A successful Overseas bride here .....I went home 8 days before Wedding.


Here's my Tip

1. Checklist with timeframe mga sis this will help to keep you track.
2. Do a lot of research before you book. Read blogs, Reviews specially rants and rave.
3. Have someone who can do the Leg work for you in the Philippines
4. Lahat ng Pwedeng bilhin or gawin while your in abroad gawin na like simple things
    Accessories mga ganun
5.Have a list of Final Suppliers and their contacts (contact nos. emails, Fbs, Tango, viber, wechat) pati
na inclusion ng package nila para ma check mo kung ano mga possible question mo pag dating mo for meet up
6. Have a list of Potential Suppliers and their packages
7. Look for a very good Coordinator mag ask ka na agad ng Question pag lito ka na
8. Sa simula pa lang ng research mag karoon na kayo ng notebook or diary para every questions, idea
isulat nyo dun  kase minsan makakalimutan mo

Hello girls, tanong ko lang. Ang wedding ko kasi ay sa States pa, may alam ba kayong bilihan ng Bag or Box for Wedding gown para ma-hand carry ko sa airport. Recommended niyo ba ang vaccum sealed bags?

^sis you can try those sturdy garment bags. If fishtail ang gown mo or mahaba ang train meron mga nabibili na makapal yung sa ilalim.
Recommended na baliktarin yung gow para yung beadwork (if meron) nasa loob and sa labas yung linings. Alam ko meron din mga paper for wrapping na ginagamit.
For me, I checked in my gowns. Placed it first sa garment bag then sa luggage.

^hi sis dinala ko gown ko dito sa abudhabi kasi gusto ko mag post nup shoot dito so what i did yung pinaglagyan na malaking box na binigay saken ng couturier yun ang pinaglagyan ko tas ni-wrap lang ni hubby ng packaging tape.wala bang binigay sayo yung couturier mu? feeling ko sis pag vacuum sealed bags madedeform? pero depende din siguro sa gown sis kung simple lang baka pwede na din yun ang aken kasi haba ng trail ko na nakaseperate sa pinakagown ko.

hime thank you sa idea sis, tama baligtarin ko yung gown ko. problem kasi 1 hand carry bag lang pwede ko dalhin, so malamang ibabalot ko sa isang acid free paper then suksok ko sa garment bag.
gracita13thanks so much sa link! May box na binigay yung couturier ko kaso ugly box sya haha kasi divisoria lang yung aken hehe. iniisip ko rin yung vacuum sealed, bulky kasi siya and may tulle hmm. pero try ko na rin vacuum sealed pero kung sa tingin ko ay nakaksira alisin ko na rin agad hihih.

^sissy magkamag anak lang ang mga box naten sa divi lang din yung aken LOL! yung couturier ko dun lang din kumukuha ng materials sa divi eh. since ni-wrap naman ni hubby ng packaging tape as in lahat hindi na halatang cheapanga ang box ahahaha!

^ Saw your wedding dress from your signature link! ang ganda ng wedding dress mo teh! woah, RTW ba iyon or pinatahi mo? Amazing kung Divi lang din tee hee!. Baka kung wala na kong makuhang bag, i-packaging tape ko na rin siguro tapos drawing drawingan ko na lang yung box para madistinguish na akin yun hehe.

Bride from Qatar here. 2015 yung planned date namin at wala pa ako nabobook though I'm looking into the all-in package ng fernbrook  para di na ako  mag hire ng full coordination peroI still wanna check kung kukuha ako ng separate suppliers for each

Hello all! Im a bride based in Malaysia. Im just wondering what are the requirements I need if my husband and I are planning a wedding in Manila?

Is it possible to process all requirements remote? We are planning to do a civil wedding in Malaysia first and then in Manila a week after? Is that possible, or do we need more time to process some of the requirements? Help please!

^ Physical presence is required sa marriage license application. If you want to get married in Malaysia,you can register it sa Phil Embassy so you can have an NSO marriage cert para no need na marriage license. kaso I believe it could take months.check with the embassy there.

Which one takes months, the NSO cert? So if we plan to have the wedding in Manila, we dont need to get a license anymore?

^ Yes the NSO marriage certificate could take months from the time you registered it sa Philippine Embassy up to makuha ang marriage certificate. If you have an NSO marriage certificate, no need to get a marriage license. I suggest call the Philippine embassy for the process.  I know this is true for a lot of countries - based sa mga nakausap ko because this was an option din before - to for me get married abroad para wala ng marriage license, pero best to call pa din the embassy.

If however naman you don't have time to register the Malaysian marriage you can still get married sa Pinas but they will require you to get a marriage license.  One requirement sa marriage license  is the Certificate of No Marriage issued by the NSO so if hindi registered ang wedding abroad you can still get this from the NSO.

Hello Ann0109! Fellow Malaysia-based bride here.

If ikakasal sa pinas, the marriage license cannot be applied here (at the PH Embassy), so definitely this one you need to go home to apply. But, if ayaw niyo nang umuwi, you can get married here in civil rites then submit na lang the marriage certificate sa Pinas.

First of all, saan pala ang church/venue niyo and kelan? If the church allows, you can avail the Catholic Marriage Preparation Course (6week program or the weekend) or the Catholic Engaged Encounter weekend here. San ka nga pala dito sa Malaysia? KL?

Though I have a coordinator and I have my mom to help me with the preps in Pinas, some of our suppliers were those I was able to contact through email and through email na lang rin kami nag-transact and nag-contract signing.

baka may makasagot lang sa inyo. h2b and i are currently residing in Canada, we are both filipinos by the way. we are both permanent residents na, live-in na kami for 3 years and we are now considered as "adult interdependent relationship" a.k.a. "common law partners". my SIL phoned pasay city hall and asked what the requirements are. they said something about "certificate of legal capacity to contract marriage". this is what it says on the website of govt. of canada/philippines:

Any foreign national who wishes to marry in the Philippines is required by the Philippine Government to obtain from his/her Embassy or Consulate in the Philippines, a “Certificate of Legal Capacity to Contract Marriage” before filing an application for a marriage license. This certification affirms that there are no legal impediments to the proposed marriage. Unlike the Philippines, the Government of Canada does not keep a central statistical registry of marriages and cannot verify this information. Instead, the Philippine Government may accept a Statutory Declaration, in lieu of the required certificate, that is notarized by the Embassy or Consulate of Canada.

does this only apply when you are marrying a citizen/foreigner? or does it also apply to both of us, take note that we are only permanent residents. naguguluhan ako.

Hello mga sisses.. any Overseas B2B here who is currently here in Dubai and planning to have their wedding sa Pinas?

Possible kaya mag apply sa consulate dito ng Marriage License then eto na yung ipresent sa church sa Pinas? Also, has anyone tried pre-Cana sa St Mary's kahit sa simbahan sa Pinas naman kayo ikakasal?

we are both filipinos by the way.

you and your significant other are not foreign nationals.  you don't need anything from any embassy.
