Am I being too unfair?

Am I being too unfair?

Hi Guys.

I've been in a relationship for six years na. Most peole would think na almost perfect na ang relationship namin because we've been together for "six" years. We started as college friends and eventually after a couple of years, we became a couple. We spent almost 4 years in college so expected na lagi kami magkasama and we go out with the same circle of friends. I can say nasanay ako sa ganoon set up namin noon. Now, that we're both working na, I must admit na we're still having issues. Trust issues to be exact. It was two years ago when we almost broke up. That time boyfriend's looking for work and the time na nakahanap siya, hindi kami okay. Nauna ako nagkaroon ng work sa kanya and I feel that time na I can do this without him. Honestly, for a moment I thought I could stand on my own. He kept on communicating with me once in a while pero hindi kasing dalas noon. I missed him, pero I enjoyed the people around me kaya hindi ko siya masyado naiisip. I think this lasted for five months. I was confident that time when my colleagues would ask me what happened, can't remember the exact words pero I knew in my heart na hindi siya magloloko. Because we made a promise na kami lang talaga, na we just have to part ways for a while kasi nga kailangan pa namin maayos yun problem namin. I swear, these five months was the worst part of our relationship. Thankfully, we managed to fix it and naging okay din kami ulit. Until one day, I feel like he cheated on me. Since then, I started thinking what happened in the past few months na hindi kami magkasama. In short, nawala yun trust ko sa kanya. And since he's working in a call center, mas lalo ako natakot na something happened behind my back. I have nothing against callcenter agents but let's face it, it's reality na maraming issues sa ganyan. He used to work there for two years, so imagine what I've been through habang doon siya nagwowork.  After shift drinking sessions, out of towns, him being close with girls, etc etc. I feel like everytime I try to give back my trust, nasisira lang ito dahil may nakikita ako. Though walang proof or evidence na he cheated on me talaga. By the way, it's given na he's close with girls talaga kasi he's such a funny guy and hello, only guy ka ba naman sa limang babaeng magkakapatid. College pa lang kami, aware na ako doon pero before kasi I know his girl friends, but now, I don't even know them tapos you're close to him? I know this may sound too selfish but feeling ko I was traumatized na. I feel insecure too kapag may sexy or pretty girls siya na napapansin, though he's open naman sa mga ganoon.

We're really doing good actually but I can't hide the fact that I can't give back my trust. He would say sorry kapag feeling niya mali yun ginawa niya pero most of the time, he wouldn't kasi he knows and he's confident enough na wala siyang ginagawang mali. He even gave up his Facebook (for two years during his stay sa call center) for me para wala ng issues. He also makes time for me always.. Kahit pa na conflict ang work schedules namin, kahit saglit pa yan magkikita at magkikita parin kami. We used to go to church every Sunday din kapag may time. He would let me have time with his sisters and cousins/family kapag may lakad.. Sinusundo niya din ako sa work if time permits. He would write handwritten letters with doodles pa kapag may occassion or even simpleng araw lang. That's how dedicated he is to me as a boyfriend..

Early this year, we thought of getting married in two or three years time. Honestly, I can't imagine my life without him kasi alam kong mahal niya ako and ng family niya and he never left me since day one. It's just that I have my personal issues. I can't seem to trust him.. Alam ko everytime I bring up this issue, nasasaktan ko siya pero I can't help it. Ang hirap to be in this situation kasi parang I can't move on with the past. Parang dala ko parin lahat hanggang ngayon..

Am I being too unfair to him and to myself? I feel like I know the answer pero in denial parin ako. This has to stop pero I don't know where to start. I don't wanna lose him and this relationship.. He's a nice guy, no wonder may mga girls na nagttry na sirain yun relationship namin.

By the way, thanks for reading. Ang haba ng post ko but really thanks for your time.

So why does he need to get/earn it back? Sorry, naconfuse lang ako..

