a guy friend once told me, ang lalaki basta gusto ka lokohin kahit anong gawin mo (pagbabantay), lolokohin ka pa rin. in other words, wala talaga sa kamay ng babae yan. desisyon yan ng lalaki. kahit anong bait mo, alaga mo, understanding mo, etc. me hahanapin at hahanapin na butas yan pag gusto niya mambabae. for what? not because the other spouse is lacking in anything really (though no one is perfect) but just because of that darn MALE EGO they have to stroke.

I don't mean to be preachy but we really need to pray for our marriages and for our husbands - all the time: for them (and us) to have a close relationship with God, for the Lord to protect our marriage/relationship from temptation and from the wiles and attacks of the enemy, and for the strength & courage to say no and walk away from temptation. One marriage advice that I cannot forget (and we do our best to live by) is this: Your marriage is not just a relationship between you and your husband. It's between you, your husband, and the Lord. Like a triangle (pointing up), the closer you are to the Lord, the nearer you will be to each other. :-)

Be fun. Do fun thhings together. Look after him. Keep the excitement going, especially in bed. Roleplay kung roleplay. And if after this he still goes astray, then sad to say that the relationship is not working anymore.

^^Sis kmm totally agree with you.  Prayers and Faith in God.

Mahirap kase ma-control mo ang emotions and desisyon ng isang tao.  You only have control over your own, minsan nga hindi pa natin macontrol ang sarili natin.

Siguro kung may magagawa man ako now is to Love and take care of myself (I'm doing this not to prevent the said scenario, but to somehow make it a habit para I won't be so broken if and ever the inevitable would happen)

In the future, kapag nagkaanak ako ng boy, I will try my best with God's help to guide my son to be respectful of women.

you cant have control
i have done most of the things and advise - even read the 5 languages, took care of myself, have time etc. husband still strayed/betrayed/cheated

PRAY. maybe that's it. the only thing we can do to keep sanity and peace of mind and not think that someday someone will betray you

HOW TO PREVENT...

IMO,  a wife/partner can be everything and do everything --  and her spouse/partner can still betray her.
The more I see of betrayals, including mine... Lol, I say: don't take it personally.
IMO, if a man wants to scratch an itch - wherever, whenever -- he will,  que  sino or what his  wife/partner is or does.   Generally kasi, men are good at "living in The Now". So scratch the itch & bahala na si Batman kung mabuko ---  IF mabuko.

But I still go for a woman continuing to improve herself, she owes herself that: to better herself each day.
Plus, I still also go for giving it your Best. If the marriage/relationship goes kaput! -- well, no regrets, you gave it your Best/All.

So what's gonna prevent it? I believe, a man close to God has more strength to control scratching his itches.  Nowadays, I don't pray he stays on course. I pray instead his relationship with God becomes stronger.  That, IMO, is the best preventive action.

Yes:
I don't mean to be preachy but we really need to pray for our marriages and for our husbands - all the time: for them (and us) to have a close relationship with God, for the Lord to protect our marriage/relationship from temptation and from the wiles and attacks of the enemy, and for the strength & courage to say no and walk away from temptation. i firmly believe na ang mga lalaki number one sa kanila talaga ang looks at sex..
so look good, stay in shape and keep him sexually satisfied.
this may be true pero pansamantala lang yan. pag trenta o kwarenta na kayo, ano ang laban nyo sa isang daisy-otso na amoy notebook at mas makatas? abeeer? ;D

make him sexually satisfied?  ;D panalo to. ok na ok yan... if you could DAILY maintain it for the next 30-40yrs.
really!
alam nyo bang ang dami nagche-check-in sa mga motmot during lunch break? need i explain? ;)

no IFs and BUTs yan eh.

women allow it

men don't know what to lose
::) cellphone load? mana? work? sexy time?... o kayong pamilya nya mismo?

absence of God in your marriage
ano, may sinunggaling hihirit? ;D  www.chariiiiiiiing.com  ;D
lech3! 90% na pumapasok sa mot-mot ng short-time, bawal na pag-ibig. 9% para mag-shongki, 1% para mag-Rosaryo. ;D

Maligayang Pagdiwang ng NiƱos Inosentes! ;D :D ;D

^ Ok got your tres puntos.

cheating is not an accident. it is a conscious choice.
sexually satisfied the night before? yes. tambling pa, may pagka sirkera pa. ubos bago umalis ng bahay [textspeak!] wala nang ilalabas pa. so yes satisfied.

PRAY, i like the 3rd point. PRAY. ask believe recieve for a good marriage and happy family for a husband who will never ever cheat.

^talaga lang ha? as in DAILY/nightly? ::)... then keep it up.

pero ganun pa man... D.D.T. kasi yan eh. in-order. DILA, DALIRI, TOINKS!

;) ...sige nga, for what valid reason para sya magloko?
