I  read a LOT of reviews (munchpunch, blogs, etc.) about these famous Tagaytay restaurants that serve bulalo. There are good, bad and @!#?* reviews.

Leslie's - Overpriced. not delicious. Bad customer service. Dedma na mga waiters.  Para daw bingi at bulag. Saw a comment that mgmt is getting a chunk of the service charge and tips (so maybe thats why the workers are walang gana magtrabaho)

RSM, LZM - cold food, fly in the food, not delicious

Dencio's - I saw a blog post about their bagoong had band aid and  The bulalo had a live vegetable worm?! OMG! We've eaten there before! But we found none of those naman. Thank God!

having worked in the food service industry, i know these are works of disgruntled Employees. Some loko-lokong cooks did that to get back at the company so they will lose customers AT OUR OWN EXPENSE. 

But some reviews naman say their food is great! Im so confused! pupunta pa naman kami this weekend with my family may baby pang kasama. and we want bulalo!

Anybody here who has tried eating bulalo at Mahogany Market? I saw good reviews but my concern is the cleanliness.

last weekend nag dinner kame sa Tootsie's new favorite namen itong makakainan for sure, maayos, mabango (amoy spa) & masarap ang food... more on filipino dish sila... mas gusto namen dito kumain kasi mas intimate compare sa Leslie's or RSM... regarding the food we orderd: carbonara, pork bbq and sinigang na baboy & ube palitaw ...msasabi kong bagong luto talaga kaya yun ang nag pasarap...

next monday balik kame dito, i like to try Molo Soup & Laing

^ sis purpleish, may taal lake view din ba ang tootsie's? namimili kasi ako ngayon kung saan kami kakain para sa anniversary ng parents ko.. ang pinagpipilian ko ay ito, Bag of Beans, Josephine's o taal vista buffet..

^ wala sis jareivy dun sa choices ang Bag of Beans lang ang walang view ng taal kasi sa kabilang side siya (pero type ko mga food nila and maganda ang ambience parang nasa garden ang peg ) ... kung food and ambience na over looking ang taal ang consideration:

- Taal Vista Buffet (may promo ang deal grocer nasa P850 na lang)
- Josephine (bata pa ata ako last kain ko dito)
- Bag of Beans (sarap ng pasta dishes and must buy and raisin bread, meron den silang buffet)

thanks sis purpleish, nakapag-try na ako sa josephine's pero 2008 pa iyon at ala carte ang mga order.. gusto sana namin itry yung buffet nila..

nakita ko nga sis yung deal para sa taal vista, hindi ko lang sure if sulit yun for the price.. dati kasi ay 50% off talaga ang discount nila..

tama ka sis, masarap ang raisin bread ng BOB.. isa yan sa pupuntahan namin..

Its so hot in tagaytay grabeee! Parang namiss ko tuloy ang baguio.

First stop was guess where?  Dencios! Haha! We arrived halos 3 tables palang occupied. We were satisfied with their service kasi we didnt wait that long for the food. What i didnt like was the bulalo kasi ang konti ng serving. Tapos nagsebo kasi walang warmer. And yung isang piece tough pa yung meat. The calamres i love! Fried tawilis is expensive for its small serving. Next  time talaga sa mahogany naman kami.

 We went to puzzle mansion. Ang layo sa main road ha!! Tapos ang steep ng road papasok sumayad pa yung kotse nung paalis na kami. Tapos may times na nag woworry ako kasi wala nang sign going to puzzle mansion. The puzzle museum was okay but its better if theres a guided tour talaga kasi parang boring kung ikot ikot ka lang. But we saw mrs lacuna when we went to buy souvenirs! Very nice lady so down to earth and so nice. Love their garden and they also sell plants. The place is nice kaso its so far from the town proper and main road pag gabi im sure the roads are so dark going to this place. But the kids will love it here.

We didn't visit na the other places kasi ang traffic din kanina. We opted to go home before it gets dark and my baby is napagod na din.

super enjoy kami last weekend, we stayed at Taal Vista di sila mahigpit, kahit ng nag check in kami na may kasama kami guest na naki swimming lang then umuwi din sila ng gabi..

zipline, cable car sa Residence Inn ginamit namin voucher ng Cash Cash Pinoy, may lunch na kasama good for 4 di na lang kami nagpuntang Paradizoo, medyo tinamad na kami mag zoo..

