Hi sis michvill! I'm a Glass Garden Bride. Just got married last Dec 8, 2012. From experience, when I would tell people that our reception would be at The Glass Garden, their reply would be "wow, mahal".

But on the contrary. If you breakdown the services that is included in the package, masasabi mo na sulit yung binayad mo. My husband and I chose the reception and food package only but included in that is host/bridal car, cake and basic lights and sounds. For the price that we paid for, normally venue lang yun or food lang.

They also have accredited suppliers that they can provide to make it easier for you. You can say, to some extent, the drawback is that you can only choose from among their accredited caterers. But the good thing about that is their accredited caterers are very good naman like Josiah's, K by Cunanan, Hizon's.

We chose Hizon's because of the food and the freebies. Sila may pinakamaraming freebies. We had more options for food and dessert buffet.

We had a morning wedding so the sunlight was perfect in the photos, malamig yung aircon, enough parking available and very near our church which was a Blessed John Paul II in Eastwood.

So I guess you can say, we had a good experience at The Glass Garden.

^hi sis, my niece has already booked glass garden w/ hizons as caterer.  since the guy is not catholic, the ceremony will also be held there.  iniisip nga [textspeak!] if we got a good choice kase c hizon minimal yung mga designs, table set up niya

Hi Sis, your choice of caterer depends on your priorities naman. If you prioritize good food and a lot of food options plus dessert buffet then Hizon's is the right decision. But if you're not that privy to the food and prefer many design options, k by cunanan would have been a good choice.

But honestly, I think the guests will appreciate good food more than table design set up. Your niece can do little DIY projects to add to the table set up. Like for me, what we did was paint old bottles and created personalized table names as an added design. Our tables were named after my favorite chocolates and my husbands favorite liquors.

Although i think you can still change caterers pa naman eh if Glass Garden has not signed a contract with Hizon's for your niece's wedding yet.

I got married at glass garden 3 years ago and 2 1/2 months right after the tragic ondoy pero glass garden delivered pa rin!!! parang walang nangyari sa place as in intact lahat.  we had a very good experience with them from booking up to settling the security deposit.  malamig din.   for the price we paid, sulit na sulit sya. both ceremony and reception held there.  oh and hizons is the caterer din perfect tandem!

Question sisses, sino yung nagpoprovide ng carpet? Glass Garden ba o yung caterer? Gusto ko kasi sana ng grass carpet para muka talaga syang garden (arte lang, hehe). Thanks! Sana may makasagot

Hi sis! Super pareho tayo ng church and venue! Pero january 2014 pa kami. How was the chuch? Ok ba [textspeak!] setup nila? Wala kasi kami makita na pic sa net and san kayo nag shoot after?  Dilema namin yun eh since walang landscape outside the venue and  walang space outside the church :-(

Same tayo ng venues, both Glass Garden and Blessed John Paul II Parish in Eastwood.  April 26 2014 naman ang date ko.

Yung comprehensive package yung kinuha namen ni H2B. Para mas less hassle sa pagkuha ng mga suppliers. Josiah's yung plan namen kunin kasi ino-offer nila yung theme namen na Musicraft. Mejo pricey kung titignan, pero kung ica-calculate mo, mas mura na ren sha kasi halos lahat andun na. Ang plano na lang namen kunin na supplier na wala sa package are yung dresses ng entourage and suit ni H2B, flowers, invites, rings, make up and hotel. Plano ko rin mag DIY ng konti. 

Ang problem ko lang sa Glass Garden is yung time namen. Kasi 5 hours lang ang allotment ng Glass Garden sa morning events. 9am - 2 pm lang. Eh yung ceremony ko is 9am. So parang 4 hours na lang yung time for reception. Tapos 10am - 11am is yung waiting time/cocktails ng mga guests. And then 1 hour para sa buffet lunch. So parang 2 hours na lang yung na-allot for the program. Not sure kung enough na bang time yung 2 hours na yun. I was told na saktong 2 pm dapat tapos na yung event ko, para mkapag set up na yung susunod na wedding. Sana lang kayanin ng time.

