thanks marge070407! nako sabay nga ang preps for church wedding and pag aayos ng papers! kaya kami may civil para malodge ko na agad yung application and konti na lang hihintayin after the church wedding:)

Hello fellow overseas brides. For those who had their pre- cana done outside the Phililpines, I just wanted to ask, is it  basically the Marriage Preparatory Course/ class that is  being offered in your  overseas parish?   Thank you sa makakasagot?

Hi sis! may bride here! Konting kembot na lang! I want to ask regarding marriage license application (ayoko na magbackread) hehe, need ba talaga personnal appearance yun? Actually, i went home this feb for 1 week. And we are not able to fix this kasi need ng munisipyo namin are all original copies of documents. Eh yung nso birthcert ko and cenomar, wala na sa amin. So umalis ako na hindi namin sya nafix. 😖 Pano kaya yun guys?

Same problem sis. Uuwi kame 25 days before the wedding. If kailangan talaga ng personal appearance ibig sabihin maayos palang namen sya pag uwi namen. Kaya pa ba yun in 25 days? that's like 15 working days lang para maglakad sa city hall. OMG!

suggestion lang pagdating na pagdating nyo kuha na kayo agad. samin 6 working days nakuha na. 3days before the wedding napasa sa church.yung husband ko kasi 2 weeks before the wedding umuwi eh.

Good thing sis sayo is 6 days lang. Sa amin kasi, when i asked, the municipality told me na minimum of 11 days. And nabother ako. May 7 ang kasal. And if it takes 11 working days, it will be released on may 2. Hassle! Im thinking pa what if may mali sa certificate namin. Hay. Does anyone encounter na nagpasubmit na lang?

I just asked my mom. Nung wedding ng sis ko, sya nag apply with all the documents. Tapos pagdating ng sis ko and husband nya, ayun na yung appearance, then same day release na yung Marriage License.

So parang yung processing lumakad na yung araw. yung perosnal appearance don na daw sa releasing.

Don yun sa Caloocan City hall yun, but that's way back 2013. And I think they were very lucky, what if saken di na ganun yung process.

Advice ng friends namin who recently got married (December 2015), allot at least 10 days for the application and filing of the Marriage License. Upon inquiry when I went home last December din, required ang original copies ng NSO birth certificate, CENOMAR and certificate from your residence/barangay clearance as proof of residence ng isa sa couple (some doesn't require this but its better to be complete para wala na iisipin). Some municipalities already offer a half day seminar upon filing of the marriage license that is a compulsory requirement. Then, if you're getting married in a Catholic ceremony, needed din ang Certificate of Freedom to Marry plus the others like baptismal, confirmation, pre cana (can be done in your church where you are based but ask your church in PH if they would allow it), interview and the marriage ban which could take 3 sundays of your time.. Better yet have it extended for 4 weeks. So overall a month is really needed to get everything done.

Mga sis may question ako. After getting pre cana and freedom to marry certificate, ano gagawin, kailangan ba ipadala namen yung original copy sa pinas to be sumbitted sa church?

Any idea kung ano yung mga pwede na namen maipalakad sa ibang tao? Para we can start na as early as now. We are 4 months and 3 weeks away! gosh!

For church requirements wala pa kame nauumpisahan since lahat 6months validity so by May pa kame mag umpisa like mag Precana dito sa auh and si h2b, wala pa confirmation!!! hay. Mom ko pinapakuha ko orig baptismal cert from church na bininyagan ako at cenomar din by May na lang din...

Sis hermione! Dubai ka din pala? Im from dubai also! 😊 When ba wedding mo? I went home last feb to arrange my papers. Nakipagmeet na kami with our priest, sent papers sa church, canonical interview, meeting with the caterer and mock set up; meeting my principal sponsors also and looked for my gown. 1 week lang ako umuwi pero super sulit and super pagod. Haha.

Things remaining: (3 weeks before wedding ang arrival ko)

Precana
Prenup
Submission of marriage license (or palakad ko na lang sa mother ko)
Meeting with the rest of the suppliers.

2 months to go!

Plan ko jumeirah beach, burj khalifa di ko lang alam san area maganda para mukhang malapit, at sa desert sana.

May mga nakausap ako photographer pero namamahalan kasi ako kaya mga kakilala nalang na mahilig mag shoot. Not pro pero maganda na din naman yung kuha nya so OK na.

Makeup artist, gosh di kaya ang mahal mahal! May nakausap akong kabayan, gay sya, AED300 for 1 whole day shoot sasama sya kaso di sya pwede maagang call time. Mga 10am lang daw. Eh plan ko mag shoot mga 5AM para wala pang mga tao. Saka sayang din AED300. Ako nalang mag makeup saken, bahala na. Haha. Or may ma recommed kayo?