Lunch sa Leslie at Dinner Mushroom burger.. midnight snack ng cake sa coffee shop ng Taal Vista, may nag piano at may singer, very relaxing lang ang ambiance..

sayang lang umulan punta sana kami sa Sky Ranch, di natuloy...

^sis mahigpit ba sa check in and check out time ang taal vista?  Jan din kami magstay this coming friday. Okay ba ang breakfast?  Iniisip ko if I would avail the buffet breakfast for my son, sana maraming food. THanks!

Geri Spice: na-try ko nang kumain sa Mahogany Market for bulalo. ok naman, malinis naman, i guess kasi di naman sumakit tyan namin. mura nga bulalo dun, parang 300 lang ata.  pero parang mas nasarapan pa ko sa bulalo sa tapat ng leslie's.  i forgot the name of the restaurant, it's also beside magallanes something.  yung itsura ng resto is puro mga kawayan.

cheezecake: ang alam kong Rowena's ay yung malapit sa Bag of Beans sa may Tagaytay Rotonda.  from Taal Vista, di ako sure kung may mga jeep dun but maybe you can try riding a jeep going to Olivarez, baba ka na lang bago mag Rotonda. nasa right side yung Rowena's. mauuna yun sa Bag of Beans if galing ka ng Taal Vista.

nasa Tagaytay ako etong weekend.  di naman super init.  natuwa nga ako kasi at around 10:30am, tirik na tirik ang araw pero di super init.  malamig kasi yung hangin.  nung gabi rin ng saturday, mahangin at malamig.  kasi siguro medyo umulan nung saturday. 

finally na-try ko na sa Java Jazz Coffee.  dito rin sana kami mag stay overnight pero fully booked na. 3 lang kasi ang rooms nila.  sarap ng Tsokolate Eh nila!  i'll blog about this soon, pero na-update ko na rin blog ko about budget accommodations, kasama etong Java Jazz.  di pala sila affiliated sa agoda as per their shop pero pano kaya sila napunta ng agoda?

just came home from Tagaytay grabe ang init!!! Na sunburn si Baby and hubby ko.    We arrived early at Tagaytay via van.  We had our breakfast at Bag of Beans ang mahal and I would there is nothing special about their food naman so for me it's not worth it to spend more than 1k just for breakfast. We stayed at Taal Vista grabe yung mountview room nila e Sky Ranch view and since ginagawa pa ang Sky Ranch we can't open our room dahil puro construction workers sa labas. And yung sa Deal Grocer na 4500 hindi naman pala promo may nakasabay kaming nag check in na walk in 4500 din binayad niya sa mountain view room. Haay....mga groupons talaga manloloko.    Breakfast at Taal Vista is so so....

Mainit ba sa tagaytay? Should i bring long top for my kids? Will be there tom with foreign guests. Ok na ba un paradizoo then lunch then ilog maria bago mag rowena? 2-3pm kasi need na umuwi, may event sila ng gabi. What time kaya kami alis sa am? Magbreakfast pa along highway.

Sa food

bag of beans: mas ok pa yung dun sa may rotonda kasi nice view yung isa kasi malamok. Food is ok but medyo priceyi recommend their unlimited kapeng barako for coffe lovers. apple pie and blueberry cheesecake is to die for.

I prefer loumars than rowens.

Mahogany Market- If youre not to particular naman with the place ok sa mahogany market. masarap bulalo nila plus yung crispy tawilis. friendly mga staff nila and may free pa na senorita :-)

so far we've tried keni po, taal vista and lee boutique

keni po is fair enough for the price. masarap breakfast nila and maganda ambiance sa garden.

taal vista one of the best :-)

lee boutique super nice yung room malaki and maganda cr.

^^ Kami sis cheezecake 4300 lang mountain view sa Taal Vista namin  tumawag lang kmi  sa office nila at gamit sm advantage card.

oo nga e lokong deal grocer yan tapos ang pangit ng view buti nlan ni refund yung binayad ko.
