after a year of preparation ang bilis, tapos na nga wedding namin. it wasn't perfect, but it was a happy and memorable day for us.i could not ask for more.
i'll share with you my suppliers' ratings since halos lahat are pampanga based. if there are not so good comments, we don't intend na manira or whatsoever. these are just what we had experienced and also of our guests.
medyo mahaba ito mga sis, so bear with me...
Church: Parish of The Blessed Trinity
Pilar Village, San Isidro, CSFP
Rating: 9
We had no problem dealing with the staff of Blessed Trinity. Ma’am Emmy was really kind and very accommodating. Sobrang smooth ang naging transactions namin with them. Super bonus pa na ang bait ng officiating priest namin, si Fr. Dines.
The only problem we had was on the day itself, sobrang init sa loob ng church. It was air conditioned pero di ko talaga naramdaman. Ang tagal naming nakaluhod ni hubby sa ceremony and tumutulo talaga pawis ko sa ilong, sa baba at ramdam ko butil butil pawis ko sa buong mukha! Ganun din si hubby na mas pawisin pa sa akin. Buti nalang nakaramdam ang sister ko, who was our MOH, and inabutan kami ng pamaypay and tissue.
Caterer: ADM Asuncion de Grande
Rating: 6
Totoo nga sinabi ng mga sisses natin dito na di ka na talaga makakakain on your wedding day. Buti I had heavy lunch, and sa tension na rin siguro di ko na talaga nakain yung food na sinerve sa amin before the program started. So di ko talaga alam kung ano lasa ng food.
The day after dun namin nalaman ni hubby comments ng mga guests namin. One friend commented that everything was great except the food. Some didn’t even finish what they had on their plates. My brothers said wala daw lasa yung carbonara at all! Our guests na from zambales pa asked hubby bakit ganun daw yung food?
Husband and I were so disappointed because when we had our food tasting everything tasted good. Too sad we received these kinds of comments. Well, sabi naman ng youngest brother ko okay naman daw.
Cake: Breads O’ Cakes (cared of by ADM)
Rating: 7
We specifically told them that we want an all edible cake. That’s why we ordered cupcakes instead of 3 layer cake na ang edible lang is one layer. We requested one cake at the top of the tower and one cake at the bottom for the cake slicing. And the design of the cakes is old map.
When we arrived at the reception I saw a two-layer cake on top of the tower. And we only found out that the top layer cake was a styro when we got home to my parent’s house the next day.
So I texted Ms Ana,the owner, to clarify bakit di nasunod gusto namin. And I told them the cake was too expensive. She said, yes P60/cupcakes and 2,500 yung two layered cake. And di daw kami nagkaintindihan nung secretary niya, sinabi ko naman that if they have questions or clarifications they can contact us. She asked me how much did I pay ADM for the cake. And I told her ADM charged us 12,500 plus 300 for delivery. She said ADM paid them only 11,600 na dapat pa nga e 11,800. nagnegosyo daw ADM, di naman daw sila papayag na walang kikitain. When in fact ADM told us na wala na silang kita for the cake. I told her the only reason kung bakit pinadaan namin sa ADM ang transaction for the cake is para wala ng hassle sa payment and sa delivery. Kung alam lang namin na gagawin ng ADM yun, sana we paid Breads O’ Cakes nalang directly. sana man lang naisip muna nilang ideliver yung gusto namin for our cake. We can pay them extra naman if we have to.Breads O’ Cakes offered us a 6 inches cake for free, pero di na kami interested sa cake, it’s about what ADM did to us. I just told Ms Ana to let ADM know how disappointed we are.
Venue: Woodgrove Park Clubhouse
Del Carmen CSFP

