Flat screen LED TV.
Fully automatic washing machine.

Our monthly bill ranges from P1100 to P1500 a month.
It's mostly the kids who uses the aircon at night for 8hrs.  Fan lang ako since I sleep alone.

Water ang mahal sa bill na binabayaran ko.  From 500pesos (in-house of developer) to 3000pesos after we switched to Maynilad.

Ngayon wala naman kami sa bahay ng 8-10 hrs ng m-f dahil asa office kami so tipid na yun haha saka sa a/c 6 hrs max ko na lang sineset tapos on na lang electric fan after. Patayin din ilaw pag di ginagamit😊

Share ko lang but this is an observation (ng isang client ko then.)  He had his newly built place insulated.  As in may insulation between the walls.  Tinted ang mga salamin but not yun hindi mo makita na ang labas.  Has lots of plants pero mostly shrubs lang sa labas (plus grass syempre.)  Its in Subic - yes, sa loob ng former base.  They do not own the land but its leased for I forgot how many years.  The thing is kahit magdamag ka mag-aircon okay lang kasi insulated siya.  The aircon is not overworked.  And we visited them for audit around summer.

LED bulbs help a lot in cutting down electricity costs.  Yun ref don't locate it sa area na mainit (syempre!)  Sa faucets get yun modern ones na of good quality.  Yun isang swing lang bukas o sarado na.  This way no one gets to overtighten it causing the seals to be mangled and leak (marami ewan ko sobrang higpit magsara ng gripo.)  And though a bit more costly ay I think it helps naman to cut down costs - yun maglagay ka ng toilet cleaner that cleans everytime you flush.  This way you do not get sick sa amoy and look ng toilet bowl mo and spend more in water, time and cleaning stuff to clean it more often.

For some reason, 7 months na kaming walang bill sa meralco. Apparently, there's a rebate. Hindi ko lang sure until when yung rebate namin.

We are moving to a new house so we designed it in such a way that we won't be fully dependent on electricity. We made our ceilings high, lots of windows and big openings that will help cut down on our need for a/cs since the place will be well-ventilated. It also helps that most of the time we get a nice breeze from the beach.

We also made sure most of our major appliances will be energy saving. We got all inverter - a/c, WM and the fridge. We also installed a solar water heater. All our lights are LED plus our fence lights are all solar-powered. Later on we plan to install solar panels that can power most of our appliances.

We invested in blockout curtains to keep the heat out.

If you can install window pelmets even better para mas efficient yung aircon. Kasi it keeps the heat from between the curtain and window from coming into the house.

Make sure your aircon is installed in a cool/shaded area. Kasi extra load for them when they are under the sun.

Hi, I need your opinion. We live in a bungalow house. 2 ACs, 3 fans, 2 ref, and the usual lights, except in my room which is LED.

My AC is used during the day for 11 hours siguro max, because I work at nights. My sister's is used during nights, siguro max is 10 hours.

Our monthly electricity bill ranges from 6.5k to 7.7k, kahit hindi pa summer time.

Is that a reasonable amount?

medyo nahihirapan kami makatipid sa kuryente ngayon kasi sobrang ineet. pag nasa bahay kami kahit sa tanghali-hapon naka A/C kami. mga 2 hrs lang naman tapos malamig na yung room so kahit e-fan na lang after.

sa paglalaba, dapat isort na ng maayos ang damit bago isalang sa washing machine para hindi ka buong araw naglalaba at nakasaksak pa din washing machine.

wag na gamitin ang microwave if pwedeng sa stove mo naman initin ang food.

alis na lang kayo ng bahay para walang makonsumong kuryente hehe

I suggest you together with your housemates to reassess whether you really need 2 running refrigerator units. Also practice being conscious on the usage of the AC units and fans na pag malamig na yung room you can turn the AC off na. I believe these simple practices will help you lower down your consumption. 

