Here's my most recent sewing project: Cath Kidston-Style Dining Chair Cover and Reuphosltery
Well, actually, I didn't sew much -- just the sides of the dining chair's back cover. Yung fabric na ginamit ko is just a bunch of pillowcases from Canadian.

hi sis Sunshine! what brand of sewing machine do u use? kasi im planning to buy a brand new machine kaso brother and singer lang ang avail dito. i'm thinking of getting brother kaso di ako maka decide what model im going to buy

Hi sissies. New house na pala.  A few months ago wala ako kaalam alam manahi, fast forward a few months, So far I've finished about 100 projects na sinceI started sewing 
I have 2 sewing machines na din and planning to buy a serger for a more professional look sa seams hehe

Hi! I'm using Brother BM2600. It's great for beginners and easy to use, but you have to constantly clean it. Any dirt ruins the tension of the thread, so I always clean (vacuum the inside) before, during, and after use.
Rianne, magkano ang price range ng serger?

Depende sa number of thread  mas madami mas mahal.
If Brand new be prepared to shell out around 20k
If 2nd hand 5-8k

Pang edging usually siya ginagamit

I just use my sewing machine's zigzag function, but I really like the "clean" look of an edged dress/shirt/whatev.

Hi im very new here and i would really like to know more about sewing machines. Ano ba pinaka affordable na brand for beginners? Ang tagal ko ng gusto gumawa ng damit for my baby girl and almost all ng ginawa ko hand sewn and i would really want to buy a machine. Okay ba yung mga portable?

Asison09, may mga basic models ang Singer and Brother na perfect for beginners. I bought a Brother BM-2600, and sa totoo lang, di ko naman nagagamit yung ibang stitches, especially yung pang-embroider.

Meron akong nakita na machine sa SM 50% off siya tapos madaming kind of stitches di ko lang sure kung maganda. Pero pinagiipunan ko na. I really want to sew.

May alam ba kayo ng blogs na maraming tutorial? i'm planning to buy a sewing machine soon! primary projects na gusto ko kasi is altering clothes to fit me like yung sleeves, slacks, yung sa waist, etc.. para diba, hindi na ipapagawa sa iba.

Try mo ang BurdaStyle. They have patterns.
Kung alteration ang gagawin mo, just follow the original lines ng clothes.

hello, meron kaya pwedeng mag turo ng one on one sa house? im from pasig a mother of two. 3yo and a 10mos old. no time para maka enroll sa mga schools. and literal na wala akong alam sa pag tatahi. pero willing and interested matuto. sana meron pwedeng one on one na pupunta sa house. desperate na ko matuto kaya yun nakang ang naiisip kong choice, humanap ng Sewing tutorial na pwede pumunta sa house. tia!

you can check youtube for easy tutorials.

for newbies sa sewing, it doesn't matter kung ano brand ng machine meron ang importante yung easy to use para di ka magsawa. importante rin na mag practice lagi kahit simpleng project lang. ako kasi puro bag gusto ko gawin kasi sobrang dali lang.

nakabili na ako ng makina sa pier.. portable/push button lang na toyota.. 1.8k bili ko.. natatawa ako kasi sanay ako sa di padyak ng nanay ko... gumagalaw paa ko.. tapos yung parang gulong na iniikot sa gilid para i ayos ang karayom katabi lang ng pang adjust ng stitch.. sus! yung pang stitch ang naiikot ko.. mamalay malay ako nag zigzag bigla ang tahi ko..

gusto ko rin bumili ng serger soon.. aralin ko muna pano gamitin at pano pag thread.. mahirap na pag walang alam.. wala pa nmang manual mga makina sa pier..

nakabili kami ni hubby ng brother sewing machine last 2 years sa sa vivo city mall at singapore.  we paid 130 sg dollars..so that is about 4000php, when i check here the prices is around 8 thou kaya i think we got a very good deal, di pa sale yun that time ha.. anyway here is my recent project for my daughter..i'm so happy with sewing i got a few japanese books at national bookstore for ike 90 pesos and super gaganda ng mga pattern for kids
