@ kasheica sana nga negative ang test for diabetic sakin but yun nga malaki pa din possibility kasi may lahi kami diabetic :(
I will get the result ng FBS maybe on Monday or Tuesday na lang para isabay sa Hba1c test kasi 2-3days daw yun result.. Pray for me ang hirap ng diabetic tapos preggy pa..

yes, prayers move mountains..pray hard but if positive talaga, don't worry too much...Am diabetic prior to pregnancy..with proper management from doctors you will overcome the challenges...Am 16 weeks now..mahirap sa simula yun adjustments..diet, insulin and dealing w/ hypoglycemia/hyperglycemia but we have to sacrifice for our baby's sake..

Much better if you use betadine compared to gentle soap since it's also a protection from infections, yun ang ginamit ko back when i was preggy. I had vaginal infection and spotting too, due to my cervical polyp and I had subchorionic hemorrhage.

Praying for you sis! How big is baby now? Did you have BPP to check if s/he has breathing pattern already? I gave birth to my son 36weeks 2days. He's an IUGR baby + a Congenital Rubella Syndrome baby. Ang liit nya sobra, but he was able to breathe on his own, no O2 needed. Also had good sucking motion so no NGTube inserted.

Also stayed 9days in the hospital before he was born sis.

so far, so good...smooth pregnancy at 4 months...didn't experience morning sickness/nausea/vomiting..no spotting or bleeding..no UTI..eh am prone  to it kasi diabetic nga ako...am really thankful to God..sana magtuloy tuloy till I gave birth..kasi paranoid ako lalo dahil nga sa sakit ko.

At first, I was afraid of insulin esp on my 1st day..but I realized that you have to let go of your fears..psychological lang pala ang sakit..pag-iisipin mo lalo ka matatakot..I overcome the fear of pricking my fingers now..dati urong-sulong pa ang ginagawa ko :)....you will get immune to it ;D

GDM (Gestational Diabetes) ang tawag dito sis..tuwing pregnant lang..so lucky pa rin if GDM kasi after yougive birth..normal na uli blood sugar if healthy diet ka pa rin kasi if me GDM, it will lead to diabetes later on..so at least, maging signal na ito to live a healthy lifestyle

Im on my 35th wk of pregnancy and here are some of the things I have had since:

1st trimester

- my entire first tri was tough, 8 wks na ako nung nalaman namin ni hubby that i'm preggy. From 131lbs to 128lbs in less than a month and last month pa ng first tri ko, I was working in a call center pa as a trainee pa lang. Pain on my right behind( parang may naipit na ugat), since panay panggabi si hubby sa work noon, commute ako everyday  and 10mins walk papunta sa work--- talaga naman ang sakit! All foods na maamoy ko or makita ko I don't like it!, nasusuka ako. Yung mga sinabi ni OB na need ko increase ng intake like fish-- i never had it sa sobrang nasusuka ako..

2nd tri

- first month of second tri, still losing weight, form my 128lbs to 126lbs. For 2 months ganun pa din walang gana kumain, pero i'm not losing weight na ganun kabilis since I started drinking anmum and supplements. n my last month, dun na medyo gumana kumain pero hindi masyado makakain pa din since wala lagi si hubby sa bahay at mga cravings ko talaga namang sa labas-- palabok(red ribbon), blueberry pancake( pancake house), etc. Still cannot eat fish though.

on my 26th wk, spotting-- as per reliever ni OB, advised to take duvadilan for a week then bedrest with BR priviliges.mthennnung kay OB na,  bed rest and duvadilan for 2 weeks dahil matigas.

3rd tri

-28 wk still on bedrest and duvadilan.
- 31wk 5d had bloody show ( size of a peso coin lang), pagdating sa ER I was 1cm na then admitted sa LR observation. Had more bleeding while asleep that night, next morning bloody show ulit and 2cm na. Nifedipine as uterine relaxant need ko itake.

As of now, nakabed rest pa din ako although until end of 35th week, stop na din nifedipine.

This is my 2nd pregnancy and I'm on my 36th week now. I went through a lot on my 2nd time compared to my first which was a breeze.

1. On my first tri (12th week), I had shingles. Had to take acyclovir for a week. The blisters were on my back. Now, they're gone but left unsightly big marks on my back. :(

2. On my 2nd tri, I had fixed drug eruption naman. I had dark spots on my neck that started with reddish spots then eventually became dark brown. It was on the left side of my neck and was getting bigger and bigger. My derma said I was allergic to one of my prenatal vitamins so I had to stop taking them and observe. I did and lo and behold, the dark spots slowly lightened and faded away. Very good. I just had to eat healthy and balanced meal from then on since I wasn't taking any supplemental vitamins until now.

