How much is your pedia's vaccine?

Share ko lang kasi last week naka sched kami for vaccine ni baby pero since medyo pricey yung sa pedia nya, nag search ako ng mas affordable na option within our vicinity. nadiscover ko yung Jacob's Ladder immunization center. (if you're from South, pwede nyo din i try). Ang laki din ng price difference. Pedia din yung nag tuturok kaya may kasamang check up narin. and mabusisi talaga yung pedia, and almost 30 minutes ata ang usapan namin (unliike dun sa dating pedia ng baby ko na madalas measurement lang ang ginagawa.)

from 5000 na prevenar 13, binayaran namin was 4200. sayang din yung 800 na tipid. malaki din yung price difference ng ibang vaccines nila. Even yung pangpabutas ng ears. sa kanila 200 lang may kasama ng hikaw. sa pedia ko eh 1000. heheh!

Question pala sa mga mommies, need ko pa ba sabihin sa pedia ko na sa iba na kami magpapaturok> pero ang gusto ko kasi yung pedia ko is sya parin. babalik parin kami sa kanya for regular check up siguro pero yung pagdating sa vaccine eh sa iba nalang muna. sayang talaga kasi yung matitipid.

Thank you for sharing this info. Kakatawag ko lang sa Jacob's and nagpa-reserve na ako ng 6-in-1 vaccine. Sa pedia ko it's 3K..sa kanila 2400 lang.. 600 pesos savings din yun

With my pedia, ok lang sa kanya na sa iba kami magpa-vaccine. She just gave us a note kung ano ang kelangang vaccine ni baby as reference dun sa doctor na magtuturok ng vaccine. Siguro be open with your pedia - let her know na you're just being practical like all other mommies.

nung una naloka kami sa mga price ng bakuna fortunately i've passed first 6 mos na masyadong madugo yung iinvest kaya buti nalang my nagsabi sakin na mghanap ng health center sa area namin (im from taguig city) kasi merong mga bakuna na libre and meron ding pedia doc doon na di hamak na mas mura sa private yung price take a look sa difference ng price

pero syempre pg ngkakasipon, ubo, check up yung baby ko dun ako pumupunta sa private pedia niya 250 lang naman ang doctors fee ni Dra Apelo

If you have a good health center, then best to get all the free vaccines from them (one of our local officials is a doctor, thus health is a priority in the City). It will save you anywhere from 15K-20K at the least.

Actually such projects are even supported by USAID (I have an aunt who works for them, specifically in the Health Division), thus personnel training and vaccine authenticity can definitely be trusted.

My one and a half month old got her BCG, 5 in 1 + polio at no cost other than donation. The second dose of 5 in 1+ polio is set mid-March.

The HC that covers our area is undoubtedly one of the best. It can even administer lab test.

rotateq - 3k+ (medical center paranaque)
pcv13 - 4200 (jacobs ladder, las pinas)
5in1 third dose - 2k (jacobs ladder, las pinas)

ngayon ang problema ko, walang rotateq sa jacobs ladder, babalik na naman ulit kami sa dating pedia na ginto ang presyo (yung pcv nga sakanya 6,300 kaya naghanap kami talaga ng mura). sino po may pedia dito sa sucat na medyo mura yung rotateq? salamat!

my son had hepa vaccine, bcg, opv for free. next niya na ang 5 in 1 na yan.

I have a friend na nagreresident na sya as Pedia, sa kanya ko nalaman na mura lang pala ang mga vaccines. Imagine, ang rotateq is only Php1,380.00 from her supplier. Binigay nya rin kasi sakin mismo yung receipt, ako na lang nagdagdag ng bayad kasi hinatid nya pa mismo sa bahay.  At first nga ayaw nyang tanggapin yung extra payment ko kasi on the way naman daw ang bahay namin pero nahiya naman ako saka syempre need nya rin ang money, e sa pedia ko 3,500 ang rotateq.

Now problem ko is pano sasabihin ki pedia na hindi ako sa kanya magpapavaccine, e minsan nagfofollow up pa sa akin yung secretary nya na due for vaccine na daw si baby. Saka tagal ko na rin syang pedia sa panganay ko kaya kahit papano parang may attachment na rin kami. :-(

ako sis raine20 nireplyan ko yung text ng secretary ni pedia reminding us about the scheduled appointment for vaccine na cancel na lang yung appointment because it's beyond our budget and we'll look for a more affordable option. hindi na nagreply so in-assume ko na naintindihan naman nila. sinabi ko text na lang ako ulit kung kailan yung follow up check up ng anak ko (which is around April pa naman).

^ parang nahihiya kasi ako sis nixmusic kasi nung nagkaproblem baby ko sa mata, nakamonitor din naman sya kahit sa text at kung ano yung nangyari sa pedia optha. Baka mamya hindi na same care pag hindi sa kanya nagpavaccine?

^nahiya din ako nung nireplyan ko yung secretary ng pedia kaso we have to be practical. magastos din kasi my son is having therapy kaya we need to take advantage of the ways kung saan mas makakatipid kaysa naman macompromise yung ibang needs ng anak namin.

Okay lang kaya sa mga pedia if kami ang magpprovide ng vaccine then PF na lang ang babayaran namin sa kanya if check up and ipapa inject na kay baby? my hubby kasi has contacts na may makukuhaan ng murang vaccine so sayang naman din yon..
