Looking for a thread but i can't find one. Bukod sa CNN, Legoland, Coca Cola, ano pa ba ang pwedeng magawa dito. Tips sa shopping amd the best way to get there coming from manila. Thanks in advance mga sis! : )

I lived for a year in Montgomery, AL and used to do road trips to ATL. You can also check out Stone Mountain. There's a cable car there. Great view. Nature tripping. Reminds me of a baked potato haha...and Six Flags over Georgia.

You can do KE MNLICNATL.... Can't think of any other airlines with minimum stops...

My husband took Delta Airlines in going to Georgia. Almost 24 hours. My gulay,  i really hate
long-haul flights and several stop-overs and transfers.Iniisip ko pa lang ang travel ko, naistressed na
ako. I'm thinking na mag PAL na lang kami. Tulog muna sa LA before magproceed kinabukasan
sa Georgia kasi kasama ko mga kids namin.

^KE na kasi may minimum number of stops pag ex-MNL to ATL. Well, sa bagay, if you're not in a rush, ok lang mag LAX muna if ayaw nyo ng tuloy2x. Training ba si hubby dun? or family vacay kayo? Kami kasi 1yr training father ko sa Alabama dati kaya we had to live in the US for the entire period. Hmm, let me think of more places in ATL. Di rin naman kasi kami matagal nagsstay pag pumapasyal dun and dekada na nakalipas hehe....

^yes sis, schooling ng 6 months sa Fort Benning. Umalis sya last April.I want to visit him sana ng
mag-isa sa July or August  kaso na-intimidate ako sa byahe. Hates ko pa naman ang domestic
flight sa US.Kaya sis sa October na lang ako punta kasama na lahat ng kids namin in time sa
graduation nya dun.at least pag madami,oks lang. Yung mga kids ko naman,nag US na so carry nila
ang long-haul na flights pero ang haba pa,din sbra ng 24 hours. My in-laws naman taga LA kaya iniisip
ko na mag overnight before proceeding sa Georgia.

Sis k_heart, there's also Georgia Aquarium that your whole family can go. Hubby is from Savannah, GA and we always pass by Atlanta on the way home.

Not sure about shopping malls in Atlanta but I'm sure there's regular stores like Dillard's, maybe Macys. There is an outlet mall called North Georgia Premium outlet but its about 40 mins north of Atlanta. From Fort Benning to Atlanta is about 2 hour drive. Are you meeting your hubby in Atlanta or in Fort Benning?
Did he just got in the Army?

Fort Benning for 6 months.

^ Love outlet malls too! Hindi ako magkanda ugaga kung alin pipiliin ko at aling store uunahin I lived in the US but were stationed in Europe right now, hubby's in the US Air Force. Kala ko hubby mo nasa US Army

We're planning to go to Atlanta and Augusta Georgia next week.

Any suggestions please? Must try food/restos and tourist spots.

^ sa Atlanta, i enjoyed the Coke and CNN tours. Yung Aquarium, so-so lang for me. Also, try to visit Stone Mountain, ganda din. We were there last year. Though couple of days lang..

(Pahabol) and watch an NBA game live if me maabutan ka pa.

^how much sa mga tours na yan sis? 1 day lang kami sa atlanta.

Sa food ano okay dun sis? Magsstay talaga kami sa augusta for 5 days so magddrive nalang din kami sa atlanta.

^ Coke and CNN you can do in one day. You can actually walk from one place to the other by crossing the Olympic Park. And me combo ticket na din for both. I forgot how much, but pagkaalala ko e di naman ganun kamahal. Nasa website yata nila and prices and schedules.

Food in Atlanta.. hmm, we went to the Atlanta Food Truck Park for lunch. Konti pa lang open when we went there, but ok naman yun naorder ko na pork ribs barbecue..

another day naman we had lunch at an Italian/Napoletana pizza place frequented mostly by college students (my cousin's fave; ok naman, though iba pa din ang authentic pizza in Napoli, and medyo punuan lagi so pila to order and for seats).

Dropped by for snacks din sa The Varsity, ok to. Masarap onion rings, chili dog and orange frosty.

The restos we went to for dinner, the usual American burger/steak resto. Pag breakfast, lutong-bahay ng Tita ko o di kaya Chick-f.il-A and Ihop, haha.

Di ko alam where Augusta is, but Stone Mountain is actually also outside Atlanta, so baka you can drop by din dun some other day.

Sulit ba puntahan ang stone mountain sis? Nabasa ko nga yung Atlanta food truck. Puntahan din namin yan kasi foodtrip din isa sa habol namin hehe

May alam ka na filipino resto dun sis? May quickly nga ata kasi sila dun. Miss na kasi namin ang zagu haha so quickly close enough na din.

^ i liked Stone Mountain. Though medyo halfday lang kami dun. We just went to the top of the mountain. Di na kami masyado nakapag-ikot and tambay sa other areas. We just drove around the other spots. Ganda din ng weather when we went there.

Di ko lang alam yung Filipino restos..
