regarding SSS maternity pay (thread 5)

Hindi pa ako nakapagfile ng MAT 2 ko.
Last year (June) nag-adjust ako ng contribution ko (at hindi ko alam na preggy na ako non.) Non nagconfirm ako sa SSS Binan ng MAT1 ko (kase sa online ko isinubmit) naquestion yong contri ko. From employed to voluntary to OFW kase status ko. Naquestion yong contri ko kc OFW na ako ng 2010 pero minimum pa rin contri ko (voluntary stat ako that time). Last June 2012 nga nagdeclare ako as OFW at maximum contri. Ang advise sakin ng head ng SSS branch eh, i-settle ko muna yong underpayment ko before ako magpasa ng MAT2. Around 22-23k ang kailangan kong bayaran (more than 30mos times P1248). At hindi basta basta pwedeng bayaran, dapat hintayin ko ang letter of computation from them eh more than 6mos. na wala pa rin yong letter. Hays. Kay tagal.

Kahit yong SS ID ko wala pa rin.

Hi. Nagregister ako sa sss online. And pag cnclick ko yung button na maternity benefit, ang lumalabas ay "member has no maternity benefits". Pero pag click ko naman dun sa eligibilty and naenter ko na yung edd ko, lumalabas naman yung total na makukuha ko. Bakit po ganun? Di ko lang po gets..medyo worried na walang benefit na makuha.. sis eleithyia - mas ok nga magpaID pag preggy kasi nasa courtesy lane. I lost my ID and last April lang ako kumuha ulit. 730AM na ko dumating sa SSS pero ako unang-una sa mga magpapaID kasi dun ako pumila kasama ng senior citizens. Haha!

Dapat may contribution atleast 3mos ata na within a year bago manganak. I strongly suggest magregister sa website nila kasi lahat ng details makikita mo na dun.

^^ is this your first time filing for a maternity benefit? I believe yung pagfile ng MAT1 under Maternity Notification tab makikita. Then pag nagfile na ng MAT2 saka magaappear sa Maternity Benefit. Kung MAT2 yung nafile mu sis give it time. Ako kasi 1week after ko ifile yung MAT2 saka nagappear sa Maternity Benefit.

the company is required to release the maternity benefit of sss within 30 days from the date of filing of mat2. ako, i had to wait din na ipasok siya sa payout date namin.

ideally, you have to have your ultrasound as soon as possible.

Is it necessary to notify the SSS of a member's pregnancy?
Yes. As soon as a member becomes pregnant, she must immediately notify her employer (if employed) or the SSS (if separated/voluntary/self-employed) of such pregnancy and the probable date of her childbirth at least 60 days from the date of conception by accomplishing SSS FORM MAT-1 (Maternity Notification Form) and by submitting proof of pregnancy. (i guess this can also mean yung TVS ultrasound, kahit na wala pang makita, as long as may sac, they will accept na.)

The employer must, in turn, notify the SSS through the submission of the maternity notification form and proof of pregnancy immediately after the receipt of the notification from the employee member.

Failure to observe the rule on notification may result to the denial of the maternity claim.

Hi girls! Wala talaga ako kaalam alam sa maternity benefits ng sss, kung hindi pa sa pagbabasa ko ng threads dito I wouldnt have thought about filing to claim my sss benefit. Kakaresign ko lang sa first job ko last February 9, 2013. 1 yr and 7 mos din ako sa company na yun and that was my first job. EDD ko is October 19, Im currently unemployed and on my 25th week of pregnancy. Mga sis, pwede pa ba ako magfile? And qualified kaya ako? Pls help. Hi! Need help please. I left working in a private company last Jan 2012. From that time on, wala ako contribution sa SSS. Wanting to do voluntary contribution but hindi ko pa nasimulan then I found out I am pregnant. If I start next month, 10th kasi and due ng number ko sa SSS, will I still be entitled? Early pregnancy pa lang, mga 6 weeks pa lang ako.

^ yes, you can still be entitled provided you have at least 3 contributions within a year before your semester of contingency.

i assume, feb ang due date mo. if so, pwede mo pang habuling bayaran ang july-sept contri to be eligible dun sa benefit. i-maximize mo na lang yung contri mo. P1,560 every month.

 pag nagawa mo yun, makakakuha ka pa ng up to P15k.

but 1st, file ka muna ng MAT 1

Mga sis, share ko lang, Galing ako SSS kanina. Napasa ko na Mat1 form ko. Mabilis naman kasi nasa priority lane ako. Sarap talaga pag buntis! Hahaha. Anyway, ayun dapat kukuha ako ng SSS Id kaso kasi kakasal ako next month, pag kumuha ako ngaun inconvenient kasi magchchange na din ako ng last name ko. Good to know na 30k makukuha ko pag normal and 39k pag CS. Separated from employment kasi ako ngayon. Required docs na lang for Mat2 [textspeak!] COE and form L501 plus [textspeak!] iba like birth certificate.
