jentotmd, to answer your questions naman
1> kailangan ba talaga? photos are the best souvenirs. from my experience, wala akong natagong souvenir sa halos lahat ng naattendan ko na kasal. probably because i was there because i want to be there. what i remembered was the food and the beautiful photos. and frankly, magcocollect lang siya ng alikabok. unless its edible.

Pero, we spared our guests naman with all the cheesy "thank you for coming to our wedding" print. kaya eto ang naka
print sa mga bags. the meaning of the print will be revealed sa reception pero I'll say it here na lang. Why 9 of hearts? 9 stands for the month of September and if you look closely, meron 5 hearts (sa gitna) na kitang kita mo talaga. September 5 is our wedding date. Tapos syempre, kame yung asa gitna and initials namen sa bottom. Kaya sa part na ito, excited ako ipamigay yung souvenirs kasi pinag-isipan namen, alam namen na magagamit.
2> for primary sponsors, YES oo need ito. because we practically forced them because we chose them (hehe). wine? common pero practical. i try to avoid thinking about decorative things lang na di naman nila mismo magagamit or macoconsume.
- for our PS, lucky kame kasi we started looking for gifts few days after christmas kaya bagsak presyo pa sa lahat. for ninongs and ninangs, naka jackpot kame nung mga massager pillows. sa stress at pagka busy nila araw araw, makaka tulong for their back yung massager pillows na yun. for our bridesmaids naman and female SS, kikay kit.
for points 1 & 2, if you're really planning on giving souvenirs, know your guests. think of something na kapag binigay mo, alam mo ma-e-enjoy/ magagamit ng guests mo.
3> suppliers, mga sis, we are paying them. we take care of their meals. para sa akin enough na yun. the best favor is to brag them and refer and refer them and give them positive reviews. happy clients - happy business - happy suppliers.
- kame we're giving our suppliers a token of appreciation. ang reason, when converted to dollars, ang price nung gifts namen sa kanila is 1$ lang. we are giving them something unique na wala naman dito, clay magnets/ clay pens.
4> i strongly believe that our parents should have a surprise favor for them at the wedding. because the couple owes EVERYTHING to their parents. so sa akin, sila dapat ang binibigyan at pinag-iisipan. sobrang busy natin sa pagpapasaya ng guests at ng ibang tao. how about a surprise gift for them sa reception? i guarantee everyone in attendance will remember your wedding and will talk about it for months. souvenir na rin sa kanila yun. and they will leave the reception knowing na naka attend sila ng heartfelt wedding.
- agree ako dito. pero personally speaking, I can't think of anything material na pwede ibigay sa kanila. Us and all our family naman e magba bakasyon sa Pinas next year. kaya ang plano namen, kame na lang ang sasagot ng tickets nila from Manila to Cebu or Palawan (since wala pa samen nakakapunta dun) and just enjoy the trip as a family.
disclaimer: no offense meant to anyone din. and again, kung kayo yung couple na gusto talaga mag bigay ng gifts, think of something na alam nyo na magagamit talaga ng guests nyo. Or pwede din option na lang ang something edible. Like what
jentotmd said, wala naman yun sa souvenirs, give them something na pag naalala nila yung kasal nyo, ang maiisip nila, heartfelt, alive, and they had a great time. Importante din na wag gutumin ang guests.
