Tips ng mommy ko sa akin pag nag luluto ng filipino style spagetti sauce

* huwag mag lalagay ng vetsin or ginisa seasoning

my usual spaghetti sauce is 1pack clara ole three cheese, 1 smaller pack huts tomato sauce, 1 smaller pack del monte tomato paste, I just add sugar, salt, pepper and lots of oregano powder.

Kapag in season ang tomatoes I boil the tomatoes, remove the skin and the seeds, mince carrots, bell pepper , onion, garlice and put it in the blender.  Then saute in pan , put some salt, pepper, sugar and lots of oregano powder

interesting yang recipe ng jollibee kaya lang di ako mahilig sa sweet sauce but i'll try maglagay din ng sprite. may hinahanap din akong lasa kapag gumagawa
tomato based sauce kahit Mcdo spag style lang kaya lang di ko makuha kaya madalas i don't put sauce mostly aglio olio style ang niluluto ko.

My no-brainer spaghetti sauce with meatballs:

In a pot:
Sauté lots of sliced garlic & lots of minced white onions in extra virgin olive oil
Add 1 large pack & 1 small pack of Del Monte Italian Spaghetti Sauce & 1 large pack Del Monte
       Filipino/sweet Spaghetti Sauce
Add dried herbs: parsley, sage, rosemary & thyme. (Approximately,  1/2 tsp per spice)
Let it all simmer on low heat for 30minutes; frequently stirring so nothing sticks to the pan bottom & burns (papait your sauce)

In a bowl:
Soak 2 slices white bread (slice off hard edges) in about 2 tb of milk to soften it & so it's easy to mix in with
1/3 kg lean ground beef & 1/3 kg lean ground pork
Season with salt & pepper
Make meatballs out of the mixture

Add meatballs to the simmering sauce
Simmer over low heat for 45 minutes

This sauce can be frozen/refrigerated & portions reheated (add a little little water so it doesn't dry out)
Serve in a bowl, separate from pasta with thinly shaved  cheese on the side --  Mix your own spaghetti
Don't forget the bread sticks or garlic French bread

My dad's "To Die  For Spaghetti" --  yeah, you'll die early per my Lola:

Sauté in extra virgin olive oil:
         A few thinly sliced garlic
thinly sliced ripe tomatoes (preferably yung hindi makapal balat)
         Talangka aligue (canned/bottled, not fresh)
Chopped salty bacon  (remove too fatty parts)
Once done, mix in pasta & immediately serve

Pinakagusto ko spag is sa pancake house.  Sana may makapag-share...

I'm experimenting now in yhe kitchen because my kids love pasta.  Ang type namin lahat is yung with all purpose cream.  I also prefer clara ole than the other tomato sauce brands. I've tried three cheese, filipino style and with basil.  All are good.  Tapos i add basil and mushroom.  Yummeeeee!

And yeah, ok rin pala na spam instead na hotdog :)

Share ko yung akin. Hindi masyado mahilig sa vegetables si hubby so try ko incorporate sa food yung vegetables na gusto nya at hindi nya mahahalata.  So what I add sa spaghetti sauce, chop finely yung carrots, mushrooms and bell pepper. Then for added zing, since walang bata sa house, we add hot sauce.  I posted in my blog yung healthy spaghetti ko if you want to check out the recipe:  http://homebaseddiva.blogspot.com/2013/06/healthy-spaghetti.html

p.s. let me know kung bawal i-post [textspeak!] link, i'll gladly remove. sorry po.
