Yes sis shegie_285 from US nga. may one plane change kami, so most likely check-in is a no-no. Nku sana lang hindi bulky yung gown sa hand carry suitcase. But I'll definitely call the airline too to make sure kung meron silang cabinet man lang sa plane para dun store yung gown. Thank you sis.

@ chuchubells we'll check our options here in SG. We booked an appointment with Vivian this month sana may magustuhan at mag-fit sakin, hassle kasi if sa pinas pa so mag-try muna ng RTW dito SG.

Hello Mga Sis, tanong lang regarding gowns especially dun sa mga brides na galing pang ibang bansa ang gown. Pano nyo nadala yung gown nyo? And where you placed it? I was thinking of putting it in a huge luggage na yun lang ang laman, kaso baka malukot naman knowing na ichecheck in ko yung luggage. Any thoughts? I wanna know kung ano din ginawa nyo. TIA!

I did exactly what you're planning to do. Meron kasi ako coat hanger ba tawag dun? Plan ko was to have the gown placed dun sa parang cabinet ng mga crew. Kaso hindi nagkasya, so ang nagyari is nandun lang sya sa overhead compartment ng plane. Definitely no-no na icheck-in, takot ko lang mawala yung gown.

Just came back from Manila two weeks ago and I am still amazed pano namin nakaya ang sunod-sunod na lakad for all the errands. Initial FT with PC, WC meeting, we visited TMF again with our parents, DIY Divi trip, seamstress and tailor consultation. We had no time to meet our friends except for coffee at night.

And now pa lang, I am already scheduling the trip for August na tight din. Had to book early din and choose wisely pagdating sa airlines para makatipid.

We are not opting to get any flowers na for the entourage and primary sponsors. Kung kaya i-DIY, I suggest you do that. At least one day (usually weekends) mag set ng goal na may matapos. Kasi malaking tipid din sya. I have a quote from Full Blooms for the flowers, nasa 12k. Though pwede i-customize accdg to budget, pero nanghihinayang pa din ako kasi itatapon lang naman din nila ang mga corsages after.

Try to book the hotel for wedding preps early and ask if they have early bird promotions.

And if you have a WC, always ask for recommendations because usually when they are involved, they can help you negotiate the rates with your suppliers.

As for the marriage license you have to get it sa Pinas
take note that since we are based overseas we have to get permission for your chosen church diocese they have a set of documents that we need to submit., have you chosen the Church?

You have to get the license sa Pinas since that's where you'll be getting married. :-)

I came here sa Pinas two weeks ago, and brought my gown from Dubai thru Emirates Airlines. Wala naman silang rules but handcarry ko sya together with our wedding rings, church documents..coz scared ako na mawala:) what i did is rolled it with the tissue paper(the big one) and bubble wrap to serve as buffers starting from the bottom terrain, working it to the top, i've read na it retains the shape and prevents wrinkles and it worked for me:) i did the same thing with my veil, medyo delicate sya coz its tulle at madali magusot but it turned out okay too.  then i put them inside a waterproof garment bag. it will turn out bulky but you know it's safe. and I had to make sure that i'll put my luggage where I can see it(paranoid lang).
 as long as you hang it immediately when you arrived, it will get back to it's normal shape kung may mga wrinkles man. but for mine it was perfectly packed kaya okay naman.

Thank you Sis Chuchubells (love your username lol) Wala pa ang formal engagement ko lol. Sa August lahat mangyayari. (Formal engagement, pamamanhikan and civil wedding) and December 2013 (church) Born again Christian kasi ako so hindi applicable yung choosing a church diocese? :/ I want to do it in VCF though...my problem is...both me an h2b can only fix our papers for two weeks in August - wish ko lang magawa ang lahat :0 I read in PH embassy in SG that we can get a marriage license? but it has to be notarized by the consulate..let me know if im wrong with this?

You have to get the license sa Pinas since that's where you'll be getting married. :-)

As for my entourage, Barong am planing to buy it from Divisoria and for the ladies am ordering from ms Agatha (Cheesecake) her infinity dresses and gowns. Ive ordered 2 pcs from her last month and I received it thru a friend na umuwi sa Pinas mega love ko yung dress am having fun changing the looks and it is flattering :-) plus, ms. Agatha is so accomodating I will be meeting her this June to finalized my order for the entourage and maybe I would consider to order another dress hahahahh

Yung coat hanger ko kasi, medyo makapal yung material - parang ganun sa mga material ng tela na luggages. Sa overhead compartment, kasama nya mga luggages dun. Ang dala ko lang na check-in, if I remember correctly, is yung coat hanger tapos shoulder bag na magaan lang. May mga documents din ako na siniksik dun sa bulsa ng coat hanger.

If hindi naman bulky yung coat hanger mo, then most possibly kakasya dun sa cabinet ng crew.

sis ms.peach wow i didn't know about the bubble wrap! galing! But did you put it in a large luggage pa rin ba? san mo nilagay sa plane na sis? Hindi ko pa kasi alam kung anong gown ang bibilhin ko so hindi ko alam gano kabulky. haha. I asked my SIL naman galing sya Saudi, check in daw nya yung gown na nakalagay sa luggage. hindi naman nawala at di din daw lukot na lukot. Hay katakot lang kasi checkin.

sis misuguerrero sana yung wedding gown ko magkasya. worry ko lang din baka magkalukot lukot kaya need dagdag ingat!

chillyne dear, yup i put the gown sa luggage lang.. never check in the gown..you'll never know what will happen next, baka maligaw lang yung luggage. sa overhead cabin lang sis opposite to my seat para kita ko.. again super paranoid lang:) or ask help from the designer of your gown kung paano pack yung gown:)

@sis chuchubells: aww, sis thank you so much in advance! Sis pa-share din yung about sa infinity dress i'm considering that for the entourage. Medyo nangangarag ako ngayon about sa gowns including my gown may mga pegs na ako but I don't want to splurge much kasi sa gown ko kaya sana may mahanap ako ok na price dito SG.. Am expecting my gown at the end of this month and will be bringing it back home early August, 2 months before the wedding since I feel much safer na maiuwi ko sya ng maaga. hehe

Like ms. peach, medyo paranoid din lang ako kaya I already started googling papaano nga iuuwi sa Pinas (check in vs hand carry). For me, I think medyo mahihirapan ako kasi mahaba yung train ko. But then again, until makita at masukat ko ulit yung gown pagdating, saka lang ako makakapagdecide.

From what I have read, recommended talaga ang hand carry. Though there were some who dared checking it in on a hard case luggage and pinalagyan ng fragile sign then sinabi pa na paingatan kasi nga wedding gown. Which I think, depende din sa mga nagtratransport ng luggage.
