I suffer from occasional zits here and there since highschool, college medyo nagclear skin ko pero when i started working bumabalik balik sya. Nothing major naman pero yun nga, zits here and there. Before I tried using Black Pearl soap + tomato soap combo from Cyleina, it worked wonders on me kaso super drying naman, hanggang sa I stopped. Recently I tried yung La Lumiere i got mine from an online store, it cleared my face and nag tighten din pores ko after 3 months na gamit. I wrote a review with before and after photos on my blog

super frustrated na with my pimples - especially the big cystic ones - located at my chin area.  hindi ko na alam anong gagamitin kong acne cream/gel. i've tried panoxyl, benzac ac. ang naging effective lang na commercial acne cream sa akin is yung clearasil - unfortunately, hindi readily available yun sa local drug stores sa pinas. i have to wait kung mapapadalhan ako ng cousin ko sa US. i've also tried changing facial wash - nagtry na ako nung SAS soap from flawless. nung una ok, pero after some months using it, parang naging immune yung skin ko, balik na ulit cystic pimples. im now using human heart nature - hoping na since organic sya, hindi ganun ka-tapang sa skin. haist.. even my OB noticed my acne breakout. since I'm also having trouble with my irreg monthly period, my OB prescribed some pills. she's also hoping na ma-address nung pills pati yung acne ko.. pero mukhang hindi.. mukha yung irreg period ko lang ang naa-address... haist.. super frustrating acne.. di ko na talaga alam ang gagawin..

Ako ginamit ko ay eskinol + maxipeel #1 nung nag-breakout ako and effective naman. Nawala pimps ko sa noo. Sinabayan ko ng maxipeel soap and san-ing pearl cream.

^SAS soap from flawless burnt my face like hell, yung parang red-brown na yung color ng face ko and super hapdi, but that was years ago pa. ngayon ok na face ko just by using eskinol-clinda and tret gel. i always got cystic acne on my chin too before pero ngayon hindi na.

Kung consistent sa chin area sis, you may want to consider changing your toothpaste. Baka it's too harsh for you. Parang break out lang yan sa likod, others consider changing shampoos and it worked.

Had minimal acne nung high school. Lumala nung college dahil sa stress ng puyat, duty etc. Inde ko talaga naalagaan si face kaya kahit ngaiong working na ko for 3 years, break outs pa rin

When I started working, tsaka lang ako nagkaron ng time (at money) to address this concern kaya lang ang hirap makahanp ng kapit ko.

I tried St. Ives, Eskinol, Ponds, Maxipeel and Derma-prescribed to no avail. At least 3 months ko try, pag walang effect, rest 2 weeks then palit naman.

Beauche pa lang nagpabawas ng pimples though yung red and dark spots di pa nawawala. Wala pa rin akong mahanap na pang in between kay Beauche since nakakanipis sya ng face. Ano pa ba yung medio cost-friendly?

thanks sis lionheart2010! i'm currently using colgate (yung fresh confidence green variant). any suggestions on a toothpaste brand na can fight teeth problems but not too harsh on the skin? actually sis, meron din ako cystic pimples sa cheeks, pero mas madami lang talaga sa chin area.

question din mga sis. i saw an infommercial on this home tv shopping channel about ProActiv. medyo pricey sya. may sis na kaya tayo na nakapagtry nito? any feedback? TIA!

ako i've tried proactiv nung bata pa ako. didn't help though. ang mahal pa naman! Pero like what we always say, hiyangan lang yan.

Recently, I wanted to try acne.org regimen then I reaized its benzoyl peroxide dependent regimen too just like proactiv so I think it's not going to be effective din.

According to what I've read, cystic acne on the chin and jaw area are usually and most likely hormonal acne. Maybe it will die down na since you are on pills. Try using tea tree oil on your acne, or the Mario Badescu buffering lotion. Effective daw yun sa cystic acne.

Hi, gaano katagal mo na ba iniinom [textspeak!] pills? Hindi naman kasi agad agad yung results nyan. Minsan it takes months to see if hiyang ka at ang skin mo. Kung hindi ka naman talaga hiyang, 'di talaga yan eepekto sa acne mo. Minsan reverse pa nga nangyayari. Give it time muna. Pero kung di talaga nagwork [textspeak!] pills, baka kailangan mo na ng help ng derma. Ako, nagtake pa ako ng antibiotics before dahil sabi ng dati kong derma. Pero andyan pa din ang acne. Nung lumipat ako ng derma, syempre ibang approach na, nahiyang naman ako sa procedure (TCA plus topical creams) plus di ko kailangan uminom ng kung ano ano (naaawa na din kasi ako sa liver ko). Now I rarely get cystic acne and when I do, during my period na lang. Though I have to say, problem ko pa din blackheads and whiteheads.

