Chef V sent me an email last night. I have not emailed my concern yet with my AE but I guess word of mouth is very strong thus it easily reached their attention about the concern of PD brides regarding the December 30 wedding. I think it is a good thing that issues like this reach the concerned suppliers aside sa fact na naeexplain nila ang side nila nalalaman din nila ang mga feedback sa kanila good or bad and eventually improve on areas needed. I must say I commend them for taking the time to reach out to me and explain their side. At least now malinaw ang ngyari. Medyo nakaka sad nga at mga staff pala talaga na nasaktan and it's a good thing that the wedding still pushed through. I still believe that PD would do a great job on my wedding. They really have the potential to be a great caterer. Let us give them a chance and tell them exactly what we want to happen. The more kasi na iniisip ko lalo lang ako nakakaattract ng bad vibes and baka lalo pa magka tototo ang mga ayaw ko mgyari..hahaha

"Hi Ms. Lovely how are you? Happy new year. This is Velmor of Purple Dish.

I was informed by my staff re the post from girl talk forum re our event last dec 30 2014. It already circulated to different blogs and forums that our lunch wedding didn't push thru because of vehicular accident that involves our truck.

Just want to set the record straight and I don't want you and other brides to get worried with their upcoming events.

Our truck that carries our 18 employees (event officer, waiters and stylist) had a vehicular accident last dec 30 2014 at around 5:45 am near Sky ranch area tagaytay. 7 of our waiters were rushed to the hospital with cuts, bruises and broken bones. Unfortunately, our event officer, Ms. Annie suffered multiple injuries & she's critical that time (as of this time, she's stable and she undergo 3 major surgical procedures to reconstruct her leg and face.)

With minor scratches and cuts, the remaining staffs (6 waiters & stylist) went straight to Rosemont Garden venue. Our truck that carries all tables and chairs are already waiting at the venue. I stopped them not to go and join the other staffs to the hospital coz our back up team will handle the event but still they insist & they can work pa daw kasi Baka ma-late if we're going to wait for the back up team.

When our back up and kitchen team arrived at the venue, setup is done and as if nothing happened.

Coordinators and our team agreed not to inform the couple what happen to our staffs. They just found out the next day. All our co-suppliers help us with the setup. It's a collaborative effort.

With this false information (again) circulating around, I feel bad to all our co-suppliers who help us esp to my staffs inspite of bukol sa face and cuts...nag serve pa rin....and it's a successful event by the way :)

I asked the couple if we can share to other couples what happen to their wedding and post the pictures of the reception.

Don't worry ms. Lovely everything's gonna be ok on your event. If you received or read any bad feedbacks or comments about us, it's better to ask us. Theirs always to sides of the story. I'm not saying we're a perfect caterer coz theirs none...even TOP caterers had worse experiences and luckily it didn't happen to us. We will do our job whatever it takes :)

Thanks and see you soon."

Oo nga sis.. Naloka ako yung AE e sinurgery sa face and legs so medyo matindi talaga siguro ngyari.

a supplier-friend of mine got married 3 years ago at ito na ang problema nila kay PD, bakit hanggang ngayon preoblema pa din? my Jan 10 bride was the 1st bookef for Jan 10. PD said he'll be there sa event. wala naman. and waiters/AE said nanghiram lang sila ng gamit sa iba para sa Jan 10 wedding namin. So anong basehan?

Hi! I'm a Jan. 10 bride and I was very very disappointed with EVERYTHING except the cake. Even how the staff responded to our feedback is disappointing. I feel that it's about time this gets addressed to avoid future victims. Kawawa naman ang couples who use their hard-earned money for their wedding. All the concerns raised above are real. Will provide more detailed feedback on this.

hays.. this is sad, the reason why i booked PD right away even if hindi pa kami nakapag FT dahil sa mga nabasa kong good reviews sakanila but then eto na super dami ng negative reviews and now i have decided na mag change nalang ng caterer, I don't want to risk because it's a once in a lifetime event diba.

We had our second food tasting yesterday and im really disappointed. Our schedule is 4pm, we waited for almost an hour before the food arrived. If it was our first FT, we wont booked them. The food doesnt taste good unlike our first FT last year.  The 2nd food tasting was supposed to be for the couple to taste their other menus but most of the food that they served are the same menus we had last year. I told to our AE my observations including negative reviews here.

Hello,

After reading all the recent reviews here, i immediately emailed Shayne my AE about this, my wedding will be on Oct and we booked them because of the good reviews and now... gosh! I emailed Shayne and inform them about this negative feedbacks and inform them that they should improve if they really want to stay in the business.

Any recent PD brides here? please share your experience/s.

