Isang magandang araw po sa inyo!
ako po ay employed members.
at akoo po ay na D&C operation last Feb. 8, 2014
pero di po ako naka pag submit ng maternity notification sa kadahilanang di ko din po alam na ako ay buntis.

makaka-avail po ba ako ng maternity pay?

ano po ang dapat ko'ng gawin?

lahat ng papers ko ngayon ay inaayos ko na din po sa tulong ng aming opisina.

hi, almamira.

if you are an employed member, you can inquire to your HR dept po regarding the notification of your D&C, as long as the procedure was attested by the physician who conducted the procedure to you. ang alam ko po kasi ang employer mo ang magsusubmit ng mga requirements mo sa SSS, and another thing is puede ka din po mag-avail ng Special Leave Benefit for Women under RA 9710. This is for women who undergo operation due to gynecological disorder, at kasama po dito ang D & C. This will entitle you to a 2mos. full pay based on your gross salary, given po na you have rendered 6 consecutive months in service sa work mo. This is mandated by our government, you can search the details of it over the net.

Ilang days ka po ba naconfine sa hospital due to you D&C?

Due date ko na sa June. Di ako nakapagbayad ng 2013, tapos ngayun babayaran ko sana yung 1st quarter ko (Jan-March) saka ako magfile MAT 1 either last week of March or 1st week of April.

Possible po ba na makakakuha ako ng maternity benefits on June? Thanks

mga sis, how much na ang updated SSS Maternity benefits natin. Diba 30k for normal and 39k for CS sa previous rates nila..since there is an increase in the premium, may naka avail na ba ng new benefit amount?

What are the qualifications for entitlement to the maternity benefit?
She has paid at least three monthly contributions within the 12-month period immediately preceding the semester of her childbirth or miscarriage.

She has given the required notification of her pregnancy through her employer if employed, or to the SSS if separated, voluntary or self-employed member.

Is the voluntary or self-employed member also entitled to the maternity benefit?
Yes, A voluntary or a self-employed member is entitled to the maternity benefit provided that she meets the qualifying conditions.

How much is the maternity benefit?
The maternity benefit is equivalent to 100 per cent of the member’s average daily salary credit multiplied by 60 days for normal delivery or miscarriage, 78 days for caesarean section delivery.

>How is the maternity benefit computed?
1.Exclude the semester of contingency (delivery or miscarriage).

    A semester refers to two consecutive quarters ending in the quarter of contingency.
    A quarter refers to three consecutive months ending March, June, September or December.

2.Count 12 months backwards starting from the month immediately before the semester of contingency.

3.Identify the six highest monthly salary credits within the 12-month period.

Monthly salary credit means the compensation base for contributions benefits related to the total earnings for the month. Please refer to the table below.

4.Add the six highest monthly salary credits to get the total monthly salary credit.

5.Divide the total monthly salary credit by 180 days to get the average daily salary credit. This is equivalent to the daily maternity allowance.

6.Multiply the daily maternity allowance by 60 (for normal delivery or miscarriage) or 78 days (for caesarean section delivery) to get the total amount of maternity benefit.


For example, let us say that an SSS member gives birth in December 2014.

a.The semester of contingency would be from July 2014 to December 2014

b.The 12-month period before the semester of contingency would be from July 2013 to June 2014

c.Let us assume that the six highest monthly salary credits are P15,000 each. Thus, the total monthly salary credit would be P90,000 (P15, 000 x 6).

d.The daily maternity allowance would be P500 (P90,000/180).

e.The total maternity benefit due would be P30, 000 (P500 x 60 days) for normal delivery or P39,000 (P500 x 78) for caesarian cases.

