for me, di naman kelangan akyatin pa yun taas,
Maganda lang papicture na Sky tree ang background.
best spot for this is sa may Sumida river..

Pwede mo Makita ng free ang Tokyo skyline if you go to Tokyo Metropolitan Govt Bldg Observatory.

Tama ba pagkaintindi ko sis, relaxed lang ang visa requirements, pero hindi pa rin exempted. Meaning aaply pa rin talaga ng visa via agency?

Hi, sis angelvenus. I haven't tried staying in any of the Khaosan Guesthouses, pero kasama siya sa mga na-consider kong options for accommodations when planning the trip. Marami din naman kasing okay na reviews sa TripAdvisor.

I think mostly nasa Asakusa area ang Khaosan Guesthouses. Marami siyang "branches." It will be up to you na lang to choose which one you would prefer. Nasa website nila ang description ng bawat guesthouse, nakasulat na karaniwan malapit sa mga train stations. Check here:

Actually, papunta palang kami ng Tokyo in a few weeks. We have chosen to stay at K's House Tokyo Oasis, also in Asakusa. I think mas malayo siya sa mga train stations, pero we prefer it because it is located in a quiet neighborhood. Tapos at the time bago namin siya i-book, number one ang K's House sa mga hostels sa TripAdvisor. We booked a traditional Japanese room kaya mas mahal nang konti.

Sayang, kasi naka-order na kami ng pocket wifi sa Global Advanced Commmunications. And it's been paid for.

^ Hi Sis Kim, we haven't tried the free when we went to Tokyo last month. Nag avail din kame ng pocket wifi sa Global Advance. Btw just an advice, always keep a portable charger kung di kayo nag order. The pocket wifi can last for 8 hours in our case with 4 devices connected to it.

^^ sis Kim ok nga yung don sa K's house tokyo oasis, mukha siyang bago. yung sa khaosan original, siya yung nakita ko na pinakamurang hostel.. may 2200 yen sila na inooffer e.. pero yung khaosan kabuki #3 siya sa tripadvisor.. october pa naman trip namin pero searching na ako ngayon baka sakali mas mura. sis paano ka pala nagpabook? gumamit ka credit card? thanks

excited na din ako sa october trip namin! Online na lang ako bibili ng disney ticket namin, kaso hanggang august pa lang yung eticket nila wala pa yung pang october...

Sis, mura nga sa Khaosan kung 2,200 JPY per night. Nakuha kasi namin 'yung double ensuite type B room (traditional Japanese room) sa K's House Tokyo Oasis for 9,200 JPY per night. Pero ang maganda doon, hindi kami nirequire ng downpayment at all. Although pag nag-reserve ka, hihingan ka talaga ng credit card information. Hindi naman nila chinarge. Heto 'yung sabi sa email:

Please let us know if you need to change or cancel your reservation,
otherwise cancellation fee will be claimed.

We require 48 hours cancellation or any changes to your reservation
prior to your scheduled arrival otherwise we will charge you a
cancellation fee as below.

* 30% of your first night will be charged if you do not notify us
about your cancellation or any changes by 22:00pm 2days before your
scheduled arrival.

* 50% of your first night will be charged if you do not notify us
about your cancellation or any changes by 22:00pm the day before your
scheduled arrival.

Kaya ko lang hindi kinuha 'yung sa Khaosan kasi wala ng available private rooms sa Kabuki branch nila for the dates that we will be there.

do you think mabilis nalang makakuha ng visa sa japan? will apply mga november siguro super excited hinahanda ko na lahat now hahaha

i always visit Japan. pero netong May kasama ko brother ko and he applied sa Pinas. travel history niya Hong Kong madalas as in, Macau 2x, China 2x, Singapore 2x or 3x ata then Malaysia. He just graduated from med school nung March. he was given a visa naman.

i know madali na lang makakuha ng visa now, as long as yung financial docs mo enough (as what they think) to cover your trip. then gawa ka lang din ng itinerary mo kahit di mo yun sundin oks lang. siguro to satisfy the embassy na you've been planning the trip talaga. attach your old passports if meron.

we stayed sa Keio Plaza Hotel last month. ok naman siya katapat ng Metropolitan Govt Bldg, connected sa Train station. Shinjuku area. daming malls at makakainan na malapit. they have free shuttle to Disney land / sea. may shuttle din to airport pero may fee. staffs are so nice. free wifi. they have filipino staffs.

^ I booked Keio Plaza too for our upcoming trip because of its proximity to the train station, free Disney shuttle, stopover siya ng airport limousine bus and the pick-up bus going to Hakone is also nearby.  Perfect location for us.  I availed their MasterCard promo "stay 3 nights, get 4th night free" kasi malaking savings din iyon.

Did you book the Disney shuttle in advance?  I read some comments in Trip Advisor that the shuttle also gets full and you need to book it ahead by reserving it through the hotel.