Sis krispygreen, may nakita akong wedding sa FB na sa Blessed John Paul din yung wedding nila, tapos yung photo shoot nila is sa Eastwood na rin mismo.

Siguro while eating isabay nio na din yung ibang parat ng program like yung traditional eating ng cake and wime toast and maglay mung sde or avp nio, then after eating, yung speech and games kasya naman siguro in 2hrs, basta wala masyado special numbers yung ibang gues. We attended a wedding kasi madami sila pinakanda it ended up, a lot of peole got bore madami nag uwian  and and hindi na sila nkapag games.

Thanks, sis krispygreen. Hindi na daw pwedeng i-move ng Glass Garden until 3pm kasi maco-compromise yung pagse-set up nung 2nd wedding. So, mukang kelangan lang ng matinding time management. Tsaka wala din kame halos special numbers and speeches. So sana talaga maaga matapos, para may time pang chumika around. 

Actually, tinatry ko din hanapin sa web yung mga pics na nakita ko. Sa Facebook ko kasi yun nakita, although hindi ko sila directly friends. Ang naaalala ko lang is Blacktie Project yung P/V nila, kaya super okay din yung mga shots. May mga shots na building facade lang yung background pero mukang nsa abroad sila. Depende na rin siguro sa P/V kung pano nila didiskartehan yung photo shoot.

Nakita ko na sis joyceejoy!!  ganda nung shots, even yung sa reception! na excite naman ako!hehe sana ma achieve din namin yun..mukang may florist sila sa church, kayo ba kukuha din?iniisip ko kasi if we should get one or mag settle na lang kami sa inclusion nung church..

Regarding naman dun sa problem mo, kaya yun sis, just talk to your otd about it para ma strictly follow yung program and ok lang na short program lang kasi yung iba minsan umuuwi na once they get bored.

^ tama, ang ganda no?  hindi pa namen priority ang mag upgrade ng ceremony decors eh, pero kung may extra budget...why not? kung kukuha naman ako ng florist yung sa mga mura lang din, like mga dangwa suppliers.

Anyways, baka ma-off topic tayo. hihi! yep, I'm really planning to discuss this with the WC, para ma-maximize ang time sa reception. =)

Yep, sis krispygreen . Magpapa cocktails na lang din siguro kame. Just to be safe na hindi magutom ang mga bisita. Pero, napaisip mo ko dun a, kung magka-cocktail tables pa kame. Pwede naman sigurong i-serve yung cocktails sa tables nila mismo, no? =) Para less space yung ma-consume sa lobby. Nung mag-ocular kame, nasa lobby ang photobooth. Not sure kung pwede siyang ilagay dun mismo sa hall.

As for the add on, mas bet ko yung 20 Japanese lanterns. Kasi yung hanging crystals baka hindi rin mashadong mapansin, since morning wedding naman ako. Nakita ko sa FB ng Glass Garden na may bago rin silang add on. Mga birdcages naman. Ang ganda ng effect, lalo pa pag gabi kasi may mga lights yung bird cages. check mo rin. =) Kung pwede, baka yun ang ipa-add on ko. =) Comprehensive din ba ang package mo?

Hi Sisses krispygreen & joyceejoy!

My husband and I were one of the first to book at Blessed John Paul II. Kasi last year January 2012 lang sila naging Parish. They used to be a chapel lang and hindi allowed ang weddings sa kanila. Feb 2012, booked na kami for Dec 8, 2012.

As for the ceremony set up, i opted for pink and white flowers. Ok naman, simple lang but classy. Hindi cheap yung effect ng whole ceremony with the flowers and the church mismo. Yung only problem ko lang with the church was our wedding singer. We gave them a list of wedding songs but they ended up singing a totally different list! Tapos we burned our recessional song sa cd [Just Got Lucky] pero di pa naka-cue so we had to wait pa. Kulang nalang kasi kami sa budget kaya we just got the free wedding singer na kasama sa package. If you have extra budget, I suggest to hire an external singer/group/choir/quartet.