Anyway, you need to resolve your personal issues and your kapraningan. Ano ba talaga ang nagbobother sa yo? So di mo kilala friends nya, why not ask him to introduce you to his friends? Or ask him na isama ka minsan sa mga lakad nya with officemates. IMO, you are being unfair to your bf.

^oo nga, parang wala naman nabanggit na nambabae or something? If you feel that way because
he works/ed in a call center then yes you are being unfair.

The reason why we almost broke up is I saw a photo of him with another girl.. And I'm not aware na kasama nila yun. I just don't wanna go into details. Then there's another one, a photo of him during inuman with another who almost kissed him. If you're a guy who's committed, would you allow that to happened? I just feel like nabastos ako kasi di niya iisipin sa kanya or sa akin ng officemates niya. Then a few months passed, I have a close friend (who works in the same company as my boyfriend) saw him being close to this girl (iba pa ito). They used to have lunch together, magkasama lagi sa floor and all. I did ask him about this since I want to know the answer, straight to my face. Wala din siya inamin, pero I can see the photos na they're close nga. And have this thing called endearment. Not sure if they call each other this "term" pero the girl uses this term a lot. And I have confirmed it with my boyfriend na may pinanggalingan nga yun "term" na yun. So there... now tell me girls if I should be paranoid or not. :/

That time na paranoid na ako, he didn't let me join them  kasi it's a team building. Since then, parang hindi na ako nag-ask na isama niya ako. He should ask me in the first place and why would I beg him for me to join? I did once, pero hindi na ulit nangyari yun. Well to be fair naman with him, sinama niya ako once with an all-couple overnight trip with his officemates. There's this one time na niloko siya with this "term", so yun hindi naman ako maniniwala sana, or magpapadala since alam ko naman na it was just a joke. Not until I saw his phone, him texting who's named after the "term" na niloloko sa akin. The message was deleted, so hindi ko alam kung anong meron, pero why delete it kung wala ka naman tinatago? Then a YEAR after, I found out that this girl na niloloko sa kanya during our trip, is the same girl na nakita ng close friend ko na kasama niya lagi.

^ay may term of endearment na sila? uhm... well that happened to me before.
since my previous work kept me away for long period of time (lagi ako naaassign sa province), my ex and

That's all part of the past na, sis. Wala na silang communication since my boyfriend left the company. It's just that I'm afraid this might happen again, though lahat naman ng time niya except for work ay nasa akin. During his off, ako kasama niya. I want to think na they're just close friends since hindi lang naman siya ang close girl friend ng boyfriend ko.

You gotta get over The Past.  Don't go bak to it, like a lousy movie you repeatedly watch..
People make mistakes; people forgive them.
IF he made a mistake once, & you're together now -- you MUST STOP being fearful, & stop nagging him.
You are just torturing yourself.
Love gives no guarantees, take note.

^^ayun naman pala eh. Past na pala sis. And kung hindi naman naging sila, then you have nothing to be paranoid/afraid of.
If you will take that against him (until now) when in fact, there was never really a thing between them, then you are being unfair.
Mangyayari at mangyayari na makakakilala siya (kayo) ng ibang tao, you'll just have to strenghten your relationship with your man.
Instead of thinking of such things about him, think of ways na lang para maging mas close kayo. Para hindi na kayo ulit magkaron ng "off" moments like the
5mos that you were apart.

so sis ano ang reason for paranoia since sabi mo naman ang situation niya ngayon you can guarantee ikaw lang?
do not get me wrong i believe we are in the same boat at LDR pa kami my partner has asked for a timeoff mag one week na and prior to this we had repeated issues tungkol sa ex niya na three years na eh keeps on popping out on their family events na ipinagsisinungaling niya sakin at nalalaman ko naman..well in my case katangahan na yung tawag sakin..so imagine ang paranoia levels ko ngayon..

so i just want to know why does that thought keeps on bugging you? is it because you haven't fully forgiven him..i say forgive kasi never na yata yung forget so all we can hope for is to fully forgive the mistake..or meron bang signs na drives you to think na baka meron pa or bala maulit...

