we'll be having the church wedding on january 19, 2018. actually, january 13 onwards pwede magvacation si husband kasi 2nd year nya sa work so shoulder ng company yung ticket nya. kaya ko naisip na uubra naman nga, na 1 week before the wedding kami umuwi. saan pala kayo kinasal sis? actually booked na kami sa caleruega since 2015 pa. sana mag work out din for us. thanks once again.

Hi pinkonearth. Sis was it hard for both of you to prepare all the necessary docs while away from the  Phils.? I read from your previous post that you got civil married before the church wedding (tama ba?) i hope you won't mind, but how long is the interval from your civil wedding  vs. church wedding?

^Sis hugobossmom, we started preparing our legal documents 3-4 months prior to the wedding date. Since akala nga namin is pwede sa Pinas.

The Birth Cert and CENOMAR were done online. We had it delivered to our house in the Philippines. We prepared an SPA from the Embassy and had these sent to the Philippines so that our representative can process our request for DFA authentication/red ribbon in our behalf. When the authenticated documents were available na, we had these sent to where we were para we can submit to the embassy for the license.

10 posting days rin sa embassy and then scheduling na lang from them once complete na yung documents. So our docs were ready na lahat 2 months prior but apparently, andami pala naka-sched sa embassy. We had to make a lot of pakiusap to have us scheduled earlier kasi pauwi na nga kami for the wedding. The initial schedule assigned to us was 2 days before our flight.

We were assisted naman and we were moved to an earlier date. So the interval between the two weddings was 3 weeks. Looking back, it was honestly easier to process all the legal stuff sa embassy than what we did when we tried pa all the transmittal of docs. That same day, we received our certificate of marriage and then embassy na bahala mag-file sa NSO. But we wanted that sana para 1 marriage date lang.

From what I know, it doesn't matter if you have your certificate like 2 or 6 months prior to the church wedding unless may ganung requirements from your church. Because at the end of the day, you are legally-binded and so there should be no other document required to "marry" the two of you. But that's just the way I understand it ha.

This was my process planning the wedding. Of course what worked for me may not be the same for other brides. This will be long.

We bought my eRing in February 2016. My H2B proposed in March and I started planning April.

I think to start with you need to decide on:
- date: availablity of suppliers depends on the date
- budget: budget dictates which suppliers your should be looking at and how many guests you can invite
- guest list: If you know how many you are inviting, you can narrow down venues
- where (Manila or Tagaytay) where you're having the wedding will dictate how early you should start planning. Very popular locations need to be booked as far as a 1.5 years in advance.

We started with a small budget of 350k which grew to 700k kasi the original was just not feasible for the type of wedding we want.

We decided on Bohol, because we wanted a beach reception without the hassle of traffic. Also we have a lot of o/s guests and did not think Manila would be enjoyable for them.

It was was also a way of limiting the number of guests. If I had our wedding in Manila, our guest list will be close to 300. In Bohol, I only expect 75-100 to come.

Once we have decided on dates and location, I did my own research on venues and the wedding planner.

Make sure you get a planner that is local to the area. If you decide on a DW, do not get a planner from Manila. It will be expensive because of the transport and they will not be familiar with other local suppliers. I met a florist who was arranging a wedding in Bohol on behalf of a very popular wedding coordinator in Manila. Kasi the bride decided to get someone "sikat" instead of local.

Once I had candidates for venues and a wedding planner in mind, I went to Bohol (H2B not included) to have an ocular inspection of the venues and meet with the planner. We did a general run through of the suppliers I need to book and she made suggestions so I can do my own research. This was in May 2016.

I also bought my dress while in Manila and also priced barongs and other things we need.

My planner gave me a general timeline of the process. Keep in mind this is for an April 2017 wedding, so adjust na lang the dates.

