hi sis. we tried power saving device. its been with us for almost 6 months.  previously hindi bababa ng 1k yung bill namin pero now its ranging from 700 to 900. so i think it works. ang ginagawa nya kasi is prevent wastage of electricity. yung kahit hindi umaandar yung appliance mo may mga waste electricity kasi dun. yun ang miniminimize niya

grabe mga sis, i recently rented a studio unit in Makati for work so i'm there during weekdays and i'm home in Binan every weekend.

grabe mga sis! yung first month ko sa 22sqm studio unit, ang kuryente ko was P3,800!!! lokang-loka ako!! so what did i do? i turned off the switch for the water heater in the shower, ang lakas daw kasi sa kuryente nun. the following month, it went down to P2,900.

ang laki pa rin ng P2,900 for a 22sqm studio unit, so next thing i did was i-maintain ang AC at 21C, kasi mahilig ako sa malamig so grabe 18C ko sine-set dati yung AC. the following month it went down to P2,500. though honestly i was really puzzled pa rin kung bakit ganun kalaki kasi AC lang naman ang magastos na appliance ko (sobrang liit ng ref ko and ancient na ang TV ko), even if i use AC, that's just Mon-Fri because i'm in Binan every weekend.

anyway, dahil malaki pa rin ang P2,500 for a 22sqm studio unit, ngayon pagkagaling ko from work, bukas pa rin ang AC (kasi di ko talaga kaya nang walang AC) pero pag medyo lumamig na, pinapatay ko muna, tapos bubuksan na lang ulit kung naiinitan na ko. alternatively, you can use your AC's Eco mode pero malfunctioning kasi yung Eco mode ng AC ko. sinasanay ko na rin ang sarili ko na matulog at 23C. medyo kinekeri naman... so tignan na lang natin how much an next electric bill ko, hehe.

Sis ganyan talaga usually sa condo..commercial rate kasi sila sis.

I switched to LED lights, and as much as possible naka-off yung ilaw pag natutulog ako and pag hindi kailangan.  Pag umaga hindi ako gumagamit ng lights since may araw naman.  It really helps cut down on electricity.

One big thing din that would help lower the electric bill is instead of using yung electric pot/kettle, gumamit na lang ng vacuum ones.  Once nagpakulo ka ng water, ilagay agad sa vacuum jug/flask.  If you buy a decent one, it'll keep the water hot for days, so no need to keep on reheating it.

Lagi kasi syang wala sa bahay ngayon, so less na ang consumption sa electricity dahil sa a/c nya! Noon kasi 24/7 nakabukas yon, kahit walang tao sa room niya! Ang bait talaga grrr... Ngayon na masmalamig na ang panahon, wala na nag aaircon samin ng madalas.. pinacut na rin namin [textspeak!] Bayantel and Bayan dsl namin, so isa nalang dsl at router nalang nakasaksak. once a week nalang din kami magpalaba at plantsa,dati kasi twice a week eh... hindi ko nga alam bakit twice a week kami dati eh haha

Limit my ac use to 2-3 times a week and set the timer to 5 hrs only. We also got a new ref na i think nagpababa ng bill by 2k. Old appliances tend to consume more power kasi. We're leaving on less lights na din at night. Dati kasi andami nakabukas to ward off akyat-bahay (dami sa area namin).

Bihira na kami gumamit ng a/c kasi hindi na ganon kainit ang panahon ngayon. Hindi na din kami gumagamit ng WM lately kasi kumuha kami ng kasama sa bahay to help me out hanggat hindi pa ko magaling, kaya handwashed ngayon yung mga labahin hehe...  Nagpalit din kami ng LED lights, so i think nakatulong din yun sa pagbaba ng bill namin last month.

Naka off lahat ng lights pag gabi. Limited lang din ang pag gamit ng ac tutal malamig naman ngayon.

Nagdadaily monitoring kami ng consumption since last month. Before kami nagpalit ng inverter ref average daily consumption is from 10-13kwh including 6 hour aircon usage daily. Aside from ref, we switched to LED lights at bumili kami ng vacuum flask. From 10-13 daily naging 5-8 na lang consumption namin
namin. Last May umabot ng 425kwh electricity namin then 282 last June then July less than 200 na lang.

Be sure naka tanggal sa saksakan ang mga appliances kapag hindi ginagamit. May trickle pa rin ng power consumption kahit naka off if nakasaksak ang mga ito. Ito ang laging nakakaligtaan kahit sa bahay namin.

When I'm downloading stuff on my PC e I try as much as possible na isabay siya with other stuff like reading news or checking email or working on things, para at least sulit yung gamit sa PC habang tumatakbo yung kuryente.

always check for watts/consumption on every appliances, makikita naman sa likod ng appliances, at least namomonitor ko sino ba ang malakas at mahina.

- use led lights
- unplug all appliances (except ref) bago matulog at pag walang gumagamit.
- iron clothes at night and do iron only twice a month
- wag mag ac kung kaya
 
our electric and water bill combined last month was 2k lang. 2storey house,110lot area, 2 kids, 3 adults including yaya yan hahaha.. actually wala kami ac kasi malaming sa area namin kaya din siguro super liit ng bill.

we basically walk in the dark at night  . 
si hubs kasi very anal about electric consumption.
we installed sensor night lights sa hallways, top and bottom ng stairs.
since it doesn't get really hot where we live,  we hardly turn on the a/c,  windows are opened to let the breeze in.
and all these pay off,  our electric bill is really really low.
