we haven't been to Adventure Cove Water park pero parang ok naman sya. isang malaking water theme park.  kung mahilig kayo mag-swimming, this will be great.  it's definitely better than Wild Wild Wet. ang layo pa ng WWW, dito pa sa dulong East.  pero para masulit, dapat whole day kayo dito.

re: SALES. mahirap mag-recommend ng specific sale. kasi ilang araw lang yon dito. baka matagal pa kayong pupunta SG.  pero ako, mas gusto kong maghanap ng damit at shoes sa mga neighborhood malls. mas malalaki ang discount. syempre di lang ganon ka-wide ang style range. pero oks na din.  like a few weeks ago, there was a Billabong sale in Tampines mall. ang laki ng discount. pero tyempuhan din sa timing.
pinaka-safe siguro is Charles&Keith. nagkalat ito dito sa SG.  madalas din mag-sale.

re: EZLINK -  di nare-refund yung deposit kahit pa tourist kayo. kung gusto nyo ma-refund, better get the SG Tourist Pass.  pero kung ezlink, pede nyo pa naman sya magamit sa next trip nyo.

sobrang packed ang Day1 nyo. babalik naman pala kayo ng Sentosa on Day2, dun nyo na lang ilagay ang Siloso, Palawan Beach at Luge.  dati din may discount sa Luge pag may ticket kayo ng Songs of the Sea. pero after 7pm na sakay ng Luge yon.  kung mag-MBS kayo tapos with SkyPark at Gardens by the Bay, kailangan nyo siguro ng at least 4hrs para sa area na ito...  baka di na kayo umabot sa dinner sa Makansutra...
sabi sa Tian Tian website, 11am pa bukas ng Maxwell branch nila.
Crane Dance is at 9pm pa. baka din sarado ng Vivo CIty pagdating nyo doon. why dont you try yung Malaysing Food Street sa RWS.
baka mabitin kayo kung until 12nn lang ang Singapore Zoo. baka kailangan nyo pa ng addl 1-2hrs. at saka malayo ang zoo sa city at lalong malayo sa airport. baka magipit kayo sa oras.
Grocery at Changi Airport is at Terminal 3 & 1.
GST: alam ko sa labas yung ipapakita mo yung receipt (and/or goods).  tapos sa loob makukuha yung refund? correct me if im wrong sisses. di pa ako nakakuha nito eh...
liquid in your baggage, safest is i-checkin nyo na lang. allowed lang is 100ml pero bottle. im not sure kung ilang 100ml bottles pede...

Mga sis, thanks sa tulong ninyo. i suggest sa mga sis natin na pupunta sa SG, doon na lang kayo magpapalit ng singapore dollars kasi mas mura. Magdala na lang kayo ng peso then sa mustafa area , maraming money changer mas mura. For example, bumili ako dito ng singapore dollar , P34.51 ang SSD1, sa SG ,P34.25 and meron pa kami napalitan P34 flat lang...

jdabello, Sa Changi City Point (east side malapit sa airport side) and Anchorpoint (West side along Alexandra Road across Ikea) marami din mga good finds Hindi pa ako nakakarating sa Adventure Cove.

Day 1 (since 10am ang arrival ninyo then mag check in pa kayo sa hotel)
- Gardens by the Bay
- MBS, The Shoppes then walk kayo sa Helix Bridge
- Dinner at Gluttons by the Bay (Makansutra)

Day 2
- Adventure Cove
- Songs of the Sea at Night
- Vivo City for Dinner

Day 3
- Chinatown
- Maxwell Food Centre

thanks sa mga sissies who replied sa mga queries ko about SALE...i'll be with my hubby and our two tweenies kasi, so i really need to fix our itinerary para may time ding mag shopping in relax mode. medyo bad trip kasing mag shop na kulang sa time and most often i will just buy things na i might regret later on..

sis kayesl, when you said neighboring malls, san banda? tampines mall, anchorpoint, changi point..eto ba sila, as mentioned by sis yapeegurl?

my next question is, where can we buy tickets for sentosa attractions? like yong songs of the sea, luge, skyride, etc? dun din ba mismo sa entrance or if ever may websites selling tickets online, do you recommend ba?

cinnam, mag lau pa sat nalang kayo dinner. food is more decent than makansutra if habol nyo is maexperience kumain sa hawker... The satay here is good. Chili crab is decent naman and wayyyyy better than the one at Makansutra but almost same price nga lang ng No Signboard.

