School Bags for kids
« on: April 16, 2013, 06:02:14 pm »
ANong school bag ba ang dapat para sa Kinder? and also, san kayo bumibili and price range?
same goes with elementary students.

I see a lot of trolley bags in the mall. nagugulat lang ako sa price.

We got an Allerhand backpack for my toddler at Rustan's. They have school bags too.
Whatever I want, I get. If I can't, I don't stop TRYING.

^^ Better wait til you see the requirements before you buy. There are schools that don't merely require luggage type bags for Kinder. Last year, my son (CASA) was only required to get a backpack and the school indicated the dimensions of the cubby hole where they will place their things, inc lunch kits.

Parang may ganito na thread na before.

Anyway, this school year start na kami sa jansport :) bata na anak ko d na baby :)

I bought jansport
1. Air cure backpack
2. Elefunk messenger
3. Messenger st something :)

pa-join mga sis. one month to go and pasukan na naman ng mga kids. my son will be in the 2nd grade this coming school year, and i'm looking into buying him a bag with wheels (i.e trolley bag ba tawag dito?). he is already used to using this trolley bag since he was in prep kasi madami silang books and notebooks, though the trolley bags i bought before were not that big. basta may wheels lang para di nya need magbuhat. this coming school year, my son is requesting me to buy him that trolley bag na "pwede daw upuan"... i tried to ask the other moms, and they said that there are some trolley bags that are big and wide enough na pwede gawin upuan ng bata while waiting for their school shuttle service. honestly, when my son told me about this, una kong naisip was yung mga luggage-type na maleta - definitely not for school.  for those moms na nakakita or may idea sa ganitong type ng trolley bag (i.e. malapad enough na pwede upuan), are these available sa mga department stores and may matibay ba na brands? thanks in advance for the replies!

^ thanks sa info sis! wow! ganun sya ka-mahal - 4K?!? presyong travel luggage na... naku, sana may mas murang version nung hawk. otherwise, my son has to be contended with an ordinary trolley bag na lang. anyway, at least i have an idea of the good brands. thanks again!

^ Hawk is expensive, yes, but worth the investment. My son used his for 3 years already. Next year yun pa din gagamitin niya. Yan nga yung nauupuan, for sure when you go to the mall, ide-demo pa sayo yan ng salesman. :)

Suggest you go during mall sales kasi malaki din ang discount, like if sa sm, go during the first 2 hours of the first day, yung may extra 10% off for Advantage card holders.

^ ah sis.. so tumatagal naman pala yung bag for years... hindi ba sya mabigat? kasi medyo maliit and payat yung son ko. sige, sana mag-sale ang SM soon para at least may discount dun sa bag. thanks for the info mga sis!  :)

^ There's a mall-wide sale at Megamall tomorrow.  I am also looking at a Hawk stroller bag (priced at 3k) for my twin boys but yun nga, the dimensions are not exactly the same as the specifications of the school.

@binggay, I saw in the other thread that your son goes to AGS.  Okay lang ba kung hindi exactly the same ang specs ng stroller bag?  Sa list kasi, 5x12x16, yung Hawk bag na tiningnan namin last weekend eh 7x12x16.  Okay lang kaya yun?

^ thanks for the info sis marose17.  :) hopefully, i can drop by at Megamall after office hours. either that or will check out SM cubao or marikina (as we are nearer those 2 branches). hopefully, they'll also have a school-opening sale this May or early June. will try to bring my son din when shopping for the bag, para at least ma-check kung kaya ba nya yung weight and if gusto nya.

nakakalula ang price ng mga bags for kids these days. anyway, may outlet store ang hawk sa divisoria. Juan Luna street. I bought my son's hawk bag there at okay pa din sya for this coming school year. yung jansport style na bag nila, P500 lang bili ko. Yung trolleys nila medyo pricey pa din pero malaki pa din discount. btw, kasama nya din dun ang Secosana bags, Disney princess' bags at travel bags and luggages. open yung store from monday-saturday.
I have to bounce back because I AM LIMITED. :)
