Its because there's always the emotional aspect
of investing. He might have a mid term or short
term goal and might be invested in the fixed income
fund. Bond funds this year has been really weird.

They are approaching equity-like returns, i.e.
nearly 10% p.a. but recently they started to go down
really hard.

I'm out of bonds myself except for BDO and BPI
as I can average down seeing I can add just 1k
and there's no sales load.

Nope, everytime you "complete" an EIP cycle, you can choose
to unsubscribe with no penalties.

But if hindi pa complete, i.e. the EIP value has not reached
at least 10k yet then you will be slapped with a termination
fee.

@halee, there's a 4 day limit(this was current back in 2011)
So that means if you want to start on Sep 27, that means there's
only 1 day until the supposed start of your contribution day, what
will happen is, it will start next month, Oct 27.

But if you said you want to start on Oct 1, since that's over 4 days
before the supposed start date, then your contribution would start
on Oct 1.

I hope that was a clear explanation.

Budget kasi problem ko and I'm happy to learn about this offering. Mas malaki kikitain ng small montly savings ko dito than in a regular savings account. Thanks again

regularly kaya walang auto debit.

Available na po ulit EIP ng BDO? un monthly nade-debit sa enrolled account? kasi nagpunta ako sa branch ko kanina, sabi nun naghahandle ng investment wala pa daw. gusto ko sana mag enroll.

@anna, parang iba ata yung pagkasabi mo..
pero yes, the balanced fund is one of the fund choices
under the EIP program.

Other funds include equity, fixed income and money market.

I unsubscribed from BDO EIP. Gusto ko kasi mag rest muna and open again with an equity fund EIP. but now I'm having a doubt.

I made a wrong move when I unsubscribed my EIP. Iyong 2nd EIP ko hindi umabot nang 10k nag fluctuate ang market at wala akong na receive na COP kasi 9,946 lang iyong kita nang 2nd EIP ko. Naka pag unsubcribe na ako. so they just credit it back into my account.

I learned my lesson.

Don't pull out your funds if the market is low kasi may chance pa ito tumaas. Sayang lang. Hehe.

Anyway, mga sis, if I am planning to take out my funds 1-2 years from now, would the BDO Equity Fund be okay? Aggressive ako kasi. Pero dapat dito malaking debit din monthly. TIA!
