We have the slow juicer Hurom HH series, bought last Jan 11 and been juicing approximately 2 liters daily, good for 8 person na. 

Highly recommended, Hurom quality is top notch and the best part that we like is that the pulp extracted is almost dry already, medyo effort lang konti during cleaning time hehe

i am using yun Dowell. i bought it sa automatic centre for 3k++ ok naman sya.. halos same style lang ng jack lalanne at yun koii.. najujuice naman nya kahit hard veggies at pati un mga stalks like sa celery...

slow juicer kasi maintain parin yun enzyme nun fruits and veggies kaya mas ok and matstone is 8 in 1 ata yun use you can also make sorbet from there and other things.. soya milk also at pasta pwede ka gumawa..

I've used a lot of juicers in the last 4 years. Some broke, some I still use and some units I sold because I "outgrew" it. In fact, I am out in the market looking for the best juicer to fit my current needs.

Generally speaking, there are two types of juicers: Centrifugal and Low RPM (rotations per minute) juicers. The latter is also subdivided into different categories: Masticating (like the Champion); Twin Gear (Green Star); Single Gear; Vertical (Matstone, Green Star, Champion, Omega) and horizontal (Hurom, Kuvings). A juicer can be part of more than one subcategory.

Slow juicers are normally on the higher range (approximately in the P14K and up) and most centrifugal types are P10K and below. The former produces the best quality juice as it doesn't get hot as fast as centrifugal ones, maintaining more of the juice enzymes (proteins responsible for absorption of nutrients, it is heat sensitive) and the juice lasts longer. Centrifugal types are faster and usually easier to clean than slow juicers. Horizontal slow juicers are great for leafy greens and root vegetables like carrots and beets while vertical slow juicers are awesome for fruits with the exemption of citruses (it leaves a ton of pulp in the juice).

It can be very confusing but there are only two things you have to focus on when you're buying a new juicer.

• 2. Quality vs Ease of Use and Maintenance

I had a Moulinex centrifugal juicer and I still use it if I want juice fast. Fresh juice is better than no juice at all. I also have a Green Star, which is heavy duty and second best to the Rolls Royce of all juicers, Norwalk but it's a pain to clean. Right now, I'm looking to purchase Matstone. It's very slow (approximately 110 RPM), easy to use and clean.

Before, Jack Lalanne's din gamit ko sa bahay ng parents ko.. and yep, hassle talaga maglinis ng pulps kahit na anong sabihin nila na easy cleanup. LOL!
We have Breville now. regalo from our sponsor. (Yay! THank you ninonG! ) Well, we havent really tried this one out yet. hmm Its kinda bulky though! Pero from the reviews that ive read online, ok naman ang quality. Try namin this weekend para malaman ko baka easier ang cleanup hehe

I've heard of Matstone, Breville, and Hurom. Any other brand out there that's good enough for its price?

how about the Jumpstart Juicer by John Mills (JML)? Meron bang nakatry na nito?

^ That was our first juicer. Such a waste of money! Super wet ng pulp tuwing lumalabas, and onting juice lang ang nayi-yield.

Matstone, I'm impressed with the reviews I am reading from some people who sells Juices. No problems with green veggies even not cut small sizes. One said, her matstone is 5 years old and still working.

Hurom, is really good also but needs to cut those green veggies like kale and spinach into smallest size so won't stuck on the strainer. hth

aww. yung jumpstart niregalo ng husband ko nung birthday ko :-(

anyway gumagana pa naman sya. parang pareho lang sila nung minana kong juicer sa nanay ko. okay talaga ang matstone, pero mas mura ang hurom by a few thousand pesos (may model silang 11k lang). so if hurom is a good brand din naman, okay lang na sumabit sabit ang mga veggies sa strainer, lilinisin ko na lang! haha. i'd go for hurom

May 11K ang hurom? I thought 15 at 18K lang sila. Pero there's juicepresso, same din daw ng quality ng hurom. Juicepresso is 10K pero promo price sya.