Tapos pag aralan nyo yung strategic way of lighting the rooms. Study the efficiency of your LED lights and suggest it to your housemate/s. That way makikita nila yung value so everybody happy. 

As of now ganyan ginagawa ko muna. On my own im trying to observe electricity and lights efficiency. Pagtatanggal ng plug pag di naman ginagamit ang appliance, pag patay ng ilaw and using natural light kung maliwanag naman sa labas. I'm also using solar powered electric fan so that it wont consume kuryente na. Kahit small amount lang I'm sure mababawasan ang bill namin. Pag maganda ang performance ng style ko, saka ko sya i-ppromote sa mama ko para results mismo yung makikita nya so no more appealing kontra hehe.

Next year kasi im getting married. And for sure by that time mas mataas na ang kuryente. I want to be free from the never ending price hike of these monopolizing energy companies. So ngayon pa lang.. Sinimulan ko nang mag switch to basic solar energy. Pag napag aralan ko na at nakapag ipon na ako ng pang setup, I'll switch other appliances to solar na

Thanks for the suggestion, kaso kabibili ko lang ng AC ko a year ago, and I don't have the budget for inverter ACs though I know that they're efficient. 

moiselle.sarrate, sorry, 1 ref lang pala. I had the smaller one turned-off already. Yes, all those points you have raised, I implement them on my usage. Kaya I have my own submeter sa room ko.  I almost do not open my lights sa room, only when I need to prep before going to work na, kasi I work at nights. I also remind my kids to follow what I practice since they stay at home when I am at work. That's as far as I can go, kasi sa mom ko and my siblings, which by the way I live with pa, they pay for their own usage (they have submeters din).

between me and my husband in a 5 BR house, we don't even reach the minimum usage tier in our electric bill, they even issued a credit last time  , kumita pa.  no, we don't have solar and this exact thing is what makes going solar not for us, we won't be able to recoup the cost of installation and it's a lot of money upfront.
we both work during the day so the only usage is from the ref during that time, then night time we only turn on lights needed in the specific room we're in.  we have hallways and stairs night lights/sensor lights so we don't stumble in total darkness . actually the only time we have normal electricity usage is between 6pm-10pm for dinner and watching a little TV, so the only lights on are in the kitchen family room area. lights out at 10.  i don't need lights when reading/watching/playing with my ipad.
laundry is done on saturday mornings and i hardly iron our clothes, either they're sent to the cleaners or i make sure i take them out of the dryer right away so no creases develop or hang them to dry then 10 minutes in very low heat/air dry.
and i don't unplug electronics or lamps/lights,  esp the TVs connected to satellite/dish/cable,  they reboot when unplugged.
so we don't go crazy turning on all the lights in the house,  that's all i can think of.

^I bought my own submeter sa hardware, pwede ka pumili ng digital or analog. My sister did the same, bumili nalang siya. Para lang at least ma-monitor namin yung bawat gamit namin sa room instead of reading from one meter lang, which is yung sa buong house. Mas maayos naman siya kasi we know how much we need to pay, tapos pinasosobrahan nalang namin ng konti para sa other consumptions na hindi connected dun sa submeter like lights and TV. Pinakabit lang namin sa electrician yun, directly connected dun yung AC namin, yun kasi ang gusto namin na ma-monitor talaga ang konsumo ng kuryente

may friend  ako nag shift sa inverter split type aircon. since may asthma and allergiess sila ng kid nya 11 hours everyday ang usage nila pero ang bill nya nasa 2,5k lang daw. nasabi din ng technician s kanya na ang split type mas advisable gamitin for longer hours kesa shorter kasi yung first 5 hrs daw nun parang nag stock pa lang [textspeak!] aircon ng whatever so succeeding hours hindi na malakas ang consumption. i'm planning to sell my 2 window type  ac's tapos mag split type na din...pati ref gawin ko na inverter nagbabasa basa muna ako reviews ng magandang brand.
