childless but not by choice..

ganun talaga malungkot pero life must go on...

Since you are both happy to be childless then I think you're OK. It's if one of you wants a kid and the other doesn't than you may have a problem but no one should be pressured to have children.

sadly, having a cheating husband sounds more normal than a married couple now wanting to have kids in our culture.

but SO WHAT if its not the norms? its not illegal nor immoral.

like what, sedate the child pre-flight?  ;D

:d  maybe she didn't mean that.
There are ways of prepping a toddler for flights.  Days before, explain mo what to expect, in kiddie terms,
para hindi ma claustrophobic ang bata.  A mom should come on board "armed" -- toys, books, IPAD, quiet games -- whatever can occupy a kid.
Snacks too and candies -- to pop the ears/equalize ear pressure during take off and descent.comfy in flight clothes too help a lot.
Ang bata kasi when uncomfortable will really throw a tantrum.

Married without children, by choice

In this world where everyone wants to have their own families, are there couples here who have this set-up? Bakit niyo napagdesisyunan na hindi mag-anak?

^yes meron, because they think they can't do the responsibilities, kung ano pa mang ibang reason meron sila karapatan na nila yun.

its your choice. so i think it should be okay.  ;D

Parenting requires to be "selfless at all times". Just like marriage, its a permanent decision of Life.
it's a virtue that is not for everybody. If you love the freedom and comfort you are experiencing now then being a parent is not for you.

However, on the other side, there is also joy and contentment that only parents can experience.

samin ni hubby, if we will be blessed with a child we will be thankful, pero kung wala, then we'll just accept it.  pero nagpursige pa rin kami na makabuo kasi on my part, para saan at para kanino lahat ng pinagpapaguran namin sa work kung wala naman kami paglalaanan na anak?  at sa tingin ko we will be more inspired to work pag may baby na.  we are thankful that after a year nkabuo din kami.  i'm 18 weeks preggy now.  nagpacheck kami sa OB and we found out pareho kami may problem.  si hubby mababa ang % ng good sperm nya, 9% lang while 14% ang normal.  ako naman i was diagnosed with PCOS.  that time dna kami masyado umasa na magka-baby.  i feel depressed everytime mag-PT ako taz negative ang result.  it came when we didn't expect it kaya sobrang happy kami ni hubby.   i can say na happy naman ang married life namin with just the two of us, but i believe mas happy pag may child talaga.  for me ibang happiness ang dala ng bata sa house eh,  pero syempre it comes with great responsibility.

My barkada since HS don't want to have kids.  Her hubby is ok with this din.  Wala daw sya tiyaga but she loves kids naman.

is it normal for a married couple to not want to have a child? not because of financial or health reason. you just both opted not to have a child.

For me, it is normal. It's your marriage, your life, your decision. But who wouldn't want a child someday? Hehe. Life would seem a lit better if you had someone to look after and also someone to look after you when you grow older. :D

Because my fiance and I are in a LDR right now, we decided not to have kids muna sa first few years ng marriage namin.  :) I know, minsan kapag may nakikita kang super duper cute na babies parang nakakainggit magkaroon, haha, pero mas gusto kong magspend muna ng time with him before anything else. I-enjoy muna yung kami lang dalawa. Kasi pag nagka-anak na kayo, those are the times na hindi mapapalitan, or mababawasan dahil nga focused na kayo sa mga kiddos nyo. :D

HAHAHA. Parang ewan lang no? Isa pa, we made a promise not to have kids before marriage. Yun yung pinaka-ayaw kong mangyari sakin. Though sa ibang tao masaya naman sila, I guess it really depends upon the two of you.

I've heard of that too. Selos sa anak. Once you have kids kasi, full attention talaga kaiangan ibigay unless magaling kayo mag schedule ng oras? Hehe