I had my wedding done with PD 2 weeks ago. Even before the wedding ang hirap na makipag-communicate sa kanila. We had final FT and detailing at the same time kasi we are overseas couple. (first FT is done by my SIL) magulo sila kausap, take note kasama ko pa coordinator ko nun. we had our final FT along with other couples na potential customer pa lang, kaya hindi nila kami masyado nabigyan ng time. (maybe because fully paid na kami? haha I don’t know)
the AEs when we asked them about styling, they can't give specific answers. they would always say, “itatanong ko po sa stylento”. we wanted to get another stylist kasi for our backdrops, VIP table styling, etc and we wanted to offset sana, pero hindi nga nila alam equivalent nun kapag sa iba mo kukunin. we wanted sana additional food na lang in exchange of the things we will source out, pero wala kami nakuha definite na sagot. in the end, no choice na lang kaya nauwi din kami lahat sa stylento. I had no problem naman re: styling kasi I’m not too fussy about it.
we had the first & final serious meeting that's just us, my coordinator & the AE just 3days before the wedding, o diba? sobrang last minute. dun lang kami nakapagbrainstorm re: floor plan ng venue, style details etc.

my concerns came out the wedding day. My MIL & SIL were not served dinner in the same time as with the other VIPs in their table, nakakain na lahat nun VIP s table nila. so ang nangyari nauna pa nila nakain ang dessert bago main dish. we were at the stage and we witnessed how many times nag-follow up yung SIL ko sa main dish nila.
the supposed brewed coffee were not brewed at all! my SIL said it sure tasted just like 3-in-1. Maybe they thought we couldn't tell the difference. she even had to tell the waiter to ask the guests/VIPs if they wanted coffee kasi nafeel nya walang initiative yung waiter and not all guests naman knew that there's coffee for them.
i sent a peg for the cake pero sobrang layo. I even asked the AE 3x about it and she assured me makukuha yun. pero NO, mukha lang siyang sponge cake na pinahiran ng icing, maybe because freebie lang kaya hindi na sila nag-effort. kahiya hiya yung cake na yun. I don't even want to remember it.

we supposed to have after party, pero after magconclude ng emcee, around 930pm naturally some of the guests left na especially our VIPs, which is understandable dahil may mga edad na naman. but nagulat na lang kami nagliligpit na ang PD. My coordinator asked the PD representative bakit nagliligpit na. and they said dahil hanggang 10PM lang daw reservation. Take note: kumakanta pa ang band namin and most of our friends stayed dahil nga my mobile bar pa kami for the supposed after party event., may nagsasayaw pa pero sila tuloy lang sa ligpit. nakakabastos diba? ang dami tuloy nagtanong sa amin hanggang what time ang reservation.
Yung venue namin, one event per day sila. so we can stay up until 2am. I dont know saan nila nakuha ang 10PM deadline. My coordinator later found out na may hinahabol daw 11am event the next day. (so what diba?!)

the band finished their set na nakaligpit na lahat and buti na lang our L&S stayed up until maubos namin drinks sa mobile bar, so kahit paano may music kami,

Im just thankful na mabait lahat ng guests namin kaya naoverlook na lang yun flaws na yun. and we were so happy that time that we refused to let those things ruin the night.

yung coordinator ko ang galit na galit, binash nya sa FB page nya, along with pictures as proofs.

Sis alex212, thanks for sharing your reviews about PD.

At least now you are happily married to your hubby :) congratulations btw!!

I have hope for them before lalo na after FT kasi masarap food nila kaso lang 3 months without answering my emails is too much. I never have  second thoughts of letting them go. I don't care about the down payment kung katumbas naman nun eh makakatulog ako ng maayos. Funny thing is after I send an email to them na i will cancel my reservation. biglang reply agad. I think the owner kasi have so many business ventures kaya hindi sha maka focus sa isa.

@mamey kasama sa binabayaran at criteria ko ang customer service ng suppliers na ibbook ko. so kung unresponsive ang supplier, I look somewhere else. I would say hindi mo kawalan, at kawalan nila ang pag cancel mo ng reservation. Good choice. :)

@shrek, bro, nakausap nyo na ba sila about all these negative feedbacks?

Actually when I send an email to them, hindi ko na minention yung reason basta sinabi ko nalang i want to cancel.

nagka-issue na PD and coordinator ko now, ayoko na sana madamay. My future event pa naman sila together. My coordinator sent me screenshot message from chef V to Miss Benz (of WAW) regarding pictures uploaded on FB (inacccurate information daw according to chef V). He is claiming he was there at our event but no one saw him. He was saying it was my husband who gave go signal para magligpit na dahil we are afraid daw of additional charge pag nag-overstay kami (but everyone knew egress is up until 2AM), I bet that's what they will tell you if you ask them. When we were at the final FT kasi some couple raised concerns about their negative feedbacks, of course he has his answers ready and he would say there are always two sides of the story.

I am not here to bash or create negative image for them, I just did my reviews and I want to warn future brides, esp those who are already booked with them, to avoid these things if you can. discuss every single detail.

I've said my piece so it's up to you guys. As for me, it was not all bad with PD, in fairness to them the food & styling were great, our wedding is over and it was a very happy event for us :)