Ask ko lang po, if pupunta kami sa Johor Bahru coming from Novena MRT, sa Woodlands ba kami bababa or sa Marsiling to take Bus 950? sa gothere.sg kasi, Marsiling daw pero if I remember it right nung nasa SG ako 6 years ago, parang sa Woodlands yata yung sakayan. If sa Woodlands nga, anong bus number pa ang pwede namin sakyan aside from 950? Thanks po uli..

^Just go to Kranji MRT and take the 170 bus to Johor Bahru checkpoint.  Then from Johor Bahru, meron nang terminal doon to go either in Johor Bahru outlet or legoland.

Yup. yung mga malls ng mga towns dito. like tampines mall, white sands, compasspoint, amk hub, etc.

We availed of Philippine Airlines' Buy 2 Take 1 promo for Economy seats last April. Booked a round trip flight to Singapore for my sister and I via PAL Express. I am honestly disappointed with the time of the flight both outbound and inbound, and I deeply regretted availing of the promo seeing as we decided not to avail of the free flight upon much debating. Anyway, we're set to fly on July 5 at 8:25pm, and come home on the 10th at 12:45am. Horrible schedule, right? Apparently, those 2 are the only scheduled times linked to the promo even if we asked for different dates.

Our trip is DIY since we weren't so pleased with the tours we had from travel agencies before (but in a different country). This is going to be our first time in Singapore. We're a bit of a slacker so we only got to fix our itinerary yesterday, and managed to book a hotel room this morning.

After 6 hours of browsing through every lodging in Singapore via agoda.com, we finally decided to stay in New Cape Inn (3-Star) in Chinatown / Tiong Bahru in Seng Poh Road. We'll be staying in a Standard Double room without windows (the cheapest available) from July 5-9 (since we'll be departing Singapore at 12:45am on the 10th anyway), and it cost us 438.87USD (PayPal conversion is P19,617.55) since we just limited our budget to 100USD and below per night for the board and lodging. It's 93.21USD per night in agoda.com, but that's exclusive of the 10% service charge, and 7% Hotel Tax). Apparently, the rates displayed in the said website doesn't include such additional charges.

What made me choose New Cape Inn is the bathroom layout. I'm extremely picky when it comes to bathrooms. I want them spacious and the shower area separate from the toilet and sink. In New Cape Inn, the entire bathroom is made of transparent glass (I don't mind since it's going to be my sister and I in the room anyway), and the shower is partitioned by another glass. The rating in agoda.com isn't bad for the price; it's 7.3 = Good.

Anyway, my sister is still finalizing our itinerary. Btw girls, would it be better if I just purchase our tickets for the attractions, etc. online as well? We'd like to avoid the long queue so as not to waste time. If yes, is there any site where we can buy it from?

hindi naman kailangan dun sa may eTRS lang. kahit anong shops na may GST refund pede. usually naka-sticker sa may door nila.  Look for stores with a blue "Tax Free Shopping" or "Premier Tax Free" sticker. kung wala ask the salesperson kung meron.  dapat at least S$100 per receipt. kahit ilang items pa.

I used to live near New Cape Inn, just behind it.  The old rustic tiong bahru hdbs.  You are very near outram MRT and Tiong Bahru MRT, just one bus.  Also, there's a bus stop behind you (Blk 55 bustop), bus 175 and 16 goes to Orchard.  If you need to go to Sentosa, just ride the bus to outram then harbourfront MRT.

Right below the New cape Inn is a chinese restaurant.  Then tawid ka lang, yun na yung Tiong Bahru Hawker.  This is the hawker featured in KrisTV just recently.  I recommend you look for Lion Thai Kitchen when you get to Tiong Bahru Hawker.  Also, don't forget the tiong bahru pau for dumplings.  Sa hawker na yan, buhay ka na.  Super mura food and very clean.

New Cape Inn's area is like an island, you have to cross to your left to go to Blk 55 bus stop to catch the bus 16 and 175 to orchard.

Then cross to your right when you want to go the vice versa bus going to outram via etonhouse bus stop.

Just look at maps.google.com so you have an idea what I am talking about. 

Tiong bahru does not have malls within the area, you have to ride the 10 minutes bus to orchard or to Vivocity.  Tiong Bahru is a quaint area for artists kaya when you go inside the tiong bahru estate, maraming artsy restaurants.

In blk 55 bus stop there are plenty of restaurants, basta hindi ka mawawalan ng restaurants around you.  But note that hindi maingay ang lugar.  Its peaceful and quiet.  Its the place where middle sha ng Sentosa and Orchard.
