwede lagyan ng royal icing.   Want to learn to bake these.  Thanks.

i tried this recipe from allrecipes site  http://allrecipes.com/recipe/the-best-rolled-sugar-cookies/

masarap sya.  the kids and the hubby liked it.  ang lasa nya parang rosquillos.  suggest that you chill the dough for more than an hour kasi ang init talaga this summer.  if you're a  newbie, start with cookie cutters with simple designs.

i didn't use royal icing pala and just used confectioners sugar and milk.  may light corn syrup din pala, but i saw some recipes that only called for confec sugar and milk.  to thicken, put more confec sugar.  to make the icing thinner, put in more milk (a teaspoon at a time).  use gel food coloring instead of the liquid food coloring para mas intense ang colors.

Hi everyone!

Sa royal icing, first time.

agree on "napakagastos"!

nung bago akong nagbebake medyo naindulge ko sarili ko :-( ngayon i only have little time to bake, naka-stock yung mga recipes na binili ko by bulk last year (by bulk kasi mas mura). yung iba, nalipasan na ng expiry date.
