Everything DIY (do-it-yourself projects)
« on: April 06, 2013, 01:23:16 pm »
ever tried something you learned on youtube or someone else's blog?
please share pics/instructions

I haven't, but I'm looking forward to make some of DIY crafts/accessories shown by the user anneorshine from youtube :)

I like anneorshine coz she's a good presenter and she can simplify instructions unlike other tutorial vids that includes several minutes of blabbering :p

i haven't tried it because i'm still debating whether or not i should get the machine but i like browsing the daily grommet. they featured a DIY letterpress pero the machine kasi is quite expensive. so i found another blog, forgot the link, that has instructions on how to build your own letterpress. mas matipid. pero not sure how to go about it. baka ipagawa ko sa tatay ko lol.

anyway, the daily grommet has a youtube channel din :)

hubby and I DIYed our wedding invites. We embossed (wet and dry), stenciled, letter pressed, cut and cropped. We looked up to YouTube for guidance.. everyone commented our invites are unique and classy.

I'll be attending a wedding next week. So, I bought some cheap shoes and embellished it with fabric flowers.
Thanks to this tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cox6Egmrg6M

Perfume Tray/Organizer
M
ini Cabinet (for accessories/medicines)

Haha
If my idea matches with yours, PERFECT! If not, RESPECT!

most of the time, I just DIY decorations sa bahay. I like having a theme kasi and its a lot lot cheaper if you do it yourself instead of buying stuff. And it lessens the clutter in my place kasi kapag may nakikita akong gustong gawing project, I just look around for embellishment (lol)

I love doing DIY projects. It's a great stress-reliever but I rarely have time nowadays to craft :(

Yup. I made a hanging shoe organizer out of a costume we used last halloween. Looks crappy but functional  ;D

Because I don't have sewing machine and I was too lazy to hand sew, I used round fasteners to fasten the parts together. They doubled as embellishments na rin.

I am addicted now sa d.i.y stuff toys and plushies. I found tutorials online for free and I rely n japanese books na may patterns but no english translation. I do manual sewing kasi maliliit lang naman mga stuff toys, and hindi pa din ako sanay sa machine namin na oldschool. Sa pinterest and google madame free d.i.y tutorials depends sa gusto nyo i-try.

I just recently finished my DIY project. I made a "shabby chic" fabric flower headband/headdress for my sister's bf's baby pamangkin! Cuteness overload! :)
