^ sis, my baby didn't wear mittens since she was born...we only put mittens on her maybe 5 times and that didn't the whole day and we already cut her nails twice in her first month...she also never scratched her face so we are very lucky...you can definitely remove your baby's mittens already but just watch out if baby scratches his/her face...baby will learn fast not to do it like mine

also, it's good for baby's development not to wear mittens all the time so they practice grasping 😊

^^ do you clean the stump with cotton with alcohol? On the stump itself and around the navel area? It should be done 3x a day sis ah.

update ko lang, dapat papacheckup ko na iyong baby ko ng tuesday kasi di pa natatanggal iyong cord stump nya he is 3wks and 3days na, but because of heavy rain di kami natuloy, then when i was about to change his diaper ng gabi nakita ko tanggal na
so happy... malinis na din pusod nya wala ng blood ng natanggal
3x a day din ako naglilinis ng pusod minsan more than pa baka matagal lang talaga natanggal iyong sa baby ko

Hi sisses. Ask ko lang po ano kaya magandang disposable diaper for newborn? Balak ko muna kasi magdisposable before ako magcloth diaper kapag medyo malaki na si baby. Thanks po.

sis eeatrice, baka kaya matagal bago natanggal ang pusod ng lo mo is because lagi mong nililinis ng alcohol. i'll just share yung nabasa ko sa baby center...

"Don't use alcohol to clean the stump. The American Academy of Pediatrics used to recommend cleaning the base of the stump daily with a cotton swab dipped in rubbing alcohol. But researchers have found that untreated cords heal faster than alcohol-swabbed cords and carry no more risk of infection, so the AAP has changed their recommendation."

for my lo, one week pa lang natanggal na pusod niya. although hindi ko talaga to sinunod, i used to clean lo's pusod, once a day lang and mabilis na swipe lang ng cotton with alcohol. i didnt use bigkis also.