Thanks, sis! Maybe I just had to let this out. I want to feel better na. :)

Thankful na din ako kasi he never left me kahit na ay issues ako. He's trying his best to understand me pero I can feel na he gets pissed din kapag naopen-up ang trust issues. He always say na wag na daw ako gumawa ng reasons na makakasama lang sa amin, siguro I have this fear of losing him again, kaya I'm being overprotective. Hay I'll try my best to overcome this.. I can do this!

I have this fear that this can happen again.. Though I'm more comfortable na sa work niya ngayon. Siguro I have to say I hate seeing him being close with other girls. I know it's wrong pero I got traumatized na, kasi the same thing happened sa close friends niya before.

Siguro nga kaya I can't fully forgive him kasi he didn't admit anything, kahit may nakikita ako. Maybe he chose to kept things na lang kasi alam niyang iisipin at iisipin ko yun kahit na for him eh wala naman siyang ginagawang masama. Alam ko behind my back he's being naughty and all with the guys, pero kapag kasama ko naman siya same parin pero he's being open kasi kilala na talaga namin ang isa't isa.

Sis, be careful not to be too overprotective, to the point na masakal na si bf mo. Ikaw na din nagsabi na it was all in the past now. Then let it stay in the past. Sabi mo sa ^ that you hate seeing him close with other girls. I think you just need to tell bf "sweetly" that him being close to other girls make you uncomfortable. and hindi naman maiwasan na magkaron sya other friends na girls, so maybe make an effort na lang to get to know his friends - sama ka minsan pag me lakad sila outside work, or magpakwemto ka kay bf about them, etc.

and it's normal that guys sometimes get "naughty" when they're with other guy friends - by naughty, i mean asaran, kulitan, tuksuhan, etc.. But if it's all talk, then don't bother yourself with those things. Let them be boys. :)

Just let it go. I know it's hard to do it but one way to do is to shift your attention/focus sa mga ibang bagay.

Trust me, there are secrets that you don't want to know anymore. Mas masaya minsan pag wala kang alam and huwag mo nang alamin. Personally, I don't like guys who admit about their cheating to their girlfriends. Sasabihin nila sayo they felt guilty not telling you the truth and they love and respect you. For me, that's all BS, kasi if they really love and respect you, they wouldn't be cheating in the first place. Pag umamin sila and they say it's for you, I don't think so.

Sabi ng mama ko, boys would always be boys. Maliligaw minsan ng path pero at the end of the day, he will always come back to you if he really loves you. Pero siempre I'm not here to tolerate them :p Basta sis, let go na. Kakapagod yan at pang pasira ng beauty mo  ;)

I agree. Sabi nga nila, what you don't know won't hurt you. Pero so far naman, honest si boyfriend and open siya sa work niya. Everyday, nagkkwento siya sa mga nangyayari. Parang it's been a routine na din for us to share yun nangyayari sa amin. He's been my best friend for the past six years so ok na din. Siguro it's more of my insecurities lang towards other girls and yun fear ko to lose him.

Since we're doing good naman, I'll continue to try my best not to worry about such things. So true na nakaka-stress lang. I'll try to be like him na may trust sa akin. :)

^ Thank you so much girls! Haha! Super approachable/funny guy kasi si boyfriend kaya hindi mahirap pakisamahan, plus sobrang vain din niya (mas vain pa sa akin!) so I think part na din yun. Though I don't consider this as a problem talaga for us, pero napaguusapan namin. Considering na he's turning 3 months pa lang siya sa work niya ngayon.

I think what makes us "OK" now is yun pagiging open niya tulad sa mga bagay na yan. I just hope na mag-continue na kami ng ganto. :) Para stress-free na din ako. :)
