Credit card inquiries, rants and raves - Thread 4

Locked na yung Thread 3 – so let’s continue our discussion here sisses.

Link to the previous thread:
http://www.femalenetwork.com/girltalk/index.php/topic,232391.0.html

To answer sis crazycoolchic19’s question (hanging question sa thread 3) well, ang intindi ko sa question mo sis is kung pwede ba ibalik yung item na nacharge mo sa CC mo?

Sa SM Department store ka ba nagpurchase? If yes, just present your official receipt (yung from SM) sa customer service, dun sa section ng return. Itatanong nila bakit mo papapalitan, isip ka na lang ng reason why you are returning the item. Alam ko, within 30 days from date of purchase yung return policy. Then from there, iisuehan ka nila ng another receipt (which corresponds sa amount ng item na nireturn mo) na pwede mo gamitin within the day only to purchase ANY item basta within Department store lang.

If you are concerned paano yung nacharge sa CC mo, well the answer is wala naman yun effect dun. Return policy is between customer and merchant naman and the credit card company has nothing to do with it so nothing to worry.

While I appreciate RCBC for increasing my credit limit to 200k without me requesting for it, I don't like the fact that they have limited partners na stores. For instance, we were in Cyberzone in SM Megamall because I wanted to buy my mom new Samsung phone nung Mother's Day, walang store dun that offers 12 months 0% for Bankard. As in nag ikot kami at puro straight payment. Someone at Samsung advised me to call their hotline pa to convert it to installment. I thought naman na it would be a favorable thing for their clients kasi dba may patong na 1k-2k sa stores pag gawing installment. Hala when I called their hotline, 6k yung lumalabas na interest. I should have used another credit card. So I took advantage na lang of their 0% 3 months promo. Although the good thing naman is I can do that as well for the tuition fee I paid kanina, pwede ko daw gawing 0% 3 months installment.

But still for expensive gadgets and appliances, better use another credit card na lang kasi sobrang taas ng interest nila.

I want to rave about Citibank about my experience today.

They offered to replace my lost card for free! No charge ng Php400! No spending requirement eklavu!

Last time kasi when I lost my Citi Rustan's Gold (where nakakuha ko ng cheap Longchamp bag) pina-cut ko na din nung nawala kesa magbayad ako ng Php400 sa kanila for the replacement card. Tapos nag-apply na lang ako ulit ng Rewards Card which is so easy naman. Ngayon itong rewards card naman ang nawala. Nanghihinayang ako sa rebates ko at sa free movies na na-accumulate ko pero Php400 is still cash so itinawag ko kanina para ipacut na.

I was surprised when they offered me to have it replaced for free wag ko lang ipa-cut.
Wala naman akong problem ngayon sa CB unlike dati. so I said GOW!

@charmedwitch776,Is paylite same as cash2go? Or did your account go in default then they offered paylite? If it is the latter, I don't think they would still activate it.

Citibank keeps on calling me, telling me I can avail of their personal loan at only 0.79%.  I have used this facility before and it is very helpful specially when you need the cash kagad.  Kaya lang when I told them I didn't need to avail of the personal loan, they kept on insisting.

^ eto ba sis ay replacement card or new card?

Nangyari din kasi sakin yan Metrobank din ako eh. QC pinapadala yung bills ko. na-badtrip ako di ko napansin expired na card ko ni wala akong nakuhang replacement at all e a month after na ng expiration date. Usually, actually a month before mag-expire yung cc may replacement na na pinadala. Aba wala! Ni ho ni ha wala as in e 1 month na pala expired yung card ko.

(Pasalamat sila wala akong time tumawag etc).

Ano ba maganda? BPI cc ok ba?

What I like about BPI is they have lower exchange rates compared to other credit cards.
If you plan to buy anything online in USD (example Amazon) or if you're out of the country and you have to purchase something through card, use your BPI CC.

When I went to Europe last month, my friend and I bought something at the same store, same day. I used BPI, she used Citibank. When it was reflected in our statements BPI's rate was 1 euro = Php59 while Citibank is Php60.

I have Visa and Mastercard sa kanila. Yung Mastercard full annual fee waived, yung visa half lang daw, e dati naman full yun.

Icacancel ko nalan kasi kung ayaw nila mag waive in full.

wala akong utang sa cards ko and good payer talaga ako kaya naiinis ako ayaw nila mag waive in full.

i have two cards sa kanila, Mastercard Gold and Visa Card yung parang silver ang kulay or gray yata yun.

Yung mastercard they always waive in full while the Visa card half lang daw.
