You're lucky you had the chance to go home months before the wedding. Kame saktong 25days before the wedding lang makakauwi.

sis ano mga nalakad nyo sa papers while you are here in dubai? Yung mga owede ipalakad na sa ibang tao? Para makapag umpisa na sana kame.

Yes! Pinilit ko talaga umuwi kasi hindi din ako mapakali. Hehe. Baka yung marriage license na lang ang ipalakad ko sa mother And boyfriend ko since andun naman sya. Magpabackup na lang kami sa munisipyo. Then wala ako inasikaso dito actually. Yung freedom to marry kasi sabi sa akin sa caleruega, no need naman daw na for me basta may cenomar lang. And ginawa ko lang while im here is to do booking suppliers online. Hehe. Buti nga din naging productive ang 1 week na uwi ko. 😊 Cenomar pwede ka magpakuha, the problem is yung validity nya. Sa amin kasi, (sa municipyo namin) 1 month validity lang. Ewan ko ba sa kanila. Kakainis. Then the rest sa pinas ko ginawa.

Sis iclarify mo yung sa marriage bans. Kasi, it should be posted 3 weeks before wedding. (After we did the canonical, binigyan na nila kami ng marriage ban and it was posted already).

Sissies...Anyone who booked Infinite Soul or graduate brides who got them to perform for CEREMONY (Catholic wedding) + RECEPTION??? 

I want to know sana for a Catholic ceremony,  did you get a choir to sing the church songs like kordero... Our father, etc. kasi in their contract,it doesnt include those songs...right? or did you ask the coordinator to play mp3 for those songs... TIA! Sana may makasagot neto... I want to book them na sana mamaya hehe

^i think depende sa church. yung samin nauna yung banns since 2 weeks before the wedding umuwi husband ko. 1 week before ng wedding kami nag canonical interview.

Sis! Ganun sa amin kasi ang ginawa. Right after we finished the canonical, binigyan na nila kami ng copies to be given sa respective parish namin and to be posted. Hindi ko lang sure sis if pwedeng ipalakad yun sa ibang bans sa iba. Saan church ka ba? Contact mo sis yung church mo. Im sure they have considerations sa mga ofw. 😊

Hi sis nikkipedia!  I've just checked our contract with Infinite Soul and may inclusion na 4 liturgical songs (Offertory, Alleluia, Our Father & Communion).    We won't be getting a separate choir for the Ceremony kasi nag-balloon na budget namin but h2b's kuya & their friends will sing sa ceremony.  I'm just not sure which part.

Anyone of you sisses na based overseas and booked a gown designer based in Manila?
My bridal gown designer is based in Manila. And so they sent me this body measurement guide. What to measure e.g. point A to point B with illustration naman.

I was just wondering how some of our sisses did this... like did you just ask a friend/colleague to take your body measurements? (siguro ang thinking ko is mananahi or someone knowledgeable dapat mag take ng body measurements ko) but I would love to hear your answers mga sis

hi sis marbleslice, same here, overseas bride... hehe double hassle no?
regarding that one, sa tingin ko mas maganda kung me makukuha kang marunong talaga magsukat
OR do it with your friend pero nakavideocall kayo ni designer so that nakikita nya kung tama ba o mali ang pagsusukat...  hope that helps!

^sis rienny25 thank you for your response! they've sent me a draft contract. same sa response mo. so yung mga songs like kordero and di nila kantahin. I can just ask my coordinator to play it through laptop or ask my officiating priest (family member) to initiate those songs then we'll sing hehe

did you get package 3 or package 4? when is your wedding pala?

sis vhena14 thanks for your suggestion! Agree double hassle nga. Video calling while taking the measurements is a good idea  they can tell if we're taking the right measurements.

Hi sis marbleslice. I was an overseas bride rin. I got designer for my gown based in sta.rosa laguna which is near my hometown. We just talked thru viber/ viber call. My mum took  my measurements since she knows basic dress making hehe. Its better to have someone else take your measurements sis. Then a month before our wedding I had my first fitting of the gown, medyo may konti adjustments lang but then the designer meant to put allowances lang just in case. Then came second fitting that turned out to be my last fitting 1 week before the wedding kasi sobra nagtama na agad yung fit saken. Being an overseas bride/couple, hubby & I weren't able to attend any bridal fair man lang in Manila hehe. Sayang nga e. But our coordinator took care of everything for us naman.

Sis marbleslice, my gown designer is in Manila too but he was able to take my measurement when I went home for holiday in Nov. 2014.  Then umuwi ulit ako 2 weeks ago and had my first fitting.  I had my experience as part of the entourage wherein the designer sent me the measurement guide.  This happened twice na.  Yung first, it was my aunt's friend who took my measurement then yung second was my friend.  May minor adjustment lang nung nag-fit ako pero okay naman output nung gown.

Sis rienny25 and MichelleZ thanks for sharing too! i will emphasize to the designer to put allowance sa measurements (or siguro they normally put allowance talaga) sakto naman my cousin will be visiting me so i'll let her take the measurements! hindi advisable pag ako lang. thanks a lot! GT's really a big help to us

Sis vhena, yung iba ang ginagawa, nagpapa civil muna abroad. mas madali daw eh. actually naisip ko din un, to save us the hassle, kaya lang conservative si h2b and family ko. imagine dito sa sg, passport lang ang need. book and pay online, tapos may minister na pupunta sa naka set na date and venue. yung right of marriage ng friends ko, 10mins lang ata buong ceremony. need lang ng 2 witnesses.

di ko din magets bakit ang hassle hassle nyang marriage license. dati naman, pwede daw representative lang, basta may stamp duty ng authorization, pero last year lang binago.
