Dermatologist Guide Thread 13- Dermas pretending to be patients, stay away!

hi girls, its been a while on my 5th month with my derma..saw feedbacks here sa GT kasi kaya ako nagpunta sa kanya..pero I have a question. talaga bang masakit mag prick si Dra? I can't tell the name of the derma muna ha.. Yung tipong sugat sugat face ko after.. tas may peel ako..naisip ko.. ang pini peel na lang ng mukha ko ay yung prinick nya kasi sobrang sugat talaga face ko after, may scars na red sa may pimples dahil sa pag prick nya... Medyo mabigat pa kamay nya..lalo dun sa suction ba yun (parang bara bara lang) ..compared sa ibang derma na napuntahan ko..

Ako naman nag stay na kay Dra Martires. Na-try ko na yung peeling, facial (tca and diamond), peeling (sa legs, elbow, knees) and diodelaser. Satisified naman ako sa kanya.

How about Metropolitan?  Try dra. mel lo    There are so many great doctors with no online fans, you don't need to look in this forum.  Marami diyan, just go to hospitals.

Did dra perform the cautery?  Diba scabs can fall off earlier if the wart is just small and longer if its deeper like plantar?  Importante is there is no scab and tanggal talaga ang wart.

I'm new to the thread naghahanap sana ng derma for a relative who needs immediate attention but the warnings about posers did not help (no names, no reference link to the thread that may have the names).

Both dermatologists have established a good rap in treating acne so it wouldn't really be a tough call which derma to choose. I personally see Doc Six Foronda for my stubborn acne and the ugly scarring my cystic pimples leave my skin. Ilang taon na din ako with her and I don't see myself under anyone's care atm kasi memorize na nya (pati her assistants) kung paano i-handle skin ko.

To help you choose which derma to see, pls consider:

1) the clinic location. dapat accessible sayo so that there wouldnt be issues in following-up treatments.

2) your budget. hindi pwede yung pang 1 treatment lang. you have to anticipate na baka you'll need to go back a couple of times to make sure you end up with improved skin. make sure you have the budget for at least 3-5 treatments for your mild acne. Follow-up kasi is essential if your doctor deems it necessary; so pag di ka nag follow up kasi ubos na funds, sayang naman yung previous gastos mo.

Doc Martires has lower treatment prices compared to Doc Six so if youre on a tight budget, you might want to try Doc Martires. It's nice to know din that both doctors offer discount to students and GTers.

3) the impact of the reviews on you. i assume nakapag research ka na prior to you asking us which doctor to consult. if hindi pa, then you should. at this day and age, it's convenient to end up with the right doctor kasi ang dami ng nag she-share ng experiences nila with these professionals.

malalaman mo rin naman na nasaliksik mo nang maigi ang pakay mo pag nagkakaron ka na ng conviction kung sino pupuntahan mo. after googling your way through reviews, asking other people's opinion personally is your way of affirming that conviction and from there, malamang na mapapanatag ka na dun sa doctor na pupuntahan mo. but, kung hindi mo type mag effort magresearch, chances are, di ka mapapakali dun sa doktor na pupuntahan mo bec you'll probably be asking yourself a lot of 'what if's'. thats why i stress the importance of forming a conviction via thoroughly researching and BACKREADING dahil magiging patient ka lang naman na sumunod at magfollow up ng treatment kung panatag ka sa doktor mo. You have to form a certain degree of trust already even before seeing the doctor.

im sorry super haba. pero you can initially start from these three factors to consider so you can zero in on which doctor to see.

Im torn between dra. martires and dr. mike chua. Ipapaconsult plus treatment ko na kase yung 13 year old daughter ko, meron kase syang mga butlig-butlig sa face and stubborn pimples. Yung dalawang doctors ang pinagpipilian ko since sila yung most accessible from our place. Nagbackread na rin ako, yun nga lang yung rates na nakita ko was around 2011-2012 pa for pimple treatment. I wanna know sana their latest rates/prices for such treatment/procedure. Tia!