July-September 2016
Conceptualize Major essentials such as Entourage list and confirmation (save d date)
Entourage outfit- design, style, motif
Finalize suppliers- Manila or Bohol based Suppliers and booking/reservations be made
August 2016- final venue of wedding ceremony
October-December 2016-
December 2016- baptismal and confirmation certs for the marriage bann
January-Request for Certificate of No Marriage (CENOMAR)
Legal capacity to Marry (Australian Embassy)
Other documents needed to file for marriage license (pls refer to copy given in May)
February-application for marriage license (a file copy to be brought to Tagbilaran for reference- Dispensation of marriage banns, canonical Interview,
Meeting wd suppliers (Bohol Based)
Finalize other wedding essentials
Guest list

March 2016-April2016
Date of arrivals,
On the day itinerary
Reservations/hotels/ accommodation
Ready for execution- April 23, 2017( Wedding Day)

Sorry it's such a long post. I just want to help kasi when I first started I was so overwhelmed. Every night after my research I keep on telling my fiance, lets just elope kasi I was so overwhelmed.

hi sis pinkonearth, ako naman baligtad talagang sasadyain namin sa embassy abroad mangyari yung civil wedding but we're both based in Manila

Ang problem ko is the 10 days marriage ban, do you think they would allow us to let's say submit the documents sa embassy of that country in february then hold the civil wedding in may? parang iwan ko muna dun yung CLCCM kasi hindi ko kayang hintaying ng 10 days sa february. will the CLCCM expire kaya? i know its more practical to just hold the civil wedding sa city hall here sa pinas pero for some personal reasons hindi pwede

Hi Ladies So paano ang process for example after wedding and after you filed the Marriage License/Contract in the local municipality. We have to get the Marriage Contract in NSO Paper right? Then need pa ba ipa red ribbon at DFA?

^Sis MiloK, I think it's possible to ask for that schedule from the embassy.

Sis rowan, if it's about the birth certificate, etc., it's because these were required by the embassy to proceed with the civil wedding.

meron bang Singapore based brides/b2b dito na nag ROM (registry of marriage) muna bago nag church?

balak kasi namin ni h2b mag ROM muna late this year bago mag church late next year. kaso nalilito ako sa requirements. kailangan ba everytime na may appointment kasama si h2b? or sa registry day lang sya pupunta? may seminar din ba na dapat magkasama kami aattend?

^ RTW ba sis or customized gown? Try mo sis mag inquire sa Mynamour, the owner is vietnamese, it's in Palladium Tower, Cluster C, JLT.  . It was suggested to me last year by one of our GT sisses na dubai-based din pero  not sure lang if the RTW gowns  I saw in her shop were for sale, di ko kasi natanong when I went there. They have a facebook page din pala sis, andun details nila.

hi sissies! overseas bride din ako. actually me & h2b. wedding date namin is April 25,2018 pero ang uwi namin is on Mar25, now may i ask kung aabutin po ba yan to apply Marriage Licence? Garden civil wedding sana kami. nakapagbooked na kami ng venue & caterer but worried ako sa all preps mostly done na pero yung legality& docs hindi pa

^hi sis! Yes abot pa yan, posting of marriage license kasi will take 10 days so enough pa ang 1 month allowance nyo to apply.

Kung san mang municipality kayo mag apply ng license, ipatanong nyo narin sa relatives nyo kung may specific day ba for the application and yung seminar that you have to attend to. Like samin, you can apply for marriage license anytime during weekdays, but the seminar will be during Tue & Thu lang. Ang start kasi ng posting ng license is once you've done attending the seminar na. Pero as I've said, iba iba kasi per municipality. Baka sa municipality nyo, okay lang kahit hindi na mag attend ng seminar, then meron namang iba like ours na hindi ipopost ang license, if wala kang certificate of attendance from the seminar.

As I've mentioned sa response ko sayo sa kabilang thread, bukod sa kailangan ng appearance nyo yung processing mg Marriage License, may seminar din na kailangan umattend kaya di pwede ipa-asikaso sa Representative.