Wala ring problema dealing with them. Medyo maliit nga lang yung ballroom para sa mga invited guests namin. Ayaw kasi namin ni hubby na merong guests na mapupunta sa labas kaya sabi namin baka puede ipagkasya lahat sa loob ng ballroom. Pero okay naman, nagkasya naman. Sabi lang ng mom ko medyo mahina lang daw A/C nila.
Hotel for Preparation: Hotel Gracelane
San Agustin, CSFP
Rating: 10
No problem at all sa hotel. Maluwag sila kahit sa pagpasok ng food. We only paid a small amount para sa corkage. I liked Gracelane na even before nagoccular kami. Gusto ko kasi talaga may garden para sa photo and video. Plus affordable mga room rates nila.
Florist/Stylist: Bridal Blooms – Flower Arrangements
Rating: 10+++
Sobrang walang hassle kausap si Boiet, very kind and accommodating. Sila lahat from bouquets, to church and reception. Ang ganda ng aisle sa church, talagang ginawa nila peg ko, asters lang and white tule.sa reception we requested for minimal flowers lang but more sa details. Pati stage and backdrop ang ganda. And di ako nakakita ng kurtina sa decors na talagang sinabi ko kay Boiet na ayaw ko!hehe.And nasunod talaga. And kahit di equadorian roses bouquet ko I looove it sobra!

HMUA: Ms Nini Marquez

Grabe! Love na love ko talaga si Ms Nini. Ang bait and walang ka-ere ere. Bubuhatin ko na sarili kong bangko, ang ganda ko talaga nung wedding day ko! Pati second look ko nagustuhan ko talaga. Very OC siya and maalaga. Super highly recommended talaga si Ms Nini.

Sabi ko sa kanila di ako photogenic pero when I had a glimpse ng ibang shots ni Ms April, sabi ko “ako ba yun?” hehe…excited na talaga ko sa mga photos kasi alam ko kung gano kagaganda mga gawa nila sa mga naging weddings nila. Ang bait nilang magasawa and their team. When we had our meeting sabi nila mga 4 hours before the bride leaves for the church sila darating, which was supposedly 10:30 am. Pero wala pa yatang 9am nasa hotel na sila. Nung una nahihiya talaga ko magposing posing, pero si Ms. April mismo magmomotivate sayo. Kaya ayun bandang huli parang ayoko na tumigil sa kakapose! Kahit soooobrang init! Sabi nga nila mas okay na ganun ang weather kesa umuulan! Hehe..Tiis Ganda!
And kahit nakikita ko nang pagod na sila, go parin and all smile. Sobrang magaan sila to work with. Wala ring kaere-ere.

Ang ganda ng SDE namin! Marami from our guests na hindi pa familiar sa ganun kaya tuwang tuwa sila. Bitin daw! E talaga naman maikli lang yun, hehe. All I can say is ang galing ng team nila. And magaan sila katrabaho. Discounted pa package na nakuha namin sa kanila kasi last year din yun sa bridal fair kaya sobrang sulit.
Emcee: Dexter “Red” Nicolau

Hindi dapat si Red ang host namin, I posted sa other thread what happened, pero blessing si Red for us. Sabi ng dad ko ang galing daw niya, no dull moments, and I agree. Very professional and yung interaction niya with our guests was really good! May command siya but not dominating, and yung humor niya was just right for everybody.
Bridal Gown: Joey Feliciano

I SO LOVE MY GOWN! Simplicity at its best! Everybody liked it, ang ganda daw. And ang bilis lang natapos. 2 months nalang before the wedding ng sukatan ulit ako ni Joey. Last year kasi sobra akong nag-gain ng weight kaya sabi niya pagdating ko nalang ulit. In less than a month nakapag-fitting na ko. He also made the gown of my mom.
Groom’s Suit: MK Gali (168 Mall)