Yung effective sa kin, Acnetrex. It's derma-prescribed and controlled yung intake. It's at P1500 for 30caps. Di kasi nawawala acne ko sa topical meds.

yung white na colgate lang sis. dun nawala yung cystic acne ko malapit sa lips ( eiw talaga! ). hindi nagwork sakin yung proactiv, maybe because sobrang tapang, namula at humapdi lang face ko dun sayang lang pera

@ herekittykitty and oshiawase - mga sis, thanks sa info about the hormonal acne. i'm taking the pills (Qlaira) for the 2nd month now. it was originally prescribed by my OB for my irregular period (inaabot kasi minsan ng 2wks yung period ko). though nabanggit nya lang din na it could help my acne. unfortunately, mukhang hindi nakakatulong sa cystic pimples ko. yung period ko lang ang naaayos nya.

@ viellemacey - thanks sa info sis about the toothpaste. yan ata yung Great Fresh Flavor (yung original variant) ng colgate. oo sis, eeeewwness talaga yung cystic acne na malapit sa lips and even yun sa chin area. ask ko lang sis, ano yung eskinol-clinda regimen na nag-work syo?

thank you sa mga sis na nagbigay ng feedback about proactiv.  buti na lang pala nagtanong muna ako before ako nag-order or bumili sa watsons. ang mahal pa mandin, kahit yung 15-day trial pack nila (P1650).

^yes sis effective naman yung eskinol-clinda toner ko but it just heals my current pimple, pero di napreprevent yung mga lumalabas pagmagkakaperiod pero that's just 1-2 small pimps kaya keri na.

share ko lang mga sis, last year i had acne problems, around september-january, di ako sanay magkapimples kaya super conscious ako, di naman marami pero one after another merong kapalit, nakakainis, I used eskinol with dalacin C & maxipeel 2, dito ko lang nabasa yun sa GT, bumili rin me differin gel kasi prescribed yun ng derma ko nung college. then my sister got irritated with my whiteheads, yun pala taba na dapat maprick kasi di sya matatanggal ng scrub lang, for the first time nagpa facial ako sa LFI nung first week of february, okay na uli skin ko, im still using eskinol with dal C. problem ko na lang mga dark spots

Mga sis, I'm starting to get depressed with my pimples. I know its mild compared to some pero yung marks na iniiwan niya talaga - super duper tagal. To the point na etong isa sa lower cheek ko, mag 4months na. And hindi siya naglilighten ah. Anyway, the thing sakin kasi, medyo maputi ako, so pag may pimple mark, angat na angat talaga. Tapos pag medyo nagheheal na, ayan nanaman, may bago nanaman. MInsan kahit super liit na bago,nangingiyak na ako kaso parang never ko na talaga nakita face ko na super kinis

Hay, kasalanan talaga to ng witch kong classmate nung college eh. Inggit kasi sakin. Aba hinawakan ng todo todo mukha ko tas sabi "sana magkapimples ka naman". Inggitera lang Pero yeah, I used to be flawless pero nung nagkapimp ako, ayun, never na nagheal entirely.

pardon the ignorance sis, may specific variant ba ng eskinol yung ginamit mo, and yung clinda ba is clindamycin solution? any particular brand of clindamycin solution that worked for you? sa ngayon kasi sis, main goal ko is sana lang mag-subside na muna itong existing cystic pimples ko kasi medyo malalaki na sila, and nakakairita na talaga.. thanks much sis!

^eskinol pimple fighting sis tapos yung clindamycin ( clinda ) is capsule not a solution. ang ginagawa ko sa 135 ml eskinol - 2 clinda ( 300mg + 150mg ) yung powder lang sis ha not the whole capsule. some sissies here use dalacin-c but thats too mahal, around php70 ( 300mg ) yata. clindamycin is the generic name of dalacin-c kaya yun na lang ginagamit ko ang its cheaper pa, 300mg is just php10 and 150mg is php8.
