^ Hehe saw a youtube video for that kind of icing and it's called marshmallow icing. LOL! But they're using FLUFF marshmallow cream. I don't know if I can substitute melted mallows for it. Mag experiment ako. ;) Planning on making a DIY cupcake tower for my baby's baptism na hindi naka individually boxed yung cupcakes. Mas ok ata at room temp yung ganung icing. Although the buttercream I made was holding its shape din naman. Gusto ko lang mag try ng iba. Hehe0

marshmallow icing ang ginagawa ko palagi, pero made from warm egg whites. naghohold din ng shape using 1M swirl. at sigurado mas magugustuhan ng mga bata yan, kesa sa buttercream.
room temp or chilled, fluffy pa rin siya.

hindi na ako mag aabala mag melt ng marshmallows. masarap na siya ng ganun. tsaka nakakalibre pa ako ng leche flan using the yolks. hehe

meron ulit akong on going DIY ngayon, order for friday, para sa 1st birthday party. another princess themed party.

Hi all.

Just to share. Alam nating convenient ang paggamit ng microwave to melt chocolate, marshmallow, and also food. Kasi I personally do not advise using the microwave.
Studies have shown that the microwave heat itself alters the genetic make-up of food, nawawala yung nutrients ng pagkain. I'd rather heat my milk and melt my chocolates in the usual stove way than feed "empty-nutrient" food to whomever pinatitikim ko ng mga gawa ko.

^ i agree that's why I never use microwaves. even if it's inconvenient, i'd rather steam or use the stove to heat food. and i'm scared about using microwaves, too  ;D

Hello there! I'm just new in this network, and i really find your baking post so interesting. Unfortunately, haven't had a convection oven to try the recipes. Can anyone help me to find a good brand of table top convection oven and yet affordable.  :) thanks mga sis, hope to hear from you soon....

Hi, just want to ask for recommendations on the brand and type of oven to buy/use? I'm currently looking at buying a new oven and I'm wondering what the best options are? :)

^ Hi Sisses! There is a thread here re: Mini Ovens. :) You can look that up so you can read up on our fellow sisses' recommendations. But so far, I think most here are using Imarflex 3 in 1 Ovens. I, on the other hand, use a Black and Decker Mini Oven :)

Ingredients
1 1/4 cups self raising flour
1/3 cup milk powder
3/4 cup softened butter
2 tbsp castor sugar
1/4 cup condensed milk
plain flour
butter for greasing
1/2 cup melted Dark Chocolate
Method
Sieve the flour. Combine the flour with the milk powder and keep aside.
Cream the butter and castor sugar till light and fluffy.
Add the condensed milk to it and mix well.
Fold in the flour mixture and mix gently to form a soft dough.
Refrigerate the dough for about 20 minutes.
Divide the dough into 20 equal portions and shape into round cookies using your hands.
Place the cookies on a greased baking tray and bake in a pre-heated oven at 160°c (320°f) for about 15 to 20 minutes.
Remove from the baking tray and cool on a wire rack.
Dip half of each cookie into the melted chocolate and allow to set on a wire rack.
