Dermatologist Guide Thread 13- Dermas pretending to be patients, stay away!

I'm a newbie here. I've been acne prone since grade school and now that I'm already 27 years old, it's just about time that I go consult a dermatologist pero I'm kind of confused if Dr. Martires is worth seeking kasi may mga unsatisfied patients. I'm on a tight budget and her fee, I think is just right for me kaso takot ako baka lalong lumala skin condition ko. I don't have much pimples now and my primary concern are the acne scars that I'm dying to get rid of..I'm torn between Dr. Chua, Dr. Martires and Doc 6..haaaayyy...

tried to consult with doc mike chua. he is nice naman pero parang masyadong nagmamadali and impersonal ng konti. pero nice. not masungit or anything bad.

can someone recommend a derma in capitol med qc? or ortigas area?

Derma ko din sila. Mababait naman sila. Kahit magtanong ka sa kanila ok lang. Mas prefer ko personality ni Dra. Jamora.  Nakakaintimidate pero ok naman. hehe Hindi lang sila ang magclean sayo, yung doctors din nila. Pero sila marecommend ng procedure mo and medicines.

Pero magagaling talaga sila. Nung nagretire na yung dati kong derma. Napunta ako sa more than 5 dermas, including Dr. Mike Chua. Pero lalo lang lumala mga pimples ko sa iba or mabagal ang result. Nawawalan na ko ng pagasa nun, kala ko di na babalik yung dati kong skin. Pero ok na siya ngayon, Clear na ulit!

Yup. Kung check up lang, ok na sa st. luke's sis. 700 ang consultation niya sa skin clinic. I'm not really sure kung same din sa st. luke's. Ang mahal lang sa kanya, is yung treatments and medicines for acne.

^ Around how much would she charge for something like tretinoin cream?  Sila dra Jamora ba yung tipong magrerecommend ng accutrex/ isotretinoin if may pimples?

^yes, roaccutane ang pinrescribe sa sister ko for her pimples.

^yun din prescribe ni dra. Jamora Sakin, it's effective. Pero di naman niya ko pinilit, explain naman niya. Nagclear yung skin ko back to normal. I have bacne pa. Nagclear din.

Yung cream around 400 php good for 2 weeks use.

Can anybody please post the rates of Dr. Jasmin Jamora? Like yung TCA Peel nya how much? Or yung monthly procedure na pinapagawa nyo sa kanya? Clear na ko sa pimples, yung mga scars na lang na naiwan ang kelangan kong pagtyagaan ng monthly kakabalik. Hehe.

Been with Dr. Martires for three years pero lilipat na kasi kami ng South so medyo hassle na magpunta pa ng Tiendesitas.

^Dr. Jasmin Jamora, is 700php for consultation. Im not really sure how much yung TCA Peel? Pero yung cleaning ko sa clinic niya starts at 1200php and up, every two weeks before, ngayon once a month na lang. Without medicine and topicals, siguro I spend mga 2000 to 2500 per session

how much per box ng accutane? Some dermas have advised me to take this eh. I want to know if I will be able to save more taking this than actually going for cleaning and peeling every 2 weeks.

Girls!! Super i highly recommend dr nelson lee for moderate to severe pimples. I know he can handle din severe na nga e. He told me i didn't need roaccutane naman na nirecommend ng 2 previous dermas. After a month na i came back hindi pa nga sya contented alam nyang hindi ako masipag magpahid ng meds nya. Alam nya effects ng meds nya e. His meds cost around 1800 for a month not bad na

From the feedbacks here, it seems na roaccutane ang usual na oral prescription ni Dra. Jamora?Nagdadalawang isip tuloy ako sa kanya. I don't think everyone needs oral medication for their acne pero mukhang madalas syang magprescribe ng ganun.

Which makes Dr. Nelson Lee very appealing ha. Any more reviews on him? I tried googling wala akong masyadong makita

Ako tamad magpahid kaya gusto ko sana ng oral meds. Di nga lang ako maresetahan kasi I was breastfeeding nung huling balik ko sa derma. Andami ko lagi sa may chin ewan ko ba dun sila lahat tumutubo malalaki tipong kasing laki na halos ng 5 centavos... anyways, lipat na din ako from Dr. Mike Chua di ko na nagustuhan yung huling balik ko sa kanya masyadong nagmamadali.

Itry ko sana yang sa Tiendesitas kaso mahirap yung clinic sched nila vs my sched tapos they don't accept credit cards ata (last time I asked). Gusto ko sana yung tumatanggap ng cc kasi sa sobrang laki ng bayad sa derma, sayang yung points at promo na makukuha ko sa card lol.

^Naku, kung lilipat ka from Mike Chua dahil rushing siya, you might have the same experience kay Dra. Martires. Isa yan sa reason kung bakit di ako bumalik sa kanya, parang laging nagmamadali. There was a time na maya pinapa-consult ko sa kanya problem ko sa skin nun sa may boob area, ang bilis nyang mag-assess. As in, one look, diagnosis agad tapos "treatment" which is pinrick nya yung area. At yung kids yata nya yun, pasok labas sa room, eh imagine ang pinapa-consult ko nun sa boob ko tapos ganun. Hindi man lang nya sitahin yung mga bata kasi pagbukas ng pinto medyo kita ako ng tao sa labas.