Hello sis, ito ang alam ko. Ito yung inemail sakin ng HR namin yesterday eh. based ito sa computation na: 14,750 - O V E R 15,000

60 DAYS COVERAGE FOR NORMAL      PHP   32,000.00
78  DAYS COVERAGE FOR CS      PHP   41,600.00

Galing sss si MIL the other day, not sure if anong sinadya niya doon but nag inquire siya how much pwede ko makuha sa amount na hinuhulog ko voluntarily. Sabi niya around 30k nga daw, so ituloy ko daw paghulog pero tinamad na ako and hindi narin mahahabol kasi anong petsa na. Nagkaroon kasi ng gap hulog ko nagpunta ako sa office nila ng Saturday eh due date ng contribution ko hindi pala sila nag accept ng payment doon. After that hindi ko na itinuloy.

sis kailan [textspeak!] last na hulog mo sa sss? ako kasi last na hulog ko is 2011 or 2010 yata. then after that nung oct-dec lang ako naghulog ulit for voluntary naman para lang maka claim ng maternity. sayang naman sis.

The only next step to do is claim your benefit with the printed email attached to MAT2 form and your child's birth certificate.

I just want to know if anybody has done the same thing and got their maternity benefit?

Di ko marecall sis if saan ko nabasa pero same ang pagkakaalam ko no need na pumunta sa kanila to file again, kapag magclaim na lang kaya nga mas okay kasi di mo na need iprovide agad mga attachment/requirements kapag mag apply ka mismo sa branch nila.

sis vanikki, ang paid maternity leave ng company nyo ay nakalink na sa SSS..sinasabi na 2 months paid yun kasi ang days covered ng maternity benefit for normal delivery is 60days..and for CS naman is 78days..usually, ang maximum payment na binibigay ng SSS alone sa beneficiary is 30k only (15k x 6mos/180days x 60days) yun ay kung pasok ka sa maximum bracket na P15k where ang ceiling ng sahod mo is P14,750 - O V E R P15,000..pero kung ang more than 15k ang gross basic salary mo a  month, ang company na ang magbabayad sayo nun ( say: 20k monthly salary mo..15k ang ikicredit ni SSS sa ceiling nila..yung excess na 5k, si company nyo naman ang magbabayad) may additional pay naman sayo si company na 10k (5k x 6mos/180days x 60days) so bale 40k ang maternity mo..(kung normal delivery ka..at mas malaki naman ang makukuha mo pag CS ka, since 78days ang credited leave days ng CS..

depende din sa company nyo yung pay-out nun..pero as mandated ng SSS, iaadvance dapat ng company yung maternity benefit sayo at irereimburse na lang yung ni company kay SSS..sa case ko kasi, inadvance ni company ko yung mat ben ko, 2 weeks after i deliver my baby through CS..pero may mga nabasa ako sa ibang forum regarding SSS mat ben, na yung ibang company ng involved beneficiary is half lang ang binigay muna sa kanila..tapos nung nakabalik na sila sa work, saka na binigay sa kanila yung other half..

share ko lang, nakuha ko na check ko for maternity claim (miscarriage). Nagfile ako ng MAT2 nung May 28 then naapproved yung check nung June 27 ,BTW self-employed ako. Sabi ko sa sss pipick upin ko na lang sa post office kasi kung hihintayin ko sa bahay namin  eh baka walang makatanggap kasi lagi walang tao pati landlady namin laging wala. So punta ako sa SSS Main office sa east avenue para hingiin ang registry number which is kailangan ipakita sa Post Office quezon city. Pag punta ko sa post office quezon city nung july 7 ang sabi sakin nasa Pasay central post office kaya doon naman ako sunod nagpunta at yun nakuha ko din sya same day. kapagod nga lang kasi from quezon city to pasay byahe ko.. pero ayos na din kasi pera din un eh. mabilis talaga ang proseso kapag SE ka kesa sa employed IMO hihi

Sis I did. I claimed for my daughter who is 6 years old now. I was meaning to reply to you pero kasi i can't recall na exactly what documents were needed. I feel useless, haha. I also googled pero walang useful info. I wished I blogged about it. haaayz. anyway, basta I had my last company in the PH prepare everything for me and my MIL to process in my behalf. The best that I can suggest you to do is e-mail SSS. they are very responsive so I'm sure you'll get what you need in no time.
