My fiancee and I booked with Purpledish yesterday.  We felt that among all caterers we've had food tastings with, it was PD that made considerable effort in putting their best foot forward.  (But to be fair to other caterers, their FTs were free, unlike PD.)

Up to the moment when the appetizers were served, I was still entertaining the idea of getting more budget-friendly and reputable caterers like Quido's or Ma Del's because we really wanted to keep within the P100,000 limit as much as possible. But when the first vegetable roll entered my mouth, I slowly began to abandon the idea.  At the end of it, we could not think of any reason why we should not book PD. 

It also helped that Chef Velmor himself was there to interact with all the food tasters.  He seemed a pretty hands-on guy and we felt assured that the quality of the food will be the same at the event itself.  Plus, they gave a considerable discount and freebies on-the-spot.

Purpledish is also the first major supplier we've booked (yehey!)  It will be a bit sad to delete all the charts I've made comparing the inclusions and rates of all the caterers I've researched, but then I'm also glad that we're now free to concentrate on other prospective suppliers.

I had a chance to attend "I Do" launching last Aug. 20 and sponsor ang PD. Ang sarap ng food as in. I am thinking to book them also on my wedding. Hopefully pasok sa budget ko ang rate.

I fell in love with their avocado rolls and pumpkin bisque soup! Recommended Purpledish to my colleagues who are getting married. Thumbs up for this caterer!

Haay salamat.  Medyo napapanatag ang loob nmin dahil sa mga ganyang feedback.  We booked them on our wedding and same comment dn.  Sarap ng food during he FT specially yung french onion, slow roast, eggplant parmegiana and honey glazed spare ribs.  We hope that maging consistent sila and ma improve yung styling.

May mga nababasa kasi akong negative feedback sa kanila with regards to styling and some foods.

We also booked PD last June 2013 pa. Ang saya naman ng freebies nila ngayon! Nagustuhan namin yun package nila kasi tempting yun dessert bar saka yun hors d' ouevres nila. Sa food naman, the best yun slow roast beef ni Chef V. Im not fond eating eggplant pero napakain ako dahil sa eggplant parmigiana nila. I also liked the asparagus wrapped in bacon! Sa dishes naman, gusto ko yun honey glazed spareribs nila.

We had our detailing meeting with PD. we pushed to meet them early para pagdating sa Final FT this October, ma-finalize na namin ang menu and the reception styling. Comment ko lang is limited ang colors ng table cloth to white, cream, beige and black. i was asking baka pwede mag-add sila ng silver table cloth or purple runners. Sabi sa akin, they will check daw but cannot guarantee. sana makuha nila ang mga guest table and VIP table pegs ko without having to add extra.

Good luck to those who got PD as their wedding supplier. We hope you'll have a better experience with them than we did. We were truly disappointed with their service during our wedding just last Oct 5, 2014. They appeared to be very easy to work with during the wedding preps, food tasting and detailing. Unfortunately, come wedding day they just had too many booboos, too many (major) mistakes that we cannot just let it pass and we are even demanding for a refund now. Some of them are the following:

(1) Food shortage - we paid for about 250 guests but only about 210 came to eat during the reception and yet there was food shortage. They said they will provide buffers for 20-30 guests more than what we paid for, so supposedly there should have been enough food to feed 270-280 guests, but NO. A LOT of our guests (perhaps 3-4 tables) were not able to eat a decent meal. Guests had to be shooed away to the other buffet table to get food but only to find out that there isn't any more either. The VIPs were not served all of the dishes either. Even water for guests was lacking! We are demanding for a refund but we haven't gotten a reply from them yet.

(2) Late setup - our reception was during lunch and their setup did not finish on time. Had our wedding ceremony ended earlier for the reception, some guest tables and VIP tables would not have been put up yet.

(3) Poor coordination between waiters - some were just lounging around, appeared to not know what they should do. Our OTD coordinators had to serve water/drinks to guests. VIP tables (30 guests) were undermanned so VIPs had to wait a long time before their food was served to them.

(4) Quality of food - the food that you tried during food tasting is SO much better (and warmer!). They served cold food and some of the dishes tasted... blah.

And again, these are just some of our complaints from a very long list. If you already booked them, I hope you watch out for these... Good luck!!!

@tweesha- oh no! really? 210 came to eat altogether out of 250 tapos hindi enough? at first round pa lang ba yun? its really oh my!  Hindi ba sila late kaya naubusan? kasi others can come back e.. PD brides any reviews or advise panu maiwasan, knowing nag allot pa siya ng extra?

Same feedback for our wedding, mas masarap ang food during the ft kesa sa actual especially ang dessert na super nagustuhan ko nung FT. And comment din malamig daw ang food I'm not sure lang baka naman dahil tagaytay and outdoor ang reception namin. Di namin na-experience magkaubusan ng food although I've read lots of feedback/review na madalas mangayari sa PD yun, what I did as in tinutukan ko ang PD parang spoonfeeding to ensure lang na m-avoid ganun error sa wedding namin eben sa styling. I reminded them din so many times abot sa call time, they can't be late since out of town wedding and meron kami mga DIYs. Overall ok naman performance ng PD kaya I gave them fair rating naman based sa performance nila sa wedding namin despite sa madaming negative reviews about them.

kung tutuusin ang mahal ng PD so we deserve only the best. di ba? sa caterer pa naman ako nag invest ng husto dahil ayokong puchu puchu lang ang food. haaay sana talaga magawan ng paraan ng PD.

Oo nga.  Medyo alarming nga ang feedback.  Kinabahan na naman kami.  Haay.  Ang magagawa na lang siguro natin mga future PD bride/groom is to list down all the comments and provide them the feedback para maensure na di mangyari sa tin.  Hope all is well sa ating mga future PD bride and groom.

Mga sis work with them closely lang and be very specific when giving instructions. Ako since madami ako nabasa negative reviews about them before pero di na namin afford mag back-out naging very OC talaga ako sa kanila. Even sa uniform ng waiter na ayoko may muka madungis at chika chika lang sa tabi etc. Thank God nairaos naman wedding namin ng maayos and wala sila major kapalpakan, di naman nangyari samin na-experience ng ibang brides na nagbigay ng negative feedbacks sa kanila. Happy preps mga sis and pray lang din magiging ok naman din si PD

Graduate na kami mga sis! PD performed well during our wedding. All bilins were well noted and followed naman. We advised our coordinators na tutukan sila ng husto and remind them of all our bilins on the day. Food was ok din! We asked our guests and they enjoyed the food, yun nga lang the fish serving was maliit daw. But overall, everyone enjoyed the food especially the desserts. And the kids super liked our sweets booth c/o PD.

I hope maging ok din si PD during your turn. Btw they have a new AE. At least may kasama na si Ms Shayne.