3. I thought I will be spared during my last trimester but I thought wrong. I have now what they call PUPPS. I developed these itchy rashes all over my body. Started with the sides of my tummy, both sides, then they spread through my arms and inner legs and now most of them are on my back. I also have lots on my neck and batok. Very, very, very itchy!!! It's very, very irritating especially at night when I go to sleep. I wake up feeling very itchy all over. My derma prescribed an emollient cream for the itchiness and dryness. It helps a little but what I observe is whenever I feel hot, it aggravates. Ang hirap hirap. What keeps me sane is by thinking that I will only have to suffer a few more weeks since upon delivery, these rashes will go away on their own, according to both my ob and derma yan. Kaya I have high hopes. Kase more or less I have 3 or 4 weeks na lang.

All these problems are all so worth it. Anything for my baby. I just hope and pray I will have a safe and normal delivery soon. I can't wait to see my 2nd bundle of joy!

To all moms suffering during their pregnancy like me, just think that these are all very worth it. We are all lucky that we are able to conceive and deliver a baby into this world. We are still so lucky after all!

Good luck and God bless to all of us infanticipating moms! :)

I have diabetes and taking insulin is the best way talaga kasi mas controlled na ang sugar ko. Wala na din akong worries sa baby. I wish everyone the best.

Sis, I also have diabetes prior to pregnancy and metformin was my maintenance. I only shifted to insulin when my pregnancy was confirmed at 5weeks. Are you on insulin pre-pregnancy?..At first, I was bit worried cause OB and Endo have different opinions on metformin...eh tumigil lang sa metformin noong 5 weeks na ako..since I've read that there are those women who continue taking it until 12 weeks...so, nabawasan din worries ko..But I followed my old Endo advise that insulin is the best therapy during pregnancy..

Ay naku sis, you are absolutely right. hirap na hirap ako sa pupps na yan kase until now it's spreading.  Buong back ko na ata meron pati breasts ko. walang problem kapag nasa office ako or sa bahay may aircon malamig pero when i'm outside the house at mainit grabe ang tindi ng kati! grabe na talaga ang marks nya. i'm really hoping mawala lahat pagkaanak ko or earlier sana. same tayo sis i'm on my 37th week na rin. konting tiis na lang! Goodluck satin. :)

I really don't know which position will be better para marelax ako feeling ko kase pag naka side ako na may tumutusok feeling ko talaga paa ni baby ko. One more thing is super hirap ako huminga feeling ko hinihimatay ako. How i wish mawala na agad toh!  :o

Before this pregnancy, I stopped taking metformin and I just controlled my sugar through diet, exercise and taking herbs. When I found out that I am pregnant, I went to my Endo and they let me have insulin.

I plan to taking insulin even after giving birth kasi mas less ang side effects na nararamdaman ko.

How's your blood sugar sis? controlled na ba?

@Cheesecak3

Sis, for the past 1 year my FBS was below 100 every lab check-up...I only bought glucometer on my 6th week of pregnancy, so far my daily FBS is below 92 till now that am on my 19th week.

My HBa1C in Feb was 6.7 and in June 6.2 (4.5-6.3) range ng hospital..so pasok nman sa range yun  result ko during conception pa lang kasi LMP ko ay April 23 then end of May ako start ng insulin...as per Endo, it will lower down pa daw kasi am on insulin na....

Target is less than 120  (2-hour post prandial) but sometimes it would reach 140-160 if nasobrahan sa carbo...ang problema ko naman ay hypoglycemia if increase ang dosage....8/5 units am/pm now..pero nagsimula ako sa 10/8 kaso need to eat every 2 hours or else hypo na ako and as early as 5 am eh gutom na gutom na ako..lalo na noon 1st tri, madalas natutulog at hirap bumangon kaya ayun bigla experience ko rin 63 ang reading kaya tense na tense ako noon...

Sis, sabi ni OB, best position daw for the baby is for the mommy to sleep on the left side.  Kasi pag naka flat on your back or on the right side, may naiipit na malaking ugat, so restricted yung blood flow na nakakarating kay baby.

Nakakangawit nga lang, so okay lang change position basta babalik ka pa din sa left side after a while
