Mga sis, do you know if may mga sewing clubs dito sa atin? I read a lot of blogs sa US and they have strong support groups there. Might be good to have it also here especially for those who are newbies to sewing like me.

Mga sisses, has anyone tried using portable sewing machine na 120V dito sa pinas? Sale kasi sa amazon parang gusto ko bumili kaya Lang sa description discourage nila gamitin pag Hindi same voltage Kahit na may converter.

^I haven't used a sewing machine na 120 V, but in my parents' house, where there are a number 110-V appliances, they had an electric outlet converted to 110 V, where they plug in anything na kailangan ng 110 V.

^sa mom ko din mayron, pero sa house ko wala. Nanghihinayang kasi ako dun sa sale, from $449 down to $139. Discouraged Lang ako na not recommended for countries that don't support 120v ac even with voltage adapter.

Finished the exams in Tesda grabe, sobrang tedious! Now am waiting for my slot. Am thinking if pupursue ko kasi medjo di ko gusto ang patternmaking. Very basic lang. But let's see. ;-)

Depends sa pacing mo. If you're really magaling 3 months kaya na but pag hindi 4.5 and more pa. M-F 8-5 PM ;-)

Hi girls! does anyone here owns singer talent 3323? How is it? I'm looking for a sewing machine na can sew canvas, denim, strechy(jersey) and soft leather kasi pero i'm not ready for industrial sewing machine e. I know how to use manual kasi meron kami sa province pero its been ages since i last used it. I'm also considering brother sana kaso plastic yung body nya diba? The pier stores naman ayaw ni hubby pumunta at bumili dun, kahit daw sya magshoulder ng additional cost ok lang so...why not diba? hehe

hello everyone, just the perfect thread i'm looking for.  I am so eager to learn basic sewing/dressmaking. I learned so much just by backreading. Full time ang work ko and I have a 2 year old son kaya medyo masikip ang schedule ko. Okay ba sa FIP, dito ko plan talaga because of good reviews na nababasa ko.

dami sa national bookstore sis... try mo sa greenbelt. Dun kasi usually merong stocks, yung ibang bookstore wala. Yung mga nakarolyo yun 80 pesos lang, yung malaki 100+ naman.

i love to learn how to saw! i have 2 girls kc and i want to make hair bows sana. mababaw lang pangarap ko, to make pillowcases, table cloth. hihi. i will research saan may tesda na malapit coz fip is too far samen plus i have 10 months old baby. matagal ko na sinasabi kay hubby na gusto ko magtahi and he's very supportive. he wants me to own a sewing machine daw but I'm shy, sabi ko pag-iipunan ko na lang. so, my goal now is to have kahit 2nd hand sw and learn kahit straight stiching before the year ends

I remember before na nag try ako kumuha ng course sa  tesda, I did all the paper requirement and interview.pasok naman ako kaso they said that next batch na me makakasali..mga after 3months and the entire course will take 4 months- mon-fri at 8-5pm..so talagang full time ang schedule nila.  I had no choise but to cancel kasi full time mom ako sa house and bf pa kami ni baby ko.  Anyway I took it upon myself to study sewing on my own..very useful yung japanese sewing books with pattern that I bought at national bookstore and now I can even make my own pattern from time to time.

Very much interested to learn how to sew. Kaso namali ata ko ng bili.. I bought the portable one, iyong P500 lang. Gamit ko siya for mending mga butas lang ng shorts and shirts. I jojned a group in FB din, lurker mode lang muna to learn from them.
