Anyway got back from our 5 days 4 nights El Nido trip last May 6. We went there from May 2 - 6 via Puerto Prinsesa. Please see breakdown of expenses per person. I actually brought 10,000 pesos as allowance since atms are not available in el nido. Just in case I maybe spending more than I expected
1) 3,000 - 4 nights accomodation at Telesfora Resort Cottages in Corong Corong. This is the standard room. Rate per night is 1,500 with free breakfast for two people. I am not sure about the fee for extra person but I think it is 300-500. The room can accomodate a maximum of 3 people. Corong Corong is very nice and quiet. Not the usual resorts or inns in the town area that are next to each other. They have a wonderful sunset view
The resort itself is simple. Only 9 rooms in total. Rooms are made partly of cement and mostly cottages composition. Medyo magkakarinigan lang kayo kapag nag uusap or mag iingay gawa nang hindi siya cemento lahat but hindi naman siya naging hadlang sa amin since pagod kami lagi sa tours. Don't expect too much with your free breakfast. It consists of 2 slices of wheat bread, 1 egg of your choice on how it is cooked, 1 small portion of butter and 1 small portion of jam. I suggest you bring additional food since that's what we did to have full energy for the tours.
2) 4,250 - Transportation and Tours from Northern Hope Tours. Breakdown of the 4,250 are as follows:
1,200 - Round trip van from PPS - EN - PPS via Eulen Joy
1,200 - Tour A with lunch
1, 400 - Tour C with lunch
600 - Nacpan and Calitang Beach Tour without lunch
250 - Taraw Cliff Climbing
200 Environmental Fee good for 10 days
600 - Discount given by Northern Hope
3) 300 to 500 - Lunch at Nacpan and Calitang Beach. The tour did not have lunch included so it will additional cost for you. Lunch itself is around 200 - 300 but if you are really hungry then you will be spending more.
4) 500 - For tricycle fares, tips to our guides and tricycle driver, snacks if we get hungry after the tours in the afternoon and sa kung ano pa makita na gusto bilhin
5) 1,000 - Dinner for 4 nights and others. We only had our "dinner-out" twice since we were too full or tired to go back to town just to eat. We only ate once in the town area and I paid around 200 - 300 for my meal and drink. Then I paid around 250 for my dinner on our last night in Telesfora. We asked the staff to cooked for us since we don't want to go to the town anymore. If you want to do this let them know in advance. A day before since they will buy the food in the market in the morning. We had shrimps and crabs. It was so good
Overall, it was a great vacation and experience in El Nido. Looking forward to go back next summer
