To hold on or to let go
« on: May 06, 2013, 11:10:42 pm »
male here. sorry to infiltrate your community but i prefer my query to be answered by girls.
everytime my fiancee and i have an argument either big or not so big, she always threatens me by giving back the engagement ring i gave her. yes we are engaged. it happened twice or thrice that i beg her to hold on to that ring even physically restraining her hands from removing the ring from her finger.
one time we were having a small argument regarding the final date of the wedding. we already had an agreement but now she change her mind saying this and that. now i offer her other possible dates but she change her mind again and now choose the original proposed date which i know now deep inside she dont like it. i was so mad but calm that i didnt say a word after that. hinatid ko siya sa house niya but then she gave the engagement ring back to me. i tried to give ut back but she forcefulky out it in my bag. this time i just let her put it in my bag then i left.  she called me after a while saying she wants to return my stuffs. after that i didnt bother answering her calls and replaying to her sms.
im good man, i love her very much. but i believe i dont deserve to be treated this way. now i feel like we already broke up.
what do think girls, does she really love me? does her treatment to me justifiable enough on a basis that she is a girl (naturally changeable minds with regular mood swings)

You both need space...maybe because of the pressure/stress in wedding prep both of you collide and burst even in a silent treatment. Mas mahirap pa nga yun ganyan, wala kayo idea at all. Just give her space to think, tama lang naman yun ginawa mo sa tingin ko not answering her calls and text for you to avoid the heat of arguments. Lilipas din yan for sure...give her a week or two. Mahimasmasan din yan at maka pag isip, and if hindi pa din...try to reach out and talk ano ba talaga reason behind that conflict. "Maybe" meron pa iba dahilan hindi lang yan about sa wedding prep. I suggest give your 101% patience...if puso bato pa din sya then it's time for you to let go...well at least di man natuloy ang kasal abswelto ka sa gastos sa kasal and gastos sa annulment. hehe Joke! Cheer up! I hope it helps.

IMO, she has big doubts about marrying you.

So, keep your peace.  Step back, and if she does not ask for that ring back -- that.s that.
Do not force yourself on someone, you deserve better.
Remember: Love cannot be forced.

You dont deserve to be treated that way. Give yourself a break, if she really loves you babalikan ka nya.

Ahm I know not every woman is like this but I think sometimes woman just has a tendency to act like that. What I mean like "that" is yung mga walk out moment ni gf, gusto ipa-stop yung car out of no where during the argument, tapos yung kagaya nung sayo na ibabalik yung engagement ring. As a woman, I interpret those actions due to the heat of the moment lang but not really mean to end everything. Minsan gusto lang namin ng assurance kasi we are feeling anxious about the relationship we have. Iba kami sa guys na pag gusto ng tapusin yung relationship and nag walk out na, tapos na talaga. Baka siguro nga stress lang yan due to a lot of wedding preparations. Give her time and space to think. Be patient. I think you should focus your thought and feeling more on the positive side. You chose to be with her. You chose her as your future wife so there must be a lot of reasons also to hold onto the relationship rather than focusing your thought if you deserve all of negative treatments from her. Sana mafigure out niyo to  :)

Maybe she's just a basket case right now, or a bad case of nerves. Why don't the two of you talk it out? Maybe you both should give yourselves a rest muna. If the love is really there, it won't go away in a month or two (or even 6).If she doesn't really want to marry you, that time naman siguro you will find out for yourself if it's really worth going through this wedding Don't feel pressured about a "set date".
Think about this-it's simpler to not push through (if this is the case) rather than spend time and money over an anullment. I've been through it (anullment) and it's not a walk in the clouds.

Another question could be, how long should you wait? What if in good terms kayo after the break up? When do you know if it's time to move on?
