^ candy buffet lang yung freebie. honestly, di ako masyadong na-excite sa freebie. sabi nung napagtanungan ko na guy na july din daw ang launching ng blu plate pero wala pa raw silang details. Ang nasabi sa akin around baka 600/plate yun.

Pushing my luck hehe I asked if pwede i-offset yung OOT sa candy dish, di daw pwede. At di rin pwede magdowngrade to blue plate once booked ka na sa PD.

Hi mga sis!

I attended my friend's wedding last Saturday and she had a dessert bar from Purpledish, which she won during the W@W auction. And true nga, nagkaubusan sa desserts! As in pinagkaguluhan ng mga tao. Siguro mga 10 mins ako nagsusubok na makasingit para kumuha ng desserts eh. Yung isa ko namang friend, di na talaga nakakain.

Kaya worried din ako na baka kulangin talaga desserts namin.

medyo worried din kami ni h2b dahil sa ubusan ng food kay PD. yung desserts medyo acceptable yun eh kasi may mga guests talaga na sobra sobra sa desserts pero yung main dish medyo natakot ako dun. napapaisip tuloy kami sa kanila.

I was one of the lucky brides who got the 30% promo. without this, i might not have a LED wall and stage

eto pinaka RAVE!!!! I got Gideon Hermosa to do the styling  the budget for the caterer i got through the PD discount, nalagay ko for LED wall and upgrading of table centerpieces with Gids.

If I only have lots of money, I'll pay Gids MOOOOREEE than what I paid him kaso wala akong money hehe. GANON SIYA KA WORTH IT. KAya nung nagBoracay si Gids nagkataon andon siya while andun kami (we went there days after the wedding). hinanap ko siya talaga and binigyan ko siya ng BONGGANG BONNGANG booking sa Spa sa Bora. 

Super Steal talaga yon where if not for Chef I wont have Gids to do the styling.. he's really mabait and generous despite some issues kung bakit nadisontinue yung partnership nila ni Chef

^ i have no idea theres this 1 pork dish ni chef na super sarap. creamy dory pork something super tempted to add it but hubby said wag na because iba pa din ang lechon. so wala kaming pork dish kay chef.

walang soft desserts si chef.. except creme bulee. puro cakes and pastries fruits naman naka segregate na sa glasses. unlike other caterers, assorted fruits are in a big plate with big slices.

@jazzlawyer: kay Aiza yun. Around 150 guests rin siya and may mga desserts naman yung caterer niya pero naubos talaga yung desserts! Actually nag-add ako ng candy buffet, although good for 50 pax lang siya.

Nakukulangan rin ako sa 4 dishes sa totoo lang eh. Iniisip ko na ang kunin namin food ay beef, pork, chicken, at fish tapos mag-add na lang kami ng pasta para mas makamura. Ganun ba yung system dun? Sabi kasi sa package 40 pesos additional ng pasta, so ibig sabihin ba nun 40 pesos per head yung pasta? Or okay ba mag-add ng lechon na lang? Namamahalan rin kasi ako sa lechon eh. Baka pwedeng hiritan na lang si chef na ilibre na lang yung pasta dish! hahaha

si RoyalWeddingFavors! same tayo. si h2b nga nag iisip na uli mag FT sa iba para daw if hindi mag improve yung sevice nila eh may mapili pa na iba. kahit daw iletgo namin yung dp. very important kasi sa min yung food na dapat di magkaubusan. kasi lahat ng guests namin dadayo pa ng tagaytay so not worth it na magutom sila. haysss

Will finally get to see how PD works on the spot this sunday. Sana hindi ako mapahiya since I reco PD
to my friend (bride) this wedding is coming from a NON OC bride, my friend had her final detailing just
last sunday. Promise ako ang nasstress for her LOL!

share ko lang din yun FT namin with PD last Sat. ayun nakwento ni chef yun sa case ni sis. alam ko na sya yun kasi sabi nya "the event happened at Elements" lol.

anyway, ang explanation ni chef e, di naman daw naubusan but na-late lang ng refill kasi daw yun sistema nila is dadalhin yata yun buong dish plates unlike sa iba na binubuhos yun refill. e mainit daw so di agad maalis then malayo yun pantry. pero nun narefill naman daw e sinabihan naman daw mga guests na bumalik.

bottomline sabi ni chef, di daw mauubusan ng main dish.

sa FT namin nasarapan ako sa salmon and prawn thermidor pero both are upgraded. haha! tapos yun cirkulo tofu 2.0 winner din! ang di ko lang masyado bet e yun mga desserts nya. maybe because i bake din kasi hehe or baka sadyang busog na kasi talaga ako. pero yun devil's food cake lang yun pinakanagustuhan ko that night. next is yun vien canoli kasi sakto lang ang timpla for me.

yun current rates ni chef e until July 26 na lang daw. kasi sa bridal fair yun new rates na. pero upgraded na rin ang menu like yun ngayon daw na pass around for cocktails e magiging buffet na din. then may mga dish sa PD menu ngayon na malilipat na sa BLU PLATE since american yun concept nun.

overall busog kami at eto yun pinakamatagal na food tasting na naattendan namin tapos may pa-take out pa! haha!

Finally saw Pdish in action yesterday, I even chatted with Chef V for a few mins

Anyway looks like they've learned their lesson from our sis here. The desserts station is manned already.
You can't blame the guests, the setup was really an eyecandy! yun nga lang dko mashado nagustuhan yung mga
desserts eh: the chocolate cake was super bland as in wala ako malasa chocolate eh, the creme brulee has burnt sugar,
cream puff wasn't good at all. I only like 1 dessert which is the white cake, don't know what is called though.

For Starters, man it is really overflowing. I don't know if that's in a good way but it is so filling that I almost no room for the main dishes. We had the circulo tofu, bacon asparagus wrap and 1 more.

For mains, I guess my friend is at fault here. Puro 'saucy' dishes yung napil niya: Pork Borguignon, Chicken roulade,
Something with squid & anchovy & lastly: Roast beef. Naumay na ako so I wasn't able to finish.
Ang nagustuhan ko lang is the roast beef, it is so tender.

Setup wise I guess ok naman siya, I don't blame PD as the bride is more of a bahala na person.

Thank you sisses for sharing your reviews/experiences with PD. medyo bothered din kasi ako sa ibang negative comments sa kanila and we're overseas so wala pa kami masyado napagusapan about sa menu and set-up. Ok lang na di perfect sila as long as they keep on improving

so glad for the positive review! nagself doubt na rin ako if we made the right choice. hinihintay ko na lang yung menu for blue plates kung tama ba na nagbook na kami ng PD nang di naghihintay.

Confirm ko lang kung palagi bang may 10-30% discount if you book on the spot sa food tasting with PD?
I really want them sana pero hahanap pa ako accredited venues nila. Tapos, how much dapat ang dp pag sa food tasting ng book? :p

Btw, palagi rin bang waived yung SC and Vat pag 150 guests? Laking tulong rin nun sa budget ha

i forgot kung magkano ang dp. but yes, waived ang SC at VAT for 150pax and up.