Sis joyceejoy, same problem tayo. Morning wedding din kami. The time was really my concern. Sis krispygreen, wala na kaming time magpa-photo opt after the ceremony due to the limited time. We needed to go to the Glass Garden na to start our program para umabot ng 2pm.

Umabot naman kami. Our host was Myra Lorenzo, she handled our program very well. Pro na pro talaga. we told her about the time shortage. Our whole wedding reception finished at 1:59pm! Galing. We didn't rush anything and got to do all the wedding traditions [prayer by MOH1, father-daughter dance, first couple dance, cake cutting, wine toast by BM1, Speech by MOH2 and BM2, lunch was not rushed, yung singles games and may time pa kami to mingle and photo opt with guests and say our thank yous.].

Yun nga lang, ang drawback was hindi kami nagkaroon ng time to have our couples photoshoot taken at the church. pero ok lang din kasi si hubby ayaw talaga mag pose pose. hehe... he didn't enjoy our pre-nup at all.

But despite the time limitation, bumawi naman sa ambience. The best ang Glass Garden sa morning wedding kasi sa lighting is perfect. Natural light sya at ang ganda ng kuha.

Ask ko lang around what time kayo nag-start ng reception, and kung nag-cocktails pa ba yung mga guests mo? I'm thinking kasi that my schedule will go something like this:

9am-10am - church ceremony
10am-11am - photo ops / cocktails
11am - 12nn - 1st part of reception
12nn-1pm - lunch
1pm-2pm - 2nd part of the reception

I know, mejo tagilid yung 10am-11am ko, kasi [textspeak!] na jan yung photo ops sa church, yung byahe at yung registration ng mga bisita... pero baka gayahin na lang kita na wala nang mashadong photo ops after the ceremony, para masulit yung Glass Garde. =)

Hi Sis joyceejoy, thanks... 

We also had cocktails. What we served was a dessert buffet at the lobby. Since morning naman yung wedding, we served cake pops and mini cupcakes together with mocktails and coffee. I ordered these from my suking supplier [TJ's Cakeshop].

So sa lobby, andun yung table assignments set up, the dessert buffet, the gift table and a few cocktail tables. They all fit naman. May couch pa nga sa corner.

Yeah sis, ok na sched mo. Our ceremony was supposed to start at 9am, na-late lang konti kasi we waited pa for 2 of our ninangs. Nauna pa ako sa 2 Ninang ko. hehe!

Mejo malabo na talaga yung photoshoot kasi like you said may travel pa going to Glass Garden, mga 15minutes din yun. Besides, Blessed John Paul has a 12:15 mass schedule so right after your wedding mag-aayos narin sila for the mass. You won't be able to really have the chapel all to yourselves.

But a suggestion would be to have your photo op after the reception nalang [kung kaya nyo pa]. I'm sure you've booked your P/V for the whole day anyway. Kami ni hubby, mejo pagod na after the reception at may afterparty din kami sa gabi so wala rin kami time. But you guys might...

Try ko nga i-ask yung P/V namen kung posibleng after the reception na lang yung photo ops namen. Sana pumayag sila. Speaking of which, sis Mrs.Guevarra, buti pumayag yung church na hintayin yung 2 ninangs? yung ibang churches daw kasi strict sa time talaga. But then, sa super aga ng weddings naten, posible talagang may mga late, lalo na yung galing pa sa malalayo.

Btw, sis krispygreen...may mga bagong accredited suppliers ang Glass Garden =) I'm leaning towards Ruffa and Mike and Megapixels for my P/V. We'll be going there tomorrow. Will give you any helpful updates kung meron. hehe!
