last feb nagseminar ang bdo sa office namin regarding EIP. Ang sabi nung marketing manager mas maganda raw kung hindi bagsakan yung bigay mo, kasi mas madami mabibili na units kung staggered.
example pagbili mo ng bagsakan mataas yung price konti lang yung mabibili, unlike pag staggered iba iba yung price pagbumili. kaya mas madami yung mabibili na units pag staggared.

Thanks for this info! I'm very new at this and haven't started yet. I'm eyeing the Fixed Income fund and Balanced fund pero when I inquired kanina hindi ko sure kung hindi lang maalam yung mga nakausap ko or what. They said mas maalama sila sa Equity (but I would assume you would have an idea on this too haha)

Yung pagkuha ba ng P1k dun sa SA acct mo, pwede bang naka-set na P10k lang ang ibabawas nya?

In a nutshell, meaning upon initial P1k pwede na syang mag-gain/loss pero hindi pwede I-withdraw since may 'holding' period na 30days? And the next month is magkakaron ng another P1k pambili ng units. Feel free to correct me. Thanks in advance!

Question is not 100% clear to me but

- Yes every contribution (1,000 in your case) will have
paper loss/gain

- The holding period does not come into the picture until
your EIP is spun off i.e. the market value reaches 10,000

- Once you have 10,000 and a certificate of participation
you'll have to wait for 30 days before redeeming if you don't
want to be slapped with fees

- You can redeem your EIP even if it hasn't reached 10,000
(or spun off) but you'll be charged a fee

^ based on my understanding fixed income is 1bankday while the balanced fund is 4banking days.

I got the balanced fund and based on the survey, fit naman daw ako for balanced fund pero kasi yung questionnaire eh parang obvious dun sa questions kung ano yung fixed/balanced/equity hehe.
 
Mahal yung NAVPU now, so okay lang na EIP ako at hindi one-time bigtime ko kinuha yung initial since maliit lang mabibili ko nun diba? Bali, meaning the risk is worth it since in the future months pwede bumaba un NAVPU?


Share ko pala mga sis yun experience ko upon opening uitf. since I opened dun sa same branch ng SA ko, pumayag na one identification na lang (passport) kase wala pa un license id ko lolz and may difference dun sa BIR id ko haha but typically they still need 2 id even if you just opened the account within the 2yrs in the same branch. and also all of the documents I read/signed were in the site as well.

Question pala, how does it work after I reached the initial 10k and received my CoP tapos I decided not to withdraw but I won't deposit na. Tutuloy pa rin ba syang magcompute sa (# of units x NAVPU) in the coming months kahit 10k worth lang un units ko?
Or para syang stocks na kung magkano lang un value ng units on that month, yung lang un makukuha ko (regardless of the value of the units in the previous months?)

^Correct me if I'm wrong pero I know tuloy pa din yun as long as you're not withdrawing the money invested and closing the account.

Pag 10K na   mag appera na   yung  10k na   credit sa   account investment mo if your have BDO online.. or  you  can get the  cert sa bank.   most of the time  11k talaga  kasi  if   bumaba ang  NAV  kakapusin  yung  10k na   EIP.

hehe just to get back on my question. this helped me.

so it is regardless of the previous months/date NAVPU. 

And to quote the site, "Remember: COP issuance is based on the market value (accumulated units x the NAVPU) reaching at least
Php 10,000.00 on a contribution date, NOT necessarily when the total contributions reach Php 10,000.00."

Tapos you can only view it online once you reached 10k or got the CoP otherwise you cannot view it online yet. Is it ok if I inquired through the bank or do you just ladies keep personal track of navpu on the date of your contribution? TIA.

^ Not sure sis if mabibigyan ka agad agad ng CoP or your money will need to sit for 30days pa. But yes also, the navpu will still depend on 7pm of that day you availed your CoP. Tapos yung processing days ng CoP mo will also depend on which type of uitf you availed.

Sis, no need na to wait for 30 days. Pag may buong 10k ka na ibibigay they will invest it that day or next day if di pasok sa cut-off then the teller will give you a date kung kelan pwedeng kunin yung certificate -- I think 2 banking days, basta within the week.

You need SA account  go direct  to  New account section. di kana  pipila..

Question lang:
I have an existing payroll account with BDO. Pwede ba na sa payroll account na lang sila magdebit monthly instead of opening a new personal savings account? TIA

Done backreading the whole thread. So far, I've been enlightened with the topic and I'm really interested to open EIP after more research. I already have an existing BDO Savings Account so I think it'll be much easier; I just have to figure out which UITF suits me best.

I was able to finally open UITF (Equity Plan) and EIP (PBAL and Equity) last December 23 but my money won't be invested yet until December 29 (regular banking day). Hopefully the NAVPU by that time is lower.
