^ same here sis. nakagawa ako ng pattern for circle skirt. tapos fail yung pag-sew ko. manual sewing machine yung gamit ko, hindi yung electric. pinatahi ko nalang sa sastre namin. lol

mas madali po ba yung electric kesa manual?

Yong mga portable kaya na sewing machines being sold on ebay are worth it? Kasi they're only less than 600 pesos.

depende sayo sis... Kung pang business mo to, yung mga high-speed nalang ang bilhin mo. Huwag kang magportable kasi may limitation ang paggamit dito. Pero kung pang-hobby or mga bet mo yung light fabrics pwede na rin yung portable.

Portable hanap ko para kasi instead na hand sewn eh mas mabilis. For hobby lang sana like sewing lining, etc. For scrapbooking designs, ganun. May nakita ako sa sulit mga less than 1k. Okay ba yun. Sa mga users ng portable sewing machine, please help me po. Plan ko rin sya gamitin if magcustumize ako ng tshirt. Basta hindi for heaving sewing. For small stuff and designs lang.

hmmmm for me, better to buy a real sewing machine than those two. get the pinaka basic model na may
buttonhole, stretch stitch, back stitch, zigzag and straight. brother,singer may mga basic models (starting a 5k) or you could go sa pier in manila to look for secondhand/refurbished ones
like sa tshirts, usually ginagamit na stitch is either zigzag or stretch, plus a ballpoint needle and thread specifically for stretch fabrics dun sa pinakita mo, wala ka ng option (i used to have one, sasakit ulo mo promise)
tapos backstitch naman gamit sa start and end para hindi mag tastas.
zig zag stitch para malinis yung ends, instead na serger gamitin zigzag muna, can also be used for stretch fabrics...

Ahhhh. Thanks so much sis. Nagboboard lang kasi ako. Maliit lang room ko so I need sana yung mga sinlaki ng netbook or biggest na yung singlaki ng laptop. Wala kasi akong masyadong space. At hindi sana maingay.

I agree with fxy111. My Brother is pretty compact and takes very little space. Kasya nga sya sa clothes cabinet. As for the noise, it's not something na madaling remedyuhan because of the mechanical parts. I have yet to see a sewing machine na quiet.

^ May mga unit unit din ba yun or model number? Please recommend me a good one. For a starter. I know how to sew sa malaking sewing machine kasi tita or nanay ko meron sa province. Pero since dito akong manila, I want to craft something. Okay din ako sa second hand. Thanks in advance. Nagsearch ulit ako sa sulit eh. Kaso di naman complete yung details and I don't know what feature to look for.

I have a Bernina sewing machine, got it second hand na kasi mahal masyado ang brand new for me. I had both Singer and Brother sewing machine. Before kasi I only buy Singer Sewing machines kasi matibay nga, pero yung last na nabili kong Singer eh so dissapointing na. Its made of plastic and ang daling nagloko. Kaya I tried yung Brother brand naman. Okey naman sya kaso medyo loud. I was using my Brother for a long time hangang dumating nga etong second hand na Bernina. Once I tried Bernina eh I never switched back to my Brother sewing machine. I still have the Brother for back-up pero iba talaga ang difference, smooth na smooth ang takbo ng bernina at hindi gaano maingay.

Regarding portable sewing machines, I had the mini sewing machine before, forgot the brand, it was so dissapointing, parang pang-kids lang. So I would suggest na instead of buying yung cheap light duty na sewing machine eh save na lang ng extra money and buy a real sewing machine. It does not have to be fancy naman, you dont need 100 stitches, kahit running stitch lang eh ayos na.

That's so true. I have, what, 24 stitches? Pero yung running stitch and zigzag lang naman ang kadalasang ginagamit ko. I buttonhole by hand, and all those fancy stitches/embroidery aren't very much needed.

i have a brother bm2600 that i use as a backup and for making buttonholes. i use an industrial sewing machine and a serger most times kasi for business.

i dream of owning a bernina and a pffaf pero puro 110v lang...i saw secondhand ones in sulit lionheart2010 and try the pier din... just search for directions sa internet
