Dating 2 guys, is this wrong?
« on: May 04, 2013, 05:29:39 pm »
Is it okay to date like 2 guys at the same time? Given that you're not committed to either of them naman?

I know it's supposed to be okay (and I've done this before too) but why do I feel guilty about dating 2 guys now? The first one is an ex who says he wants to get back together and fix things and the second one naman is an old friend who became really close to me after my ex and I broke up "for good" last february. The thing with guy #2 is he's not committal talaga, but we have fun naman when we're together and it's less stressful. We go out when it's convenient and there was never any kind of formal "talk" na we like each other. I like him, yes. Pero I still love my ex (but he's weird and parang hindi niya kasi alam un gusto niya, pabago-bago siya ng isip kung nakikipagbalikan ba siya or hindi).

Why do I feel like I can't keep on dating them both?

probably from our Catholic upbringing.

Its not uncommon to see people going on multiple dates, some even go to bed with all his/her dates for whatever reasons.

there are those too who do not believe in multiple dating.

so there, maybe its the Catholic upbringing ng Pinas,

or maybe your inner self wants to you to decide na.

If it is just dating, then there's no wrong in that! You're just keeping your options open, before you jump right into a relationship.

Siguro sis baka  naman pag magkasama kayo ng either of the two guys e pang 'bf/gf' ang nangyayari...hindi lang sex ah, but yung simpleng holding hands? hug? --- kasi kung date date lang,
hindi ka naman makikipag hug/kiss diba. Tamang kwentuhan at flirt flirt lang. hehe.

Maybe that's why you feel guilty?

Ay, well oonga. Baka nga kasi our actions are like bf-gf (the holding hands etc.). My problem is, paano ka pipili if hindi naman sila parehong nagtatanong?

Dating 2 guys, is this wrong? NO!
technically you're still single, so walang masama kung makipag-date ka sa iba't ibang guys. wala din masama kung bf-gf yung actions mo with them. and holding hands, kissing, etc are all part of dating. same goes with guys, pwede naman sila manligaw or makipag date sa kahit kaninong babae nila gusto. mga moralista lang yung magrereact negatively, but who cares? at the end of the day, alam mo naman sa sarili mo that you're not doing anything wrong. make sure mo lang na single ka and single mga dinadate mo... well, meron nga may committed na nakikipag date pa rin e  ;D

kung dating palang naman, ayos lang but be careful nalang sa mga matang madla dahil let's say may kakilala ka na nakakita sayo na iba iba ang kasama mo, of course di maganda ang dating ng image mo. And also, walang masama po sa dating as long as na NO KISS & TOUCH dahil di pa kayo bf/gf.

naalala ko ang advice ng isang dating guru in US, sabi nya just keep on dating and be honest kung anong klaseng relationship ang gusto natin until mahanap yung tamang partner. if you want a serious relationship, tell the person, usually malalaman naman kung seryoso sila or hindi through their actions. At kahit gusto daw natin sila, pero kung di naman willing to commit, be ready to forget and move on. Let them prove their worth before you commit yourself to them. And once may napatunayan, dun ka lang daw magstop makipagdate sa iba.

By doing this, maiiwasan daw ang pagiging praning kakaisip kung gusto ba nila tayo o hindi. Bec. when you exert all of your time and effort to one person, sa kanya lang iikot ang mundo mo and things will get messy kasi dadami ang expectations, then magiging clingy and needy ka. pero kung marami ka kadate, nakakalimutan mo sila even their names haha! for me, this is similar with shopping/canvassing for the perfect dress, shoes, bags, etc. pero may point naman, kesa matali tayo sa wrong partner diba. medyo nakakapagod nga lang makipagdate lalo na kung puro palpak hehe

Lamang si ex without a doubt. The other guy, i think masaya lang siya kasi walng expectations so whenever he does something sweet, parang natutuwa ako. Pero future wise, milya milya ang lamang ni ex.

^ I was about to say na feeling ko lamang si ex! hahaha!

Why do I feel like you can't keep on dating them both?
Maybe because you know na lamang si ex and medyo unfair yung kay 2nd guy OR baka dahil you didn't tell them you're dating other guys aside from them and you know na mahuhurt sila when you tell them?

To cut it short, you care for the two guys and you don't want them to be hurt.

hanap ka ng third guy to date and date others. kaya siguro you don't feel like you can keep dating both is because none of them are treating you any better, inconsistent the ex and the rebound friend is non-committal- that's reason enough not to hang around much longer. yeah it's fun to have someone to hang around, and it's easy to be nice to someone you aren't committed to and do things. but if you feel like you're short changing yourself and desire mo is to be in a relationship might as well look for someone who has more crediblity in that arena. dating others din can help you figure out who you want to be with and what you want out of a relationship.

Kasi napagod daw siya dati. HAHA, ewan ko din sa kanya. Suffice to say, wala namang 3rd party. And it wasn't a bad break-up.

in my opinion, it's actually no big deal as long as you are still in the dating stage. it depends on your agreement. ;)

There's nothing wrong with dating 2 guys. As long as each one of you is not committed and the guys know na you're not dating them exclusively.

Maybe kaya ka nagi-guilty is because bf-gf stage kayo in dating, and the other guy might not know na you're not dating only him. It's also possible na your subconscious wants you to choose na.

I'm not a relationship guru, but if the situation makes you feel too uncomfortable na, it's better to either choose or just settle things by stop dating both guys (expand your horizon and look for others maybe?). And don't limit by choosing which of them you love more, or which of them can better provide for the future. I think it's important to take note of compatibility din (for long-term relationship) and with whom you can still grow as an individual :)

Nothing wrong with dating 2 or more guys. As you said, , you committed to no one.

Why choose? As you said, wala naman nagtatanong.
Just enjoy life.

Nothing's wrong with dating multiple guys. Dapat nga ganun. "Dating" ha, hindi in a relationship.

nothing wrong just as long as they are aware that you are dating around. I mean kahit 20 guys pa yan,
as long as those 20 guys know  that you are getting to know 19 other men. But what i have learned from the art of dating  is that you always always have that favorite one lol.
