^ we got our Suica from one of the train stations in Tsukuba, when we went to Disneyland. So I'm sure you can also get it from any train station in Tokyo. As for pocket wifi, sa Global Advanced kami nag-rent before e.

sisses clarification lang JR pass and suica are entirely different. JR passes hindi mo kailangan icharge kasi unlimited use na yun for JR Lines and some JR shinkansen route. With Suica card bibilin mo siya sa kahit saang station for 500 yen pero ang babayaran ata 2500 yen para may charge na na 2000 yen. then ichacharge mo na lang siya kapag ubos na. Suica card you can use this almost anywhere kahit convenience stores, some restaurants, fast food chains, buses, etc. may isang counterpart ito named PASSMo pero the same use like suica din.

^  Sa Czarina ako bumibili ng yen.  You just have to call them a week in advance para sigurado na meron silang yen.

Too bad tapos na pala yung NEX + Suica na combo! Till March 31 lang. Yun sana pinakamura na option from Narita to Downtown and v.v. Anyway, any other cheaper option from Narita to downtown Tokyo? Thank you! ^^

Parang better to buy usd then change to yen. Kasi ang usd 100 usd=10000 yen.

@vanity What part of Mt. Fuji are you coming from? If from Kawaguchiko, there is a local bus that goes to Gotemba outlet. Ask tourist desk for timetable and fares

@katniss 50% off ang Nex  pag foreign passport. kasama na ang transfer if JR route. Buy this at the Jr counter right before entering the train platform.

ask ko lang mga sisters, di ba parang medyo lugi if you buy (in peso) ng USD and convert your bought USD to yen? i think sa process ng double conversion mas marami loss kasi iba din kasi ang buying and selling price ng money. imho lang.

Anyway, nagpapalit ako peso to yen in Czarina. I called them yesterday and nakuha ko naman ngayon. Mas cheaper ata exchange rate than if sa Japan ka pa magpapalit.

^yan rin naisip ko sis kasi may mawawala na sa'yo kapag nagpapalit ka from peso to USD. tapos may mawawala uli kapag USD to yen pa.

Sobrang laki ng loss kapag magpapapalit ng peso to yen in Japan.. Last march, exchange rate when we bought yen in czarina was like .43 pero sa japan .5 na, sobrang lugi.. Better yet to withdraw money in japan rather than having your peso exchanged, closer to the real exchange rate pa..

The weather is crazy in Tokyo, stayed for 4 days since Thursday last week.
One minute it is sunny, next it's raining.

Japanese are very helpful even though they can't converse in english very well.
In Ueno park, the trees are in full bloom. I guess by now, everywhere else.

I stayed 2 days in a capsule hotel in Shinjuku, then another 2 in a hostel in Ueno.
On some days, it is better to get the day pass if you dont have the JR pass.
May one time na I traveled from east to west from morning till night lol

^Which airport sis haneda or narita? btw may flights na manila-haneda less traveling time ito going to downtown tokyo.
if narita, depending on the schedule sis. sometimes it's way faster to go to Nippori station via yamanote line the. transfer to keisei sky liner to Narita than taking the narita express from shinjuku.

^^^^ sis baka alam mo, how much ang estimate na charge if mag-withdraw ka ng money thru their ATM? and yung limit how much you can withdraw.

^^^^^for USD if you have one rather than buying it, i think that's better para di double conversion.

^^ makikisagot ako since we usually withdraw from ATMs when we travel. For every withdrawal, fee is USD3 per transaction, this applies whether in Europe, US, Middle East or within Asia lang.. So para masulit and halos di ma-feel ang transaction fee, it's good to maximize your allowable withdrawal amount per transaction (depends on your bank, in peso then estimated conversion to local currency).

hi sisses. question naman sa mga andyan ngayon. 10-23 degrees kasi ang range ng temp pagdating ko, not sure sa effect ng wind, pero masyado makapal ba ang faux leather type jackets? kung sweater lang kaya ba? or blazer type? hindi ko alam kung ano dadalhin ko

Sis Calin, less than P200 lang ata withdrawal fee.. yung atm ko maximum withdrawal per day is P50,000.. super convenient ATMs sa 7-11, they accept mastercard and visa..

^thanks sis, i was thinking kasi yung max withdrawal ng mga ATM here.. some issued card here is 10-20k lang max withdrawal. I should call my bank to clarify din muna but papalit din kami sa czarina.

Blairbunny, I left Tokyo yesterday and I could say mainit na. Naka sleeveless maxi dress na nga lang ako.  Kyoto is a little bit cooler when i was there 4 days ago. Maulan kasi. Mag blazer type ka nalang.