Sobrang stress ang inabot namin sa kanila. For two months hindi nila nadeliver ng complete ang suit ni hubby until we decided na ibalik nalang sa kanila yung gawa nila and irefund money namin. Grabe ang dami ring pamasahe nagastos namin sa pabalik balik sa boutique nila sa divisoria. Buti nung nagdecide kami may two weeks pa before the wedding and nakagawa kami ng paraan, well 1 week nalang pala kasi holy week na yun.
Gardini Fashion Center
Rate: 10
Sila ang tumulong sa min sa major major problem namin with MK Gali. Palm Sunday ng pumunta kami sa shop nila sa Visayas Ave. We asked them if they can make a suit para kay hubby. But they were very honest to say NO, because holy week na and nakabakasyon mga mananahi nila. We had no choice but to rent. Good thing nagustuhan ni hubby yung suit nila and bumagay sa kanya. Maayos sila kausap and honest unlike MK Gali (di talaga makaget over?,hehe)
Father-in-Law Suit, Mother-In-Law Gown and Male Entourage Suits: Sharon’s House of Gowns

No problem dealing with them. Yun lang wala silang available na gray vest. Kaya suits nalang kinuha namin sa kanila. Okay lahat ng fit sa mga male ento namin. I gave them 9 kasi yung kay Father-in-law di niya nagustuhan yung fit ng pants niya. Buti marunong siya manahi.
Lights and Sounds: LP Lopez Entertainment

Wala ring problem sa transaction namin with LP. We booked them last year sa wedding fair sa Marquee Mall. I gave them 8 because I didn’t see anything special sa set up nila. Wala lang ‘wow effect’ for me, sa akin lang naman.
Band: Midnight Train
Rating: 10
They are not a full band, sequencer yata tawag dun (I dunno if this is the right term/spelling). They have three members, keyboard and laptop ang gamit nila. Sobrang discounted ang talent fee na binigay nila sa amin, friend kasi ni hubby leader nila. And ang galing nila kumanta! Ang ganda ng boses! Thumbs up talaga.
Principal Sponsors Gifts: Chocolate Confections

Ang sarap ng chocolate ni Ms Maribeth (owner),siya gumagawa, too bad di ko mabibili sa tindahan, hehe. We booked her sa bridal fair sa Megamall last February. And ang dali niya kausap. Siyempre tinikman namin dun product niya, and kahit hiyang hiya ako di ko talaga napigil humingi ulit bago kami umalis. Ang sarap eh! Kaya sana nagustuhan din ng mga ninong ang ninang namin. Plus siya rin gumawa ng very nice monogram namin. Free yun!
OTD: Details Matter by Erika Del Rosario-Sadac

Since we booked Details Matter last year din sa wedding fair sa Marquee wala kaming naging problem. Sobrang helpful si Ms Erika kahit otd lang kinuha namin. We only had three meetings with her pero lahat ng yun productive. On our wedding day I didn’t have to worry about anything. After I turned over everything that were needed sa hotel, sa church and sa reception to her photo and video shoots nalang focus ko, namin ni hubby.
Until matapos na yung reception when she apologized because of one big mistake she made. During the ceremony when Fr. Dines asked us to face our guests as his introduction for us, wala ang isang pair ng ninong and ninang namin who are really close to me. Wala rin ang bible bearer na favourite pamangkin ko na super lapit lang ng bahay sa church. Wala rin ang ring bearer namin na from zambales pa. I just saw sa photos na kuha ng brother ko na ate ko pala (MOH) ang nagdala ng bible and rings/ arras.
What happened was she accidentally had a typo error sa text messages niya for the whole entourage. Instead of texting to be at the church at 2:30 in the afternoon, 3:30 pm ang nailagay niya. Buti nalang our secondary sponsors were all at the hotel kaya walang nalate sa kanila. One of them received the text and immediately told my husband. He called Ms Erika and asked if nagbago ba talaga ng time sa church, that’s were Ms Erika checked the text messages she sent and 3:30pm nga nakalagay instead na 2:30.
I felt so sad when my mom told me that my Tito and Tita got to the church na picture taking na. nahiya narin sila pumasok. My pamangkin arrived at the middle of the ceremony and ganun din ang ring bearer namin.
I understand it was unintentional, it was an accident. But the effect of that one mistake was huge…everything was almost perfect. Pero kung irerewind and you will ask me if I will still hire them, YES. Idedelete ko lang yung part na yun.
